GGPoker have introduced a Day 2 staking feature which values the players based on 'Adjusted Stack Markup', which is quite simply the number of starting stacks a player carries into Day 2.
Is that a reliable system? Professional poker players Adam Owen and Dara O'Kearney do not think so. They made a new video explaining the flaw with this model.
While they were keen to point out that they liked and appreciated the new feature from GGPoker, they gave an important reminder of the basics of ICM and how chips are worth more to short stacks than big stacks when you are deep in an MTT:
