Team PokerStrategy.com player PokerNoob and Pokerstrategy.com member psychobenny both busted on day 4 in the Main Event at the last moment. Only a couple places away from the final table, they were forced to leave the field one after the other.

They finished in 11th and 12th place respectively. With this finish they both earned £28,000. Congratulations to both players!

PokerNoob: Two Flips, No Dice

PokerNoob put on some good songs on his Ipod and made himself comfortable at the table, preparing for a long day that wouldn't finish before the last eight players would remain.

Rocking to his funky tunes, moving in his seat, he started playing really aggressive. As we are used of him he opened many pots and took them down post flop.

He continued doing this until he expanded his chip stack in front of him to 1.8 million, whereas he started with roughly 1.3 million. Doing so while not seeing many show downs, if any at all!

When the blinds kept increasing and reaching a critical stage for everyone, flips had to be won. PokerNoob made another steal from the button when the blinds peaked at 25,000/50,000 with a 5,000 ante. The small blind, a young pro, was no pushover and reshipped his 15 big blind stack.

PokerNoob holding King Queen made the call and was up against Ace Ten. A sixty/forty situation, but no luck for PokerNoob. Afterwards he was short and pushed in Jack Nine from the Cut-Off and the button called with pocket Eights.

No luck for PokerNoob in this race, and he was sent home in 11th place, taking £28,000 back with him.

PsychoBenny Three Outed

psychobenny couldn't get a break on this day. Benny, a player with a similar style to PokerNoob, and maybe even a bit more aggressive was called many things throughout the event. Mostly positive things such as Sicko Benny, referring to his Loose style.

Today things didn't want to go his way though. As he hovered around his starting stack for the first part of the day, he took a crucial blow to his stack when there were around 17 players remaining. See below.

After this hand Benny was forced to play short stacked with 500,000 in chips, around 10 big blinds, until he finally got it in. He pushed from the Small Blind and got called by the big blind. Benny holding Ace King and the Big Blind pocket Queens. A classic race, and unfortunately for Psychobenny, not one he could win. He was out in 12th place.

psychobenny is going back to Germany with £28,000 and a feeling of "what if".
