Just a quick note to say that my Skype has been behaving itself perfectly since 30 Sept and I've not had any other problems. If you've blocked me in the past to be on the safe side, it should be safe to go ahead and unblock now.

OTOH, if you like the peace and quiet now I'm no longer in your contacts, I'll forgive you if you leave me banned forever.

Spoiler

-In 30 days time FTP is set to reopen for business*
*Alright, 31. But what's a day between a tainted company and its customer's misappropriated deposits?

-I need 30K VPP by the end of the year to make Super Nova on Stars.

The countdown starts now.

So are you going to play on stars or FT? What are the pros and cons? I'm expecting FT to offer lots of nice bonuses so they can run off with our money again, and I for one won't be able to resist.

You know your customer well. Maybe you should open a poker site.

Thx viewer88, I'm hoping that ABI should increase a bit after FTP comes online which should increase the VPP rate a bit.

Hope all's well with you, my man?

edit: just played a $100 6mx as shortie on bubble. Not paying attention at the critical moment and suddenly noticed i'm HU. Marked the hand for later:

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $200(BB) Replayer
SB ($4,730)
BB ($4,820)
Hero ($2,450)

Dealt to Hero 4♥ 9♣

fold, SB raises to $4,730 (AI), BB calls $4,530

FLOP ($9,460) 7♦ 9♦ 5♦

TURN ($9,460) 7♦ 9♦ 5♦ 3♠

RIVER ($9,460) 7♦ 9♦ 5♦ 3♠ A♠

SB shows 6♦ 6♣
(Pre 70%, Flop 87.3%, Turn 88.6%)

BB shows A♣ 6♠
(Pre 30%, Flop 12.7%, Turn 11.4%)

BB wins $9,460

Yes, A6o is indeed the nuts for 24bb on the bubble. SB is a reg. BB is not. SB's play should be fine here but he ran into the live one.

One interesting thing is that according to HEM, the value SB's bad luck here is only worth $4.95 to me. At first I thought this was a mistake since my ICM equity b4 the hand is $136.30 and $246.75 afterwards.

Then ofc I realised that it's b/c SB and BB have near identical stacks. So whenever they get in with a 70:30, I benefit hugely because more often than not one player busts In this instance, there would have been a big -EV diff for me if there had been a split pot (in a situation where that was unlikely - i.e. when A6 gets in vs 66). Conversely, if they both showed up with AKs here and one hit his flush to suck out, I would then have had a big +EV diff.

Incidentally, this is a great example of why two bigstacks need to avoid confrontations on the bubble when there is a (relative) shortie around. Don't let the heat of the moment and the fear of being exploited allow you to do something you'll regret. On average, BB's call here given the hole cards loses him a whopping $118!

You mean that you expect the buy-ins on PS to become slightly higher when FTP revives? Yeah that can only help you with your goal :)
I expect some nice startup bonus on FTP aswell so its gonna be win-win for Tim :f_cool:

I'm playing low stakes speed poker on the Ipoker network for beer money at the moment.. I'll propably move back to Rush NL50 when fulltilt reopens. All is well!

It's more that if my FTP a/c balance is as I remember it, my overall 'roll will increase enough to let me play a greater percentage of $60s/$100s compared to $30s.

Well, I aim to play 35/day on 20 days, but somehow my health always makes that hard. Then there's family stuff. Now the coaching is accounting for some hours too...

I guess at the end of the day, I play enough to pay the bills and a little bit over that. Not that much incentive to play way more than I need to. :)

Fair enough, why quit a high paying job in order to gain freedom and then spend your next job chained to a computer 10 hours a day :)

Well, I have a family. 10 hours in front of a pc is not what I want out of life any more. But each to their own - what works for me won't work for everyone ;)

I was talking that even spending 10h in front of pc can be treat as "freedom" if u compare to ur past times - if u know what i mean.

IMHO, because Tim is confident to beat the opposition at 10% ROI every month. And with expected ROI of 12-15% it is sure well enough possible.

P.S. Used my non-English-man imagination to come up with that expression at the end. Please evaluate that too!
