Stakes NL 10/ NL20 SH

Experience: I've played a little over 700k hands so far at micros ranging from NL2 to NL25.

My win rate in these hands has been 2.06 bb/100. I've had to cash out from time to time which has kept me from moving up but I would want to be winning at a higher rate and crushing these stakes before I move up.

I haven't been able to increase my win rate cause of some leaks in my game some of which I have identified and fixed so far but am currently facing problems with leaks like

Playing in 3bet pots especially from blinds
Playing in check/raised pots
Playing too nitty and not opening wide enough from late positions

Need work on other post flop skills like floating and bluffing. My non showdown winnings fall at a very high rate so I think a lot of my leaks are also in my post flop game which I may not have been able to identify yet.

I have been a winning player at all limits but haven't really been able to crush stakes above NL 10 with a decent win rate. With the volume of hands I've put in I should have been out of micros by now but I really need help fixing some leaks which is why this coaching might significantly benefit me.

I play almost 6 hours a day and can put in a lot of time into my game and would really welcome some experienced help to get me out of micros :).

I post hands in the forums all the time, i only play 4-6 tables because i want to get better at the game. I'm proud to be at Nl50 because I've put effort in to get their and it feels good when you succeed.

I never cash out, moving up is more important to me. All my efforts go into poker.

It would be great to get an insite on how a professional plays and for them to give me advice is something i would deeply value, it would be an eye-opening experience!

So a few words about me:
I am playing CASH GAME nl2 FR for mostly 6 month but i started to be more serios from 4 month.
By being seriosly means doing reviews; posting hands; participating ih the coaches; puting some volume in my games.
To do this i made a personaly schedulle by week which looks like this:

-playing 3500 hands
-to do analyze an d post them on forum
-to watch 2 videos from coachings
-to participate on coach Wensday(No-Limit [Beginner]bierbaer);Thursday(No-Limit Beginners Course-bierbaer);Sunday(No-Limit Hand Evaluation [Advanced] -BogdanPs)
-to read strategy article
-to read 50 pages from a poker book(Tomy Dangelo-now)
Even if i do all of this the results didnt appears. So i played arround 60k hands; -41.91$;BB-3.23/100;and its clear for me that i had some problems but i am not able to find them.
I must recognize sometimes i became frustrated but i try to pass it by studying; playing; analyzig with the hope some day i would beat it.
My goals from poker is to play 1-2$ in 4-5 years.
This are my reasons for a training with a coach.

First of all I would like to thank Pokerstrategy for this great oppurtunity.

My name’s Urban Bor Novak I am a student at the Faculty of Maritime Studies and Transport.

I started my poker career in early 2011.
I had no real insight to the game and struggled to find any learning materials.
I was jumping from MTTs, SNGs which I played for quite some time and finally found my place in SH cash game.

It was not easy for me as a newbie to completely understand what I have read on the strategy forums.
I continued playing and every once and a while I read some more.
After a while I approached a frien who opened my eyes to cashgame
with two video rewievs of my game and even staked me a bit from NL4 to NL20.
Unfortunately I busted on NL20 after having a positive EV and -15 buyins downswing.
It crushed me. I got busy with the university.
I got back up and played the game every day for few months till now. Poker became my lifestyle and obsession, I am not a gambler!
It helped me to pay for my education and not ask my parents to support me.
Just recently I started my new project at NL10 SH cashgame, wrote a 1 year plan from NL10 to NL100, which yo ucan find here . ♠_grin:

I am applying for the Christmas Coaching 2012 for the NL10-20 SH cashgame for few simple reasons.
I would like someone to help me in various postflop situations, handreads, discuss +EV spots, more or less explain me their way of thinking.
I know this will help me to achive my goals for the following year and would be really gratefull for your help.

Mostly I would like a coaching on how to improve my game, not to get few "tricks".

My name is Robert, I`m a 23 years old fresh university graduate who lives in Romania. I started playing poker like 2 years ago i think, but i had a huge 4 month break during the time i spent in the US(played a bit of live poker there witch i absolutely enjoyed).

I`m playing exclusively NL cash games 6max, overall I have played between 300.000-400.000 hands, i started with the pokerstartegy capital of 50$ at nl2 tables moved up to nl10 since then i made a lot of cash outs and i think that's the main reason i did not go further up in limits. A few weeks ago, i told my self that's enough of that rubbish and i won't withdraw anything until i move up and establish my self at a higher limit.

At the moment I`m playing at Unibet, both regular and anonymous tables trying to work my bankroll to the higher limit, i could say right now I`m like 25BI`s short to do that. My standard schedule is play like 25-30k hands/month, read one poker book/month, review every played session and post between 2-4 hands if needed. I`m also doing like 5 quiz test/week from pokerstrategy, I`m done with the articles... the tests help me pick witch articles i should review, or read again.

