PokerStars MicroMillions Starts Today

Life changing prizes with buy-ins everyone can afford. $5 million is guaranteed over 100 events in the next ten days, with buy-ins between $0.11 and $22.

The third installment of the popular low stakes tournament series MicroMillions begins today on PokerStars.

The series begins with a $0.11 hyper-active (a hyper structure that slows down after the add-on) rebuy event that guarantees $10,000 today at 16:00 CET.

Over the course of the next ten days, tournaments with buy-ins ranging from less than $1 to $10 encompassing all poker variants guarantee $4 million in prizes.

This culminates in the Main Event, a $22 buy-in event that itself guarantees a $1 million prize pool. The last series played out in July, and saw Argentinian player SoyDelGlobo win $157,218 after besting a field of 65,063 in the Main Event.

Last week Barry Carter wrote a column praising MicroMillions for making a tournament series with life changing prizes which anyone can afford. Today PokerStars have echoed that sentiment, reminding micro stakes players everywhere how Russian player maratik turned an FPP satellite worth $0.64 into over $1 million.
