After hearing the news that PokerStrategy had discontinued their affiliation with 888poker I began to search around the net for more news on 888 and their shady payment processor Cassava Enterprises.
Cassava have consistently fucked me over with cashouts - reimbursing me with 4.5 month old exchange rather than the current USD/AUD exchange, taking 4 weeks to process a single transaction.
This looks to be true in other parts of their business as well:

This thread needs some atention imo. I played there too. I always found their support kinda retarded, slow and dumb, but never had such problems. Just reading thru the 2p2 threads, rly ridic stuff.

I've read the whole thing... only logical conlcusion is that 888 are bunch of thieves (along with that Cassava) -.-

I didn't find that funny at all. It made me a bit angry to be honest. Maybe that's do to the fact that I got screwed by FullTilt and I know the feeling when pokersite fcuks you up the arse.
Recently I've been looking for a new poker site to play on. 888 was one of the options. Not any more.

No I don't think it was because of these stories in particular. They most likely ended the affiliation for business reasons. However, irregardless, Cassava is a shady organisation shown by these scandals and my personal experiences with them.
I was charged a 4-month old exchange rate (1USD = 0.78AUD instead of 1USD = 1.12AUD) when cashing out - giving them less money to deposit into my account. They also froze a transaction after my account remained inactive for 3 months. They are a shady organisation that is trying to milk every last cent out of our poker accounts.

I think personally, that 888 were tired of paying Pokerstrategy rake and they were probably not even sending that many fish 888's way to be a good affiliate. So 888 told Pokerstrategy to bugger off. 888 ended the relationshop I think anyway.
Why would pokerstrategy turn down money from rake generated by their players by ending the deal, do pokerstrategy look like a company that in the past ever turned down money from sites........just saying. Some people have already made points about other poker sites who did dodgy things and pokerstrategy never terminated dealings with them.
888 now save money instantly as they don't have to deal with pokerstrategy or give them rake % or money.
My opinion anyway from the outside looking in. I think sites are beginning to wake up to the fact they like their sites softer and want their full % in rake and do not want to share anymore with affiliates.
I bet 888 paid pokerstrategy some money to end the deal fast and with not pain in the ass.

my point was rather that i'm glad that it's over, even if probably just for pure business and not actually "ethical" reasons.
Please PokerStrategy use this as a chance to add a new room (BUT NOT I-POKER, ONGAME etc...A NEW NETWORK YOU CURRENTLY ARN'T AFFILIATED WITH!!!)

With affiliates or regs :). It's better if all the money from the system ends up as rake or to the casino slots instead of being withdrawn.
