should i have pushed or see the free flop is better?

Hero (BB): 5,968 (19.9 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 4 4
SB completes, Hero checks

Flop: (650) 6 8 7 (2 players)
Hero checks, SB bets 900, Hero folds

Results: 650 pot
Final Board: 6 8 7
SB mucked and won 650 (325 net)
Hero mucked 4 4 and lost (-325 net)

I would make it ~800, if you think he could fold here, but if you see him playing every hand in HU, than better check, don't like pushing, because you still have 20 bb, and most likely it's flip.

I hate to check and would at least have put the SB to the test pre-flop. If he re-raises or shoves there is an easy way out and if he calls he at least pays for seeing a flop. Almost every flop will be horrible for the Hero if he not hit his set.

Hi all,

Raise the hand preflop to 800. As played check/folding this flop is the best play. Our equity against hands with 1 diamond is around 50% assuming their diamond is higher than our 4 :diamond: and we're dead to 6 outs if they have a pair to go with it.