With all that said, I`m very eager to get a coach`s help, even if it is for a very limited time I`m absolutely sure he can show me the puzzle pieces that i`m missing and with his help my performance would skyrocket. I really want badly to improve my game and i would absolutely love to coach poker sometime in the future, but i know i will have to fix my own mistakes before i could help others fix theirs.

I'd really like to get some coaching and I hope I can convince you with my application!

I'm a very active member of PokerStrategy and post a lot of hands on the ENG handjudge forums (and also on the Dutch forum). I think this already shows that I'm willing to work on my game and always trying to learn more or improve in all areas of poker. I'm playing about 1.5 year now and since january I played for myself (I was staked till then).

I started by playing NL10 FR on 888poker and I improved quickly by heavily working on my game. At one point me and my staker stopped the staking and I started grinding on NL25FR PokerStars. After a downswing and a period of no volume I decided to play SH. I crushed NL10SH and when I moved up to NL25SH I got some coaching from Veriz. I kept improving and now I'm ready for NL50SH. This is my NL25SH graph:

Now, it's time for NL50 and I also want to be a good winner on that limit. I've taking a few shots on this limit already but pretty much failed and lost 10BI's. This is mainly about spew and thanks to mental game problems I guess. I think though that there are a lot more regulars on NL50 than on NL25, I've noticed that it's much tougher to win on NL50. That's why I'd like to get some coaching, to help me get settled at NL50 ShortHanded.

My ultimate goal in poker is to be a good winning reg at NL100SH+. I hope you can help me with accomplishing this! So I hope this ain't tl;dr ♦

Hi, I'm a breakeven/slight winning player.
I play:
NL10-NL20
SH and FR but mostly SH.

I feel I understand the game but something is missing and I'm spewing money on unnecessary bluffs and calls. In the beginning I played fixed limit but now I don't even want to look at it.
A year and a half ago I started to play NL2 FR, climbed to NL25 FR and 5 months ago I started to play NL 10-20 SH.

I have won about 5000$ with rakeback in a year and a half starting from NL2. I have never tried to play in NL50 because I can't beat Nl20 with a 4-6BB/100hands winning rate. At the moment I am playing at ongame with 50% rakeback but I play just 15k hands/month, I will try to play at least 40k hands/month. I'm eager to become a NL50-NL100 winning player. I am motivated and I try to balance my game in poker and I also try to balance my life, too.

I have never had a coach and I would like more coaching in the future if it really helps my game and helps me to find my game leaks.

But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career of 6max. Skills that can be improved by people like you. I used to multitable lowstakes 10man and 30 man SnGs at Ongame but I have recently switched to Ipoker and play tracked through Poker Strategy.

I currently play NL5 and NL10 6MAX Speed Poker (Zoom) at Ipoker profitably. I am also very active in the forums, posting hands for evaluation and trying to help other members whenever I feel I can positively contribute.

Why I play:

I started playing out of coinsidence in a house game of a friend and fellow poker strategist for fun.

None of us knew what we were doing but I really enjoyed my first cash game. After that I did a research and bought the harrington books. Started reading and making notes. I loved the concept and the idea of poker!

I still enjoy the game and I always have that feeling of self satisfaction when I play. I am also a very competitive person and want to be the best in whatever I do. Second place is never good enough in whatever sport or whatever competition.

Poker always keeps me on my toes as there is always somebody better. But I will always try to get better myself and trying to reach my goals!

My goals:

Play at least 30k hands in the second half of december.

Be profitable at a solid winrate before I move to the next level.

Enjoy what I am doing and enjoy poker no matter what.

Buy a laptop specifically for poker in the summer

Hello future coach

My name is Alex and I'm currently shooting nl50 6max games on pokerstars.
I'm very passionate about poker and I've been going through micros for way too long. I would say I have good fundamentals and this coaching would be a perfect opportunity for me to bring my game to a new level as nl50 is the first step out of the micros and a limit where things become much more complex.

I could use some insight from a great player which would lead to some AHA moments and fix some leaks I am still unaware of.
I am a good candidate because I am certainly not going to be a waste of time for the coach, nor am I going to quit this beautiful game any time soon, so I guarantee the coaching would be put to good use at the tables. I've climbed my way up the micro limits and have a goal of being able to crush small stakes or higher and make a living playing poker i.e. live the dream

I have a lot of questions for my future coach and will definitely be prepared if I get chosen.
With that said, I'm going to use my pokerstrategy ONE TIME!
