To hit a royal flush

long time - no see. I've been inactive on this forum for four months. Mostly because I have played poker close to nothing at all. But my 9 month project has been going on.

I'm pleased to inform you that I'm no longer in debt. I've also found a great job to fit with my poker aspirations. I will be managing luna park for little children (up to 5 years old). Working is done only over the weekends and some "big" dates - national holidays and such. Up to 10 working days in month (and could be less - even 0), and this is the best part - even if there is no work for a single day i will still get paid for whole month ♦. It's not a huge amount of money, but the job can hardly be called a job and those $400 that i get is a decent amount here in Croatia.

With this job I will be playing poker on workdays. 6 hours a day. No tracking software for the first month, playing NL10 on 24h poker, deposited €320.

As for my poker career since I started this blog, I've made $832,87. With initial $320 that's a total of $1152,87. Kept €320, rest went on important shit in life like paying back debt.

You already know where I play, what and how. Now here are May goals:

Play for 6 hours on each day I can
Be at least breakeven
Go to a town where my college is and unite with some friends
While there resolve issues around continuing education
Buy HEM 2

Playing on EACH DAY I CAN means playing while in college town as well as on each day off from work.

First 6 days of play in this month and an average of >4000 hands/day. Feeling like I'm on my goal.

It started off badly and continued for 15 000 hands. Those type of loses that EV line doesn't show but you know are there. And not so great number of those that EV line does show. I don't usually look at the EV line at all but had it on first time i looked at the graph and it seemed like a dance of catching golden line with the green. My play felt like that too. I was playing good, completely out of any sort of tilt and kept saying to myself MINIMIZE THE LOSES, minimize them while this bad run is still here.

After 4 days of crappy running and mentally tiring play the big boom happened, had a period of 30 minutes where i won 9 BI. Things started going well from there for these last 2 days too.

Enjoy the graph that shows all I described but fails miserably to make any sort of indication how a player feels while he is going through all the crap - and I had it easy!

To those grinders running bad out there - keep grinding and keep your heads up, better times are coming, maybe even in a few minutes

today I've played my first day entirely on NL20 - not a lot though.
My monthly goals are so messed up by all sorts of things... but more about that on 1st of next month.

I don't know what to think about how my day went on NL20. Below EV but still +2 BI... basically if every day went like this who gives a damn about AA vs AKo loses. Here's a graph so see for yourself:

Also check out this hand. MP is a REGULAR 22/18 guy who limps first time I've seen in 1000+ hands. Really weird. Later in chat he said he limps because fish behind him will limp (WTF?).

And now the WTF donk all-in on river. I just can't imagine this play with anything other than flush. Sets don't push here, you lose value vs 2 pair hands and get yourself all-in for a huge pot only with flushes. Nothing worse than my hand pushes here so I find a fold. And then another WTF in spoiler xD. Totally and completely misplayed hand by my opponent?

yesterday I have hit my very first royal flush.
It was the most retarded way to hit one, but still better than never.

lol ! Badly played by your villain. He loses value VS set or 2 pair and you always call here with a flush. It's a -EV move.

The ultimate target: Get a full stack while using both holecards once in each suit.

month of May is behind us. My goals for the month pretty much make no sense since much has changed due to other people factor. Therefore, I give myself one week extension to the month and I will review them then.

Until then here are the graphs of my May poker adventure. I have moved up to 0.10/0.20€ near the end of the month so three graphs:

I was amazed myself how much money I have picked up in 20 active days of poker on NL10. This is really great. Let's hope I can do the same or better in June on NL20!

As for cashouts, I requested €200. Everything else stays as bankroll, I really want a poker career. And BTW 24h poker is freaking great. Not only will they exchange EUR to USD by 1.237 rate (moneybookers does so by 1.219 rate) but they also charge a fee for that of small 0.75% (moneybookers charges 2,5%!). Oh and yeah, my cashout took very very little time. In 4 minutes cash was on moneybookers!
