Hi maheepsangari,

The description is a bit misleading. What is meant, is that both hole cards have to be used for the actual hand value, thus excluding kickers. This does make perfectly sense for the winning hand Kicks.

Now, I can see this is a bit over the top for this Kick because, as you stated, that essentially reduces the whole thing to only three winning hand combinations (1x TP, 2x FH).

Here's what we'll do:

We'll change the wording and the conditions for this Kick such that the whole winning hand including kickers is observed.

We'll retroactively assign the Kick to you.

Thanks for pointing this out.

Cheers,
M.

Alrighty - cleared that one up. :)

@tokyoaces: Your report on a post in this thread is noted. However, I'm not going to change it since it's technically correct. See the post above me for a detailed explanation.

I grew up in Texas and never seen cow crap piled up so high.

Can you guys just admit it was a mistake all along? Statments like the following are just flat out wrong:

The 7 was not just a kicker. It plays as part of the five card poker hand.

I suggest reading The rules of Texas Hold'em so you can learn facts like:

A poker hand always consists of five cards. Not four, not seven, but exactly five.

I have to agree, get of that high horse and admit your mistake.
Everybody makes mistakes, even you, so man up and call a shoe a shoe, not a sock.

Hey guys,

to clarify:

The '7' technically does play a role, in a sense that it completes heroes final poker hand.

In this particular case however, the kicker card, or '7', is not relevant when we determine the winner of this hand. This is the part where the description needs to be changed and we are going to do that. (See 'PS.Markus' statement).

I said

...you did not use both of your cards for the final hand.

and I apologize for the confusion. Technically, he used both this cards, but his second card was, as stated before, not necessary to win the pot.

I hope this clears things up a bit.

Cheers,
Markus

4 cards does not make a poker hand. Hire better programmers next time and give the man the kick he deserves.

His final/best POKER hand is QQ2 from the board and 72 from his hole cards.

+1

You just contradicted yourself? Its like saying well his final hand was AAQQ5, when he was holding AQ but he only needed one pair to win as his opponent was bluffing so it doesnt count that he had two pairs

Yeah you don't win anything from this kick and it is worthless.

I was just tired one night after a long session and thought I wanted to have some fun ( this is usually when I play Stud Hi Lo with play money and thought I'd try out for that kick so went to NL 2. Max I'd have lost 5 BIs which wouldn't mean much at NL 2 and not like I was gonna do this everyday.
