I think you should have gone all-in.

You had 9 :heart:outs + Possibly 3 Aces(if he's not holding the pocket pair of 5,10 or 9)

He might have had pocket pair of these 5.9.10 or a higher pocket pair. AA, KK, QQ, or even AK.

I put that in Equilab and gave a villain 36% range, that's a SH ORC (Tight)

Even the calculations show that you have 62% equity and 61% + win this hand.

So my opinion is, go all-in. But Veriz will give us the best answer i am sure

Don't donk on the flop, check/raise and get it in, you have good equity vs his range.

What's the reason for donking the flop? You are rarely gaining more fold equity with it and nor doesn't of course make sense to donk like that. If we donking then I can't see how you can fold it but rather Check/Raise and gain even fold equity and get it in.
