An Unlikely Winner: from Third Place to the WPT in Paris
The World Poker Tour in Paris is just round the corner and PokerStrategist HeLLutek is really looking forward to it. After making a small deposit, he won a $15,000 package for Paris in our $10,000 depositor freeroll. We spoke to him about his win and his somewhat lucky circumstances.

When PokerStrategist hellutek woke up on the morning of August 25th and saw all the missed calls from abroad, his first thought was that a poker room wanted to make him a new offer. Then he saw the text from jakub, our Polish community manager: "You've won the $15,000 WPT package!"
The PokerStrategist hadn't reckoned with that, as he came third in the $10,000 depositor freeroll to qualify for the WPT Paris.
However, as there were Visa issues for the two Russian winners nbcommunist and unobuka, HeLLutek can pack his suitcase and join in the World Poker Tour Grand Prix de Paris.
The satellites on location are already underway and the Main Event gets under way on the 5th September with a buy-in of 7,500 Euro, at the Aviation Club de France – right in the heart of the French capital. HeLLutek's $15,000 winner's package includes the buy-in as well as six nights in the Radisson Blu Hotel and $2,000 holiday spending money.
Small buy-in, big profit
HeLLutek qualified via our $10,000 freeroll at PartyPoker.com. He had a good start and won lots of chips in the early phase where he won with AQ against K4 from an opponent who shipped almost every hand preflop.

"I sold two very nice suckouts and lost all five flips throughout the whole tournament", HeLLutek told us. That included a hand which finally pushed him out, but also brought him a WPT package and of course part of the $10,000 prize pool.
"I am a little nervous now, as I realize I will have to beat some poker pros, in order to get my first WPT title", quipped HeLLutek. He jokingly informed his friends before the freeroll that he would definitely be taking part in the WPT Paris.
