He makes these outlandish claims about having a difficult daughter, it's all lies. I've met her, a pure delight. She's very generous too especially with her toys.
I think she's just easily confused by her father insisting on using poker parlance in his everyday speech.
For example:
Mrs Nibb: "Would you like to get a curry for dinner?"
Nibb: "Snap call"
She lacks the nomenclature to keep up with your poker ways.
He doesn't deserve your pity anyway, his son just sits around loving life all day, it's just kid variance.
Actually I'm just pissed at him because he keeps sitting next to me playing awful music whilst we both grind it out.
The graph is sick man... The beating you took between the 900th and 1000th SNG imho would have discouraged 65% of regulars or made them join the whiny crowd of "poker is rigged" theorists.
Sorry to hear about the kid causing problems, I'm 21 and even though I do live with my missus it's still a long time till we have a kid, so I can't really give you advice... Perhaps it would benefit you and Mrs N to go and consult some (child) psychologist?
I agree that that part of the graph is crazy but in perspective I was playing the worst poker I have in a long time, game was littered with mistakes and when you're playing Break Even - 2%ROI poker you're going to have ridiculous swings like that.
The girl won't be a problem, she's an angel, just likes to test us every now and then. I feel like we (eventually) passed this one and she seems much more content now. 21 is young to live with your missus huh, are you married ? Me & mrs n have been living together since we were 15, I promise you, it doesn't get better !

We're not married, no! Married at 21 that'd be insane. 21 just feels too young to make such a commitment even though we're pretty good with each other.

Piss poor weekend for volume. It all started on Wednesday night really, went to play in my local game down the pub and decided to hit the ale, got gloriously cunted and somehow (see below) made a nice profit. Didn't finish up till 2:30AM, stumbled in to find a disgruntled Mrs N who promptly reopened the door I'd just mashed closed with my flailing body and gestured for me to use it. I did, dog house.
So Thursday I spent feeling sick, sorry for myself and apologising to Mrs N. Friday I spent feeling sorry for myself and apologising to Mrs N until the afternoon/evening which I spent looking after my Daughter and Niece up at my Sisters house. Saturday I spent with the family in the day then our lovely parents took a child each to allow me and Mrs N to go out for the evening. Went to the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester to watch the BBC Phil play some Chopin, Bernstein & Copland courtesy of one of the French Horns, I met playing poker in our local game: AndyWB. Thanks for that Andy ! The Pianist for the Chopin gave an amazing, emotional performance, flawless. Some of him playing Chopin's Revolutionary from a couple of years back here...
Great night that. Sunday I spent entertaining the kids, cleaning the house and attempting to start some kind of exercise regime. By the time I reached the evening after a long weekend I could only bring myself to play an hour or so on the push/fold cash tables... meh.
So I write this as a contract with myself that I WILL put in some volume today. I'll have my blog and any of you lot left reading it (see: jbpatzer & Liber94) to answer to tonight should I come back with less than 6 Hours of play under my belt. Although he has LAG opening/calling ranges, so far as 3betting and particularly squeezing through 3 players goes I think I can nail him down to QQ+, AKs here. So my plan (whilst forgetting that there are other players in the pot!!) is to attack any medium cards on scary looking boards for him 986 T98 monotone/two tone etc. He's made a couple of big folds to me & also paid off in some spots where he really shouldn't have in the last couple of weeks so I figure I should have decent respect and FE. That, coupled with position & deep stacks, I think make it a vaguely justifiable call

Since I last posted, been taking shots at $20's and getting smacked back down but the $10's and my last shot at $20 have seen me in nice profit for the last two days.
Going for another 6hrs today and I'm almost ready to hit those $20's properly again.
Pattern emerging that weekends are tough for me to find volume with the family etc. So it's motivating me to put in some extra hours during the week, going to aim for 7-8 hours on at least a couple of days this week. This is the past 4 days anyhow
