1,000 days to pro

After a week and a half without playing due to a holiday, it was good to get back to the tables.

Then I started playing like a retard.

I found that doing a running commentary out loud (after the wife had gone to bed, obviously) helped a bit but it wasn't pretty today. I'm trying to keep the volume in to get enough points to keep bronze status but I need to get more theoretical. I need to read more, watch more videos, post more hands and figure out where I'm going wrong.

I'm able to be a profitable player. I will stop getting in my own way.

Goodbye Poker 770, Hello..... ?

Well, I've cashed out of poker770 because it's not tracked by PS and I've got to the point where I'm running out of bronze articles. I'll probably end up on Party but I'm taking a week off from playing and will pick at the end of the week.

All about the timing...

The 1,000 days officially start on the 10th of this month. As did the 30 day consultancy period for the mass redundancies at work. We're stopping manufacturing in the UK and we're going to reduce for 105 employees to 22. My job will be going.

and my 3rd child is due in November.

But I'm feeling good. I've got skillz that I can direct into a few different areas. I'm looking for work already, My wife's business is growing rapidly.

It's an opertunity to get my ass away from the dull job that wasn't challenging. ♠_biggrin:

Oops. I've kind of neglected the blog for a while.

I've now transitioned onto Party but I've not been playing much. I've been studying. I'm reading the strategy articles, I've been playing a few freerolls and watching a lot of videos.

I also took my first step into 6max. It's much more enjoyable to play! Within half an hour, I was up two buy ins. This was also my first time playing Fast Forward. Discovering that HM2 doesn't work with it was a bit of a pain so I can't go back and analyse my play.

So, plans for the month? Study lots, play some, analyse.
