Hello again!

Most of you guys will know me already from my previous blogs both here and here. Since the last blog I've been on a Poker time out. In hindsight I should not have started the second blog so soon after the first as I didn't feel right mentally at the time and as we all know this is not a very good idea.

Yes I'm back in the blogging section once again! This edition is going to be more serious though. The blog title says it all really - Crawling before walking does exactly what it says on the tin!

I've been playing poker for too long now and have very little to show for it - so it's time to get BLOODY serious and it's time to start from the bottom and work my way up the correct way - through hard work, discipline and LEARNING.

I emphasise the word learning because in almost every aspect of SNGs I need to learn the basics!

My aims here are very simple - but let's see if I have what it REALLY takes to get there!

This will be a SNG blog exclusively and I will be playing at PokerStars.

I will start at the very bottom for Fullring turbo SnGs which is a $1.50 buy in. I am granting myself a 75 BI bankroll and I hope to make it to the $3 games exclusively by September 1st of this year.

GOALS FOR JULY:

[ ] Play 150 $1.50s
[ ] Review each and every game in HEM
[ ] Mark at least 3 hands from each SNG for Hand Evaluations
[ ] Be winning player for the month

Unfortunately, my spare time for poker is not a lot so I am intending to aim low and take my time on this.

Wish me luck!

Thanks for reading,
Gary!

In before JB blows his top about me starting another blog :P

Anyways.... I failed to mention that I will be getting some coaching from our long-time member and new coach Tim64. He has just started his private coaching here with PokerStrategy.com.

I am really looking forward to this and I have no doubt that Tim will be able to help me on the right road :)

Today I played a 4 game set which seems like an eternity ago! It was at 7am this morning

In the end, I was happy with my overall play. Still going over the basics so I marked a lot of hands in HEM and posted them for evaluation. All in all - it looks like I have a lot of stuff to learn and learn correctly this time around!

At this point I will be playing very little and absorbing as much knowledge as possible!

Ended the set with 1 victory, 1 third and 2 no cashes so a huge $2.xx profit!

Thank you Gerovit!

Nice pic Ingi :)

Will be home from work shortly so going to review this mornings session and post some more hands for evaluation. I have the poor judges on overdrive at the moment but at least I'm learning new stuff :)

Let's hope this old dog can be taught new tricks

Played a decent session of 8 games this evening! Not too bad at all volume wise for me anyways.

Played fairly decent from memory but only cashed twice and they were both second places. I ran into monster hands everywhere but hopefully I will make a nice shiny review in the morning if I get up in time!

Not too worried about results at this point. My goal for the first two weeks is to get the ruddy basics down and read a few articles and watch some videos.

Looking forward to my coaching as well :)

I really hope Tim knows what he has got himself into :P

Ciao for now!

Hero's M: 19.11

Preflop: Hero is SB with K, A
1 fold, Button bets t375, Hero raises t825, BB raises t4555 (All-In), 1 fold, Hero calls t3400 (All-In)

Turn: (t8975) 2 (2 players, 2 all-in)

BB had 8, 8 (two pair, eights and twos).
Outcome: BB won t8975

Villains stats: 31/25, Steal: 50, 3B: 0 over 33 hands.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Probably could have folded and waited for a better spot but I could not let go of that super shiny A-high that everyone just loves to hate

Was running into a lot of monsters last night in the late goings. I did make up for it in this hand though ;)

Always nice to flop a straight

Spending a lot of time reviewing my hands at the moment. In fact I'm probably over doing it. Just completed my session review from last night and posted a tonne of hands for evaluation. Once I'm happy that I've the basics down (bet-sizing, cbets, push/fold I am going to watch some videos and delve a lot more into ICM)

Have yourselves a good Friday folks!

Another sigh session tonight consisting of 6 games.

Only one cash though which I'm not best pleased about cos I like to win  but today was not my day.

In almost every game I had a big hand early on that either got outdrawn on the flop or was not good enough to continue on with. Will review all hands in the morning and post some hands for evaluation as there is still a lot of spots where I am unsure.

God help Chenny and parodiq in the hand evaluation forums!

After game 5 where I was CL with 3 remaining I proceeded to lose every flip and by the time I exited in 3rd I tilt shoved something rather bad in the final game :(

At least it was the end of the session but I am going to have to work on my tilting!

Noticed you guys are posting a whole bunch so maybe I should post some threadsavers?
