thanks everyone, but that's being result oriented didn't play that great and some hands indeed could be better, specially with regards to sizing so that i don't have to randomly massively increase it in later streets.
also shouldn't FPS so much vs fish but it's quite enjoyable

about this specific KK hand i think it's better to 4bet so that we can easily play for the deeper stacks.
i think you're talking about more regular guys though :P still yeah, this call3bet with KK+ isn't something i do.

i'll post yesterday's update in a few hours or something. :f_biggrin:
not sure if i'll play today because i caught a cold+fever which sucks for my mental state. i'm taking the time to database review some regs instead, just because

so here comes the yesterday update :f_biggrin:

graph:

Spoiler

despite the number of hands almost nothing of interest really happened :f_biggrin:
still let's post two hands

vs reg who cbets more than his fair share, 80% cbet on flop and turn:

PokerStars - $0.25 NL ZOOM - Holdem - 9 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

Hero (BTN): $26.03
SB: $24.23
BB: $29.01
UTG: $46.08

Flop: ($1.75, 2 players) 9♥ 6♥ J♠
UTG+2 bets $1.04, Hero calls $1.04

i just call because, well, just give him rope to hang himself.
plan is to calldown 3 barrels unless a disaster happens (4flush/4straight). if turn and river blank i shove river _evil:

Turn: ($3.83, 2 players) Q♣
UTG+2 bets $2.56, Hero calls $2.56

not the best card but it's okay. :f_biggrin:

ok cya tomorrow :f_cry: or later today if we're pedantic

so well... today update:

Spoiler

so, just HOW does that work?
i stack a fish, spew some monies around, stack another fish. repeat :f_biggrin:

examples:

PokerStars - $0.25 NL ZOOM - Holdem - 9 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BTN: $75.23
Hero (SB): $27.62
BB: $29.99
UTG: $12.25
UTG+1: $20.00
UTG+2: $11.50
MP: $65.68
MP+1: $64.97
CO: $46.47

Hero posts SB $0.10, BB posts BB $0.25

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.35) Hero has T♣ Q♥

fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to $0.69, BB calls $0.44

Flop: ($1.38, 2 players) 5♥ 9♠ J♣
Hero bets $0.91, BB calls $0.91

Turn: ($3.20, 2 players) 8♣

Hero bets $2.38, BB calls $2.38

River: ($7.96, 2 players) 2♠
Hero bets $23.64 and is all-in, ...

tanks, BB calls $23.64

Hero shows T♣ Q♥ (Straight, Queen High) (Pre 40%, Flop 47%, Turn 100%)
BB mucks K♦ 9♦ (One Pair, Nines) (Pre 60%, Flop 53%, Turn 0%)
Hero wins $53.24

at least i THINK i can find a reason for this, he put me on AK obv. let's go to the next one:

PokerStars - $0.25 NL ZOOM - Holdem - 9 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BTN: $32.69
SB: $13.52
BB: $25.00
UTG: $27.84
UTG+1: $19.89
Hero (UTG+2): $25.33
MP: $27.85
MP+1: $28.17
CO: $29.39

SB posts SB $0.10, BB posts BB $0.25

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.35) Hero has J♣ K♣

UTG calls $0.25, fold, Hero raises to $0.99, MP calls $0.99, fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, fold

Flop: ($2.58, 2 players) J♠ K♥ 7♠
Hero bets $1.91, MP raises to $5.00, ...

obvious 77? i guess i have to pay you off this time

Hero raises to $11.72, MP raises to $26.86 and is all-in, Hero calls $12.62 and is all-in

Turn: ($51.26, 2 players) 3♥

River: ($51.26, 2 players) K♠

Hero shows J♣ K♣ (Full House, Kings full of Jacks) (Pre 41%, Flop 94%, Turn 100%)
MP shows A♣ 8♣ (One Pair, Kings) (Pre 59%, Flop 6%, Turn 0%)
Hero wins $49.26

so, maybe he thought he had some fold equity with the shoving? that also makes no sense but i have to try to get into their heads somehow.

as you've seen that's quite some contenders for play of the day. it was pretty damn close but i think the next one deserves it
so... play of the day:

PokerStars - $0.25 NL ZOOM - Holdem - 9 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BTN: $14.90
Hero (SB): $24.99
BB: $21.76
UTG: $47.24
UTG+1: $23.65
UTG+2: $135.78
MP: $22.44
MP+1: $12.15
CO: $26.65

Hero posts SB $0.10, BB posts BB $0.25

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.35) Hero has 2♥ 2♠

fold, fold, fold, MP raises to $0.75, fold, fold, fold, Hero calls $0.65, fold
villain is 10/8/51h which only makes it better.

