hey...didn't play for some time, cashed out something as I needed to cover some expenses so my bankroll is around 115 so have to drop down to NL4 now ♦ not my preference but as I stick to BRM rules I will have to do that ♦

Oh yeah, those withdraws. I remember how hardly they hurt my game on those first years. But from it we at least learn to play with BRM, teaches a lot important and also proves that we are able to beat the limit. Great to hear that you still stick to the correct limit which a lot players wouldn't do.

Hope to see ya building up the BR. You have potential for being good player.

with that withdraw - I had to withdraw almost my whole bankroll and was planning to have a short break from poker till I can afford to put some money to my account (was breaking my heart)...but I have made those 115 dollars yesterday shortly before I replied to your post...in William Hill Side Games 1500 weekly...4th place from around 550 people so I am glad that I have something to play with

before withdrawal I was kinda loosing my motivation so that's why I wanted to take a short break - I was following the stop-loss limits...but for 4 days straight I hit my 2 BI loss limit on NL10 so I was down 80 dollars...these days I couldn't win a single showdown and (poker players probably know this ♠_biggrin: ) I had the feeling that whole poker world is against me - always that stupid river card, which made my PF all in with AA/KK lose against some horrible starting hand...or even those situations, when u protect your hand like crazy but they chase the draw and get it (I know I know...shouldn't be results oriented and be happy that I made them draw expensive and with bad pot odds but still )...never mind. I still have to review those sessions between my poker studies (and studies of norwegian language ♦ I have to learn it ASAP in order to get some part time job till I play limits sufficient enough to make enough money to cover living expenses ♠_cool: )

Wohoo, congrats mate! Those things always happen in correct spots, where we need them the most. Now try to keep the roll and build it up as fast you can. But don't rush! Rushing is usually leading towards mistakes and too loose BRM.

not much growing this week - I have started at my new school so all these activities connected with introduction week and getting into study rhythm + proper food + gym sessions kinda didn't allow me to play a lot so I have had an unplanned break but I plan to come back to grinding as soon as possible...just sooo many articles to read for school for first sessions ♦

I would now advice to take a look at the No Limit Advanced Learning path. Which is located here: No Limit Advanced Learning Path. Although it's without any homework but it's still a path which will help you get the understanding of more advanced stuff. Although it may require higher ranks. Some may require even Gold status.

You are still welcome to use this thread for your progress and if you face any questions about your play/stats or anything you want to ask. Also don't hesitate to continue posting hands which I will be most likely evaluating.

About your exam:
One of the few analyzes actually which had really in-depth analyze in it. I did really like it. You are taking your learning path really seriously and which even should look like for every poker player who wants to become good at it. Most of the hands and even simple questions you did give a depth explanation and which was really nice to read. Of course you did some mistakes like in the math part and so on but it's not a huge problem. Math part was anyways more advanced stuff so I wouldn't really worry about that much.

In future we gonna concentrate more on your hands and try to fix some leaks which. Hopefully you gonna continue posting in the thread. We could take a look at stats and many different kind of things. Maybe even some mindset problem.

so I managed to play some hands this week - so far it is going pretty nice, managed to get over 150$ in my roll. Can't wait to hit $200, what is my goal in order to start playing NL10 again

Wow, that's great to hear! You are playing pretty aggressive BRM, so I assume you are totally switching to NL10 when reaching $200? Or half-part playing also lower stakes, cause that's at least what I would recommend doing. There is never nothing wrong to play both limits at the same time when you haven't the BR for it but want to take shots.

Well I am adjusting BRM according to players on NL10 on WH poker. If they were tougher, I would prefer to wait for 25 BI in my BR (which I will definitely use if I manage to get to transition from NL10 to NL20).

But anyway, from 200 I will take 3 BI shot at NL10 and not the full transition so I can readjust to NL10.I haven't played NL4 on WH before but it seems incredibly softer compared to NL10 and IMHO the gap is big...I don't know if there was such a gap between limits on other sites.

Yeah, I have heard that the tables are there very soft. I assume you are playing mainly normal tables? Cause lately I heard also that there are problems with NL10 SH tables, not that many of them, people switched to Speed. ♦

yeah there aren't many normal tables ♦ it is good in the evenings but when u want to play in other times you won't find that much tables. On NL4 it is okay but on NL10 there was a smaller number of tables. And for NL5 there are scarcely any tables available ♦ The exact opposite of pokerstars when it comes to NL5 vs NL4.

Though it's really tough, you can't even track your hands nor check them, which is the worst.

Congrats on boosting up your BR, I really hope that gives you even more motivation to play.

Not sure when they are going to give you the badge, I hope on Monday when they coming back to work, I don't have access to it myself. Will try to remind them.

yeah...I'm motivated like never before..currently finishing Side Games Monthly 5k freeroll...with 12 players remaining so I will see, how this will end I really feel great in MTTs this month, but I know that they can be extremely swingy so I don't want to play them as my main game...

anyway, I am really happy that I decided to switch from SNG to cashgames back in January as it gives me more in-depth view into game which I can utilize in every NLHE game type

So you doubled your BR already? That's really nice! Congrats mate, at least now you can easily play NL10 cause you are also having decent skill for that limit.

actually more than doubled...now I have around 20 BIs for NL20, so 5 more to earn on NL10 and I'm gonna give it a try I look forward to that because as there is abundance of NL10 tables, on NL20 there is enough of them and as I checked percentage of players seeing the flop, it looks still pretty loose...so I will see when I build up my BR to that level
