I checked behind on the turn to avoid a slowplayed Jack. Was this ok?

i dont like ur raise on the flop. a jack really is in his defending range from the bb. ure equity and backdoor equity is really low here. only an ace or a queen might help u here, but vs a jack ure almost drawing dead. so i just call the flop and re-evaluate on the turn.

as played i think u have to call the river. he can easily have a small pp which is counterfeit right now. if he bets like 1/2+ ps i fold.

Hey!

The check behind on the turn would be good since we have good showdown value here.
I'm not happy about your raise on the flop. We need to maximize our value from that part of his range what we comfortably have beat, which is pretty wide considering that this is a paired board, and it's hard for him to have either a 3 or a J.
So I'd advise calling the flop bet hoping for a cheap showdown. I'm calling on most turns and rivers as well unless he starts betting big.

Hi all,

tnx for the help. I raised the flop because his small bet seems weak or a bluff induce, so i thought that by raising he would either fold or 3bet, but i guess now its better to just call.

but the thing is, we don't have KQ here. We have the 2nd best ace high hand, on a paired board => the best bluffcatcher.
