What's wrong with encouraging people to come to Ongame? Best regs are on stars anyway and they aint leaving.

Hi Kurrkabinnice blog ♦
I once saw a vid where u talk about poker room selection
would like to confirm as i dont quite rememberYou say for lower limits sngs until 20$ its better in stars but above
u should try other rooms besides stars due to the number of regs ??thank you
That was <3 who commented room selection, but of course I have my own opinion, so I will share with you.

Hi
Can u tell me how many games have u played ? 6men,9men ?
Do u have to be 20 hours straight in the pc ?
I play in other sites , but instead of plaiyn allin like 4 hours u have to wait a lot...
So i maintain theres not a real alternative to stars , i mean the second room
has 25k players peak and stars has 200k ?
so we hardly can call any of the rooms an alternative , FTP was quite big
i played there and the games loaded really fast.I played almost 3k games in 139 hours, these were $22 and $33 5max games.
I don't disagree with you that stars is the biggest room, but I disagree with you that at least for SNG traffic, there is no alternative.
Don't forget that a large portion of the traffic on stars is also cash and MTT.
Obv you can't compare it to stars or FT, but I'd say if there is enough traffic to rake that much, it's a very viable option. But maybe I shouldn't encourage more ppl to come to Ongame
![]()
I wasnt refering to 5max but to 9 max
anyway , ongame according to rankin traficc sites has less than half the players in party or ipoker so im really surprised u can make that amountBeing able to play an average of 21 games per hour at those BIs on that network seems impressive
Ongame is by far the second best SnG traffic wise network nowadays imo. I played on Ipoker the last 3 months of 2011 and believe me- SnG traffic there is much worse. I believe Ongame>party for SnGs as well.
I play about 100 10-player games daily. It takes about 4,5 hours 10-tabling on the 22-33$ level during peak hours. 5-player SnG are even better. They never suffer lack of traffic.
Hey. I have favourited and followed your blog for a very long time now. I feel as if you're doing what I'm doing but at a much higher level. I'm currently playing 10max $1 SNGs on Poker770 under the username HairyTable. I started playing with the free capital and it's currently at around $30 (nothing spectacular).
I'm wondering whether or not you'd be interested in maybe running a few sweat sessions and helping me out in advancing through the micros in our chosen variant, just like you did.
ytsoP, happy to see you follow the blog for a long time already. I couldn't answer earlier, but let's get down to the point:
I saw that you added me already in the community tool. However, I have to keep myself very busy up until the end of the month as I want to reach my volume goals. Probably at around 1 or 2 of March I will have some extra time-an hour or so, I think I can help you out a bit with your SnG journey. I usually do HH reviews with players at my stakes, so take this as an exception. I hope you understand. One more thing to mention-sweat sessions are not as nearly as good as HH reviews . So just pick up 2-3 interesting HH imo, find some that you have hard time determining what to do, have a lot of questions about etc. We will do the review over skype and I will help with what I can
Cheers.

I've been checking this regularly waiting for a reply. Haha.
Thanks for being willing to help me out. I appreciate it a lot more than you probably think. I go to college, have a girlfriend, a job and a decent social life so I'm busy the majority of the time too - far too busy to make a blog about poker at the minute (although I'd like to make one eventually).
I'll probably choose around four, if that's okay. Two from either the early/middle stages of the tournament and two more from the later stages. I would have liked to have watched you play, mainly just to see the comparison in skill from somebody at my level to yours. I'll privately message you my Skype username and hopefully you can add me.
As for the meantime, I'll keep following your blog. Good luck.
Yo, ytsoP, no worries : ) Having such an active social life is great, man! Enjoy it
There is not much point imo of watching me play the 22$s and 33$s as game play will be different than lower stakes for one thing + ongame structure is kinda insane and differs from every other poker room. You need to adjust to you opponent tendencies. F.e. I doubt many 1$ regs have heard of nash, therefore these ranges won't be in a big help for you either : ) But we will discuss it later when we do the HH reviews. Until then- have fun and I will add you soon in skype.
Cheers!

