I've started playing in the tournaments and cashed in quite a few of them and was thinking i might give the cash games a shot, although is it more swingy? Because people play their draws a lot more would you say the variance in omaha is higher then in holdem?

preflop equities run much closer together. Swings are deffo more frequent and bigger on average than for NLHE
In standard deviation terms it's about double. A reasonable full ring holdem player will be between 70-80 sd/100 but in Omaha that's easily 120-140 sd/100.
Hi OarrO

You can reduce the variance a lot with your own playing style. Of course that might also reduce your winrate. But at least in micros playing small ball reduces the variance a lot.
