PokerStars Million Dollar Challenge: Father Trapp takes the stage
Father Andrew Trapp has made a quite impressive appearance in the first episode of PokerStars Million Dollar Challenge show, as he had to face two PokerStars Pros in order to claim the $100,000 cash prize.
The premiere episode of the FOX poker show PokerStars Million Dollar Challenge saw Father Andrew Trapp going heads-up against three different opponents to win $100,000 and a seat at the Table of Champions.
Trapp's first opponent was a former NBA star John Salley and a victory over him secured Trapp a ticket to the 2010 PokerStars Carribean Adventure in January.
Trapp's advisor throughout the first match was Daniel Negreanu, who couldn't see Trapp's hole cards but could advise him on the best course of action whenever he saw Trapp was in need of or requested help.

The second match featured a challenging opponent in the form of NBC Heads-up Championship runner-up Vanessa Rousso. During this match, Negranu (pictured right) was in the isolation booth where he could see Trapp's hole cards and give him advices through the earpiece Trapp wore.
Negreanu's advices nearly proved fatal for Trapp when the amateur held 8-7 on a flop of 5-6-7 and Rousso held 4-8 for a flopped straight. Negreanu told Trapp to put his chips in and the sooner he does it, the better. The turn came a four to split the pot and save Trapp from a potential disaster.
The final hand featured Rousso going all-in and Negreanu advising Trapp to call with K-7. The board came J-J-4-2-7 and Trapp won his second match. The third and the final match of the episode was against Negreanu. Trapp proved successful yet again and by defeating Negreanu he earned himself $100,000 as well as a seat at the Table of Champions.
Four more episodes will be aired on October 18th, November 22nd, December 13th and December 27th.