There is one sick hand from these close to super turbo Ongame structures. I have <3 true big blinds. UTG+1 is a reg, rest is unknowns. I don't even know what range I am supposed to call here, I will probably open a discussion tomorrow in the forum, hopefully sir Collin Moshman or Pzhon will give me an idea : )

I do try to.
I've just looked up OnGame poker and it seems quite sophisticated. I can't see a way to download it though. I think I'd just enjoy watching you play just as a comparison but if it's too much effort then that's fine (honestly).
I'm trying to adapt to player tendencies as best as I can but due to lack of volume it's more difficult for me to actually take note of certain things, which is what I'm hoping to manage once I get more spare time. I've not heard of NASH. I guess I'll try and look it up fairly soon if I remember (I hope I do).
I'll be waiting (creepy voice).
if you are looking for a sweat partner i belive that kurrkabin is really busy because he has a really hard goal to reach.i play the 7$ SNG and if you want i will make a sweat session with you and try to find some leaks

Yeah, that would be cool. I'm not really free until Monday as I've got a shit tonne of coursework to get over and done with. I'll send you a friend request on here and message you my Skype username.
Thanks.
odds are good but ranges look pretty tight. i would just run some equity calcs and see what i can call here. JJ looks easy though. probably not calling hands like AQ/AK because your opponents often hold blockers to your pair outs. a hand like T9s would be more interesting here. didnt do the numbers though.

these numbers take ages to calculate, ffs! ♠_biggrin: Whatever. Man, it's a true massacre on Ongame. Not to mention the quality of the game...
Anyway, alxpoker91- thanks a lot for offering your help! And you are absolutely correct- I am really, really busy. Won't say that to drag attention or sympathy, or whatever. I chose it. That's the way it's gotta be. Only that I am a bit concern whether I am gonna be able to make the 15k rake until the end of April, but I started already, I don't plan on giving up. Not at all. I am running on schedule for February, raked over 3k already, need to rake about 1k more. March's gotta be tough though. For the last few days 10-player traffic sucks hard and today I managed to run 9 tables simultaneously only twice! During peak hours. Most of it was 5-6 tabling and that's not right. I was also mixing the 22s and 33s, but it wasn't a big help. Another thing to note as I want to keep my blog updated - I run awfully. I really do. I will be fine if I meet my EV line, but I think I am like 3,5% under EV as for this moment, which equals like 60 BIs. Hope I will continue to maintain + EV roi for the 10-player SnG and lines will meet by the end of the third month. If that happens- I will celebrate. Maybe spend 2-3 hours of my time helping a lower stakes player by giving advices or so, viewing HH or whatever. I can't buy you a beer anyway ♠_biggrin: But that's in the future and there is still lots of games to be played, so I don't want to go ahead of myself. I hope bad run will come to an end soon.
p.s. @ ytsoP, that doesn't mean I changed my mind. We will still do the HH.
Cheers.
Quickly daily:
Managed to rake the 200$ today too. I felt kinda tired at a moment, as I was rushing to get the volume done. Once again- traffic for 10-player SnG went down at about 5-6 p.m. What is this? Yesterday was even worse, but I noted that already. At the end, I ended up 4-tabling the 22$s, not because I wanted it so, but because traffic was down! So I added up some 5-player. The whole day I was running bad , but the 18 x 5-player SnG at the end made me come up with about 130$+ profit . EV line also went up a bit. Raked so far about 3,3k, I plan on adding about a thousand more till the end of February. Possibly a bit less- 800 or so. Still will do. I am going out for a drink or two any time soon.
Cheers.

Oh, cmon, don't boost my ego, we both know you are the the-high-volume machine. Not me. But I will try to play a similar quantity of games.
And a quick post.
Damn, man! Last night was so crazy! I had such a good time. I think got back home between 7 or 8 in the morn. We went to drink a few beers in a bar and went to a house music party afterwards, I got so wasted, I didn't even realize that until I wake up 2 hours after going to bed. My lips were super thick, bloody red, eyes puffy etc. Usual stuff only that this time I took few hours for the headache to go away.
Problem was grinding. I knew I had to play about a hundred games to make the 200$ rake, but traffic was a bad surprise again. Anyway, managed to make it somehow by playing 6 straight hours, no break, only a meal in between. 2 things to note- I ran not so well once again and at a certain moment, I was like 360$ down. Last 10 games were good though, so I finished almost BE for the day pre rakeback. EV line went up a bit more, so that's definitely a positive thing. Hope it stays there. So far, I've played like 1600 games or so, running like 4-4,5% under Ev. Hope that gets better too.

Props for being able to play for 6 hours when you come home in that condition and at that time. Usually when I have these days, I just lay on my bed and watch some shows for the whole day ♦
Also credit for running above BE EV wise in these sicko 10max games.
Im guessing you gave up the pursuit for SN on stars for a better rakeback deal at onGame?
