WPT Adds Ireland to the 2012 Schedule
It took 10 seasons, but the World Poker Tour has finally added Ireland to the list of destinations. From January 5 - 8, the WPT will be stopping off at the capital of Ireland for the very first time. The event features a €2,500 buy-in alongside some tasty side events.

The WPT is headed north this winter to the emerald hills and the home of Guinness. All the fun kicks-off on Thursday, January 5 at Dublin's renowned City West Hotel. The four-day event will comprise of plenty of side events to accompany the €2,500 Main Event.
Online poker room PKR is set to sponsor the event as part one of a three-year deal.
Adam Pliska, President of the World Poker Tour said: "We are excited to be joining with our partner PKR.com to bring the World Poker Tour to Ireland for the very first time. The history and heritage of poker in the Emerald Isle make it a tremendous tour stop and the beautiful City West Hotel and all of its top-notch accommodations will make this a memorable event."
Just like most WPT stops, the winner of the event will walk away with a seat to the WPT World Championship worth $25,000.
Additonally, the WPT Ireland will also serve as the site for the Irish Poker Championships, formerly held in Galway off the west coast of Ireland. Players have the option to play in the €750 buy-in tournament as one of the many side events.
Between the tourist attractions in Dublin and plenty of side events to choose from, the WPT Ireland is sure to draw in poker players from all over - just don't forget to bundle up!
