Watch Dan Bilzerian's Public Service Announcement

"Just because you can buy an exploding target, doesn't mean it's legal to mix and explode."

Dan Bilzerian PSA

A couple of months back, it emerged that millionaire playboy and "poker player" Dan Bilzerian had managed to avoid jail time after agreeing a deal to record a Public Service Announcement (PSA) for the Bureau of Land Management (BLM).

Bilzerian was arrested at LA International Airport in December on suspicion of bomb making after being connected to an incident involving explosives which occurred on BLM land, just outside Las Vegas.

He plead guilty to a minor misdemeanour charge of "negligently failing to extinguish a fire in the open" which led the more serious charges - such as manufacturing and distributing explosives - to be dismissed. He also agreed to pay over $17,000 in clean up costs.

Ultimately though, it was Bilzerian's insane Instagram army that saved him a conviction and up to 6 years behind bars.

With the amount of exposure he gets, 7.4 million people are currently subscribed to his updates on the photo-sharing application, the appeal of a Bilzerian branded PSA and the positive influence it could have was deemed enough for the judge to accept his agreement plea.
