btw my analysis assumes perfect play vs AAxx post

I see what you are trying to say but it is a completely different situation.

I think it is correct here to call preflop if we have 33.33% because:

- We know his exact range
- He is gonna shove every flop, there is NO postflop play

We can make PERFECT decisions against his range preflop so if we have 33.33% and make a perfect decision on the flop against his known range, our play is 0EV.

Ofc in some scenarios I will make a bad play against his actual hand, but this doesnt matter. He will flop fd+sd+overpair and I will call without the required equity but he is shipping ANY hand of his range in that situation so it doesnt matter.

The call pre is just so WE can make profitable decisions postflop. HE can not. He ships every flop since he will have only 0.5 PSB left. He can not make correct decisions anymore postflop (shoving is the only option). But we can get away on certain flop if we dont have the required equity against his range, for example 22x, A62r etc.

absolutely, but my analysis takes that into account. basically it says that if we get it in 45% of the time (that's the amount of the time we will flop something that has greater than 38% equity against AAxx) we'll get it in with around 60% equity on average.

my numbers were so disgustingly wrong fwiw. think we decided that:

1. we're losing like 4bb on the call
2. calling is cool anyway cause u can't win if u fold

Urgh, pretty confused about a hand that just occured:

UTG shows 8♣ A♣ J♦ Q♣ (Two Pair, Aces and Eights) (Pre 36%, Flop 76%, Turn 85%)
Hero shows T♣ K♥ Q♥ Q♦ (One Pair, Kings) (Pre 64%, Flop 24%, Turn 15%)
UTG wins $518.56

He is always bluffing on the river since he cant even shove Jhi flush vs me with my big riverbet. But my line is really nuts or air so shoving 2p there makes no sense. He is a reg on 400 so i figured he will know that. If he thinks im light here he can even call with a single pair of aces. I tanked tho to call ofc since he can turn some weak TP in a bluff altho i think mostly he has nothing at all. Hmpf X( at least he said wp in the chat so he thinks his line was awesome and im a huge donk .

Today I had a really lame session. Just played 5h on 6-9 tables between 400 and 1k. I think I played really well. I was focused and made quite some cool moves. Was up quite a bit but then last 30 mins were kinda nasty :

Sup guys,

Im grinding a lot lately. Made a solid amount of money last month and aiming for the same this month. Together with my housemate we made a bet to ourselves that we will go to Korea and play a poker tourney there + obv ballin it out a bit if we both make 13k this month. 10k for just general savings towards the future and 3k for our, hopefully, one-week trip to Korea :f_biggrin:. Im already up 6-7k already thanks to some pretty nice pots on higher stakes cash PLO but we'll see how it goes.

Some cool hands:

His check back on flop is kinda weak. He never has aces there and almost never a qeen. Usually some lower pairs that try to get 2p on the turn or some low fd with sd or small pair. His bet on the turn is very bluffy. The only hand he could legitimately can vbet here is a Jhi flush or so. Oftentimes he will even just check T and get the value on the R. So easy call. His river bet is really bluffy, I dont see any valuehand he can have here AT ALL, unless he misclick checked F with aces. I was also pretty sure I would beat his bluff so fairly easy call, although it took me a lot of time to figure it out and make it.

River was welcome in this hand :f_love:

rules question? :P

you must take two hole cards and three community cards, so... if they take the 8 or the T to make a pair, they can't take the three 3 and so they'd only have a lame twopair.

as in, let's take bb.
if he takes 833 his hand will be K8833, so since he doesn't have 88/TT/the 3 then he better take 333 because 3oak > twopair.
but then he has taken his fair share of community cards, so since he also has no pocket pair in his hole cards what counts are his high cards. so he has KQ333
by the same reasoning mp has AQ333. AK333 > all so print monies :f_grin:

i know that this is probably super trivial but i don't play plo so i decided to take the exercise upon myself
also, hello out of nowhere :f_biggrin:

as in, let's take bb.
if he takes 833 his hand will be K8833, so since he doesn't have 88/TT/the 3 then he better take 333 because 3oak > twopair.
but then he has taken his fair share of community cards, so since he also has no pocket pair in his hole cards what counts are his high cards. so he has KQ333
by the same reasoning mp has AQ333. AK333 > all so print monies :f_grin:

i know that this is probably super trivial but i don't play plo so i decided to take the exercise upon myself
also, hello out of nowhere :f_biggrin:

You sir deserve a medal :f_cool:. Especially liked the part of "AK333 > all so print monies :f_grin:

Oh and hi to you too

It was just funny cause my friends were railing a bit and on the river they were: ah, sucks man, and im like wtf, i got tha nuts :f_biggrin:

Internet is pretty good. Not super fast but fairly reliable, get like disconnected 2-3 times a month or so but mostly not long. We have mobile AP as back up and a power generator in case power runs out