Flop: ($1.75, 2 players) J♦ 2♦ 5♣
Hero checks, MP bets $1.33, Hero raises to $4.31, MP raises to $9.95, ...

at this point i'm obviously slightly worried about an overset. well whatever

Hero raises to $24.24 and is all-in, ...

at this point he tanks...
what, didn't you want to just ship the monies? :f_mad: at least now i know that he doesn't have an overset, most likely QQ+. PLEASECALLPLEASECALLPLEASECALL

MP calls $11.74 and is all-in

Turn: ($45.13, 2 players) T♠

River: ($45.13, 2 players) 2♣

Hero shows 2♥ 2♠ (Four of a Kind, Twos) (Pre 53%, Flop 93%, Turn 91%)
MP shows Q♣ A♦ (One Pair, Twos) (Pre 47%, Flop 7%, Turn 9%)
Hero wins $43.13

.....OHWAIT.

no, i mean really, seriously. AQo? while he even cuts a lot of my FD combos with the A:d? i just can't find any reasoning here.
so in the end this gets my award for play of the day, but as you see it was tough

anyway i guess i shouldn't be complaining

may you find fish, live long and prosper :f_biggrin:

he's never folding a Qx on the flop, and also probably never folding AQ on the turn.
he can fold it on the river but i make it harder for him :f_biggrin: it's a bet/fold from my side of course, if i'm c/minr'd it's always going to be TT or better.

Hero shows K♥ K♦ (Two Pair, Kings and Threes) (Pre 91%, Flop 91%, Turn 95%)

CO shows K♠ A♥ (Two Pair, Aces and Tens) (Pre 63%, Flop 82%, Turn 18%)
Hero wins $54.99

standard obv, no one ever folds AK when it hits.

this 2nd barrel is heavily questionable, specially if i knew my villain :f_eek:

River: ($9.78, 2 players) Q♠
guess what guys!

Hero bets $20.15 and is all-in, ...

MP calls $15.86 and is all-in

Hero shows K♥ A♣ (Straight, Ace High) (Pre 69%, Flop 29%, Turn 16%)

hello!

so let's talk a bit of strategy.
i'll make this post about... table selection in zoom/speed/rush/whatever tables.

introduction

yeah, that DOES exist.
first off, contrary to popular belief, there's plenty of fish in zoom. really!
so what are the problems?

one is that the regs join with like 4 entries, so it ends up that you see them way more often.
another (which is not a THAT huge issue imo) is that the fish play tighter, because, well, they can. so they may just happen to skip playing that 69 offsuit, and some even practice some hand selection that actually remotely resembles solid play.

still they are fish, so you just soul own them postflop. (you see these hands here nearly every day)
but first, you have to know who the fish are. but how to go about it?

one method

i use some color coding.
what you want to do is at least to:

1. mark the regs asap

how to spot a reg?
his stack never drops below the maximum buy-in and he has somewhat reasonable stats. use your feeling, 50 hands may already be enough to spot a likely one.
you may want to make some distinction between aggressive, passive, whatever regs... but that's not really the point, you just want to avoid the regs if you don't know them enough/are at the bottom of your range/something.

then, what do you do with that?
if there are like 5 regs behind you, be tighter with your hand selection.
if one of them is apparently a good, aggressive 3-bettor, be tighter with your hand selection.
there ARE better spots.

2. mark the broken stacks

that's easy. this guy is playing with a 69bb stack, so you go ahead and mark him.
i'd recommend to just use a special color and not rush to mark him as "fish". sometimes they do play solid enough and/or play some kind of multistack strategy. what you know is only that he's more likely to be a fish.
also you may want to give some leeway, ie only mark <90bb stacks (some regs only rebuy at that point to try to level you), not mark players with stacks between ~35-55bb (may be midstackers), use a different color for players who reach <10bb stacks, use a different color for players who are or look like reasonable mid/multistackers.

then, what do you do with that?
adapt as if they were fish. ie bet HUGE for value and protection, and be more inclined to value overbet shove rivers

3. mark the confirmed fish

okay, so this guy called three potsize bets with third pair no kicker.
there you go! you definitely found a fish. mark him and be happy with your discovery.

against fish you obv want to play more hands, mostly whatever hand has some potential whenever you're in position. then you river the nuts, overbet shove and print money. ezzz

so that's a little something about table selecting on zoom.
i hope it may be useful for someone, sometime :f_biggrin: find fish, live long and prosper.

Nice read, I also do something like that ( playing zoom nl10) but I mostly still end up in pots vs regs. I will add u on community tool and maybe we can switch skype IDs and talk a little about zoom!
Also, I find it quite hard to take specific notes while 4 tabling.
