Early WCOOP details released

No schedule yet but PokerStars have revealed the dates, Main Event details and some updates on new events for the 2017 WCOOP.

WCOOP 2017

The online equivalent of the WSOP returns to PokerStars next month. As yet the schedule for the World Championship of Online Poker has not been finalised but a PokerStars rep has shared a few details.

The schedule takes place between September 3 and until September 25.

'PokerStars Luke' is still asking for feedback on the schedule, but also confirmed:

The Super Tuesday and Thursday Thrill special editions will be different each week: half price in week one, their normal price but 3-day tournaments in week two, and $2,100 in week three. Also, for the first time ever, we’re going to run a HORSE Phase Event in which Phase 1s from Monday-Friday represent each HORSE letter (Monday as FLHE, Tuesday as FLO8, etc.), with the final Phase 1 and Phase 2 on Saturday being traditional HORSE. There’s some other bigger surprises I can’t share yet which I’m excited for you all to see.

As always the WCOOP Main Event will be $5,200 and takes place over three days, starting September 24, with a $10 million guarantee.
