I read through as much of your blog as I could muster, and even after a couple of days there is just way too much stuff! Not only do I think this is like a complete golden standard for SnG blogging by setting clear and realistic goals and keeping yourself accountable, but I really admire how you worked extremely hard and moved up very quickly, mastering each level and maintaining the bankroll discipline necessary for long term success. It is unbelievable how far you have come along in only 3 years, and if there is one lesson I or anybody else can take away from this blog is that good things really do happen to those who stick with it and don't give up. Wish you the success and perhaps someday I could get some coaching from you =).
Just reading the last pages of this blog because I play the last months only 9man and 6man SNG on Pokerstars and was looking for a blog from someone that build a BR from the micros too. And I found it all in this blog. Man, I’m really gonna read the whole thing when I have time. And if I have questions I’ll ask them if you don’t mind.
Ok, first one:
SnGs (especially micro-sngs for bank roll building) are ALL about volume. the more games you play the faster you move up. If you learn good ICM you don't even need post-flop skills to move up to the mid-stakes, you just have to put in a lot of games to get there fast. For this reason I suggest playing FR turbos and practicing your multi-tabling as well as your ICM. This is more important for bank-roll building than playing every post-flop hand perfectly. Post-flop will give you a big edge when you move up, but for now you just want to build your roll, so stick to FR turbos and play as many games as you comfortably can.
I play now the $3,50s 6max turbos and I know that volume is very important. I know some basics of ICM and that stuff. But you suggest here to play the FR turbos. What is the reason for this? I know that on the 6max tables is much more fishier. So volume will be more important because the fish will give you more beats as a solid player. I’m struggling now for a while if I should choose the 6 or 9mans single tables so I hope your answer will help me to make a decision.

@michel2311 , i recommend 9mans because you can multi-table them much easier and a straightforward TAG strategy is going to be more profitable at a 9man table than a 6man table. I have no idea what the micro stakes games are like in terms of difficulty these days, but i would expect that any game at the $3 level would be fishy (good players move up quickly). Keep improving your ICM and multi-tabling and you will make it out of the micros.

its looking good. i need 190k vpps . making anywhere between 8-12k / day in these games comfortably (8-10hr days). if i really pushed myself i could probably put in 25k vpp days. I should finish around the 27th.

you need to make a plan and stick to.. being lazy and procrastinating things will bring you trouble - no sne this year!!! and we don't want that!

So did you decide to go for sne from start of year or started it later on? Just asking as it seems to go quite close of "deadline".
