Hey,
I'm 25 M and I started with 50$ PS 3years ago, used to grind NL FR10&25 switched to SH25 and I'm about to move to NL50 for good but I'll need some help, we can discuss various topics from game theory to me[n]tal problems. Reason I never moved to NL50 for good is that I'm living from poker so I always had to cashout, give loans to family etc but now I have the roll. I speak english and hungarian pretty good + average romanian. Beside normal cash tables I also played Rush/Zoom for at least a year (FTP mostly, a few months zoom), about 3-5k sngs, and maybe 500-1000 mtts cant say exactly, never tracked those. And about maybe 100-200k hands PLO which I like alot but its too tilting for me, only play them nowadays when drunk or superbored I also played NL/PLO HU for about 2-3weeks.

I'm up for cash/mtt/sng (in this order) coaching, whatever comes I happily accept it, always willing to learn something new.
Thanks for reading!

Hi, my name is Boby from Serbia. I'm 24 years old. Started 2 years ago with 50$ at Party. Now I play at 888 9 man SNG 3 and 5.5$, and after 2k SNGs a have ROI 14%. I want to improve my game and move on to higher limits. I need coaching for 9man SNG.

Hello,

I'm opting for a free coaching. At first, when I started playing poker, I started with SNGs. I lost my capital, that I had for that time, though. I take a break from grinding poker, although I played some SNGs now and then.

Then, after some time I decided to play poker again. This time, I got starting capital from pokerstrategy, and this time, I managed to build my roll, to play NL10. I was winning at NL10 - not crushing, though. Managed to pay for my driving license from my poker winnings (I'm really proud of myself because of that) and cashed out more than 200$.

Recently, after this "tilt less" promotion at Party Poker, I realised that it's a good oportunity to double my roll. So I cashed out my roll from PS to PP, and decided to clear bonus, which was new to me - besides FDB at PS, I never really had any bonuses to clear.

But after playing for a while I lost my love for NL SH. Not for poker though - I still love it. So I decided to try something different, and as I had some experience with SNGs before, I decided to try it again.

I decided to play 1$ turbos at PP, although I have, like, 300BI. So far, it's not going very well. I'm down about 30BI, after 83 tourneys. I'm try to play tight at first, and then use push/fold ranges, specified by ICM trainer. My overall stats so far is: 15.2/13.7/3bet 3/WTSD 65/WSD 50/AF 3.8.

Not sure if it's varience, though it looks for me that it is - but it always looks like it's someone else fault, but not yours, lol. HM2 shows I'm running way below EV, though.

I would really like to be chosen. I always dreamed about being coached by someone who knew what they there doing. I actually were thinking about, after, I clear the bonus, to use it to buy coaching for my NL SH game (back when I still played it) to plug my leaks. And it would make me more than happy to get it for free.

It would be so frikin awesome to have a mentor, which were where I am now, and know what I'm going through. It's always much easier to improve my game when you have someone to watch you from aside, and help you. My motivation, although, it's currently is much higher, since I started to play SNGs - it would skyrocket now.

Thanks for hearing me :)

Hello everyone,
first of all I want to than You for such a great idea of coaching, as no matter how much content we are watching, one on one is the best anyways.

When thinking how to present myself so I get picked for a coaching I found it very difficult. Why is that? Well, I have full time high-tehc job and a family, so poker does not take as much time as I would like it. So this ends up, where quality really is important is my game, as I can not put that much volume as grinders is this community. Why did I start writing this post? Well, I've been playing sng's for quite a while now. After busting PS free 50$ I found myself with a free 7.70$ at poker770 and managed to build it up to 800$ and stated to play at 11$ with strict BRM and constant looking at my game (and some bonus money :)). Unfortunately, the happy bit did not last long, and the goal of 1K$ have to be delayed after 70BI swing the wrong way.

With half of roll gone, I had to reduce limits to 5.5$ and volume even more. Watch a few vids, especially those of Collins, but still cannot get back to the winning track. Looking at my stats I noticed that there is some worrying numbers at my mid-game levels, as I am not winning that much BB's as I would like. But to find what is wrong proved to be quite difficult by myself, and an outside look would be really welcome.

I hope this x-mas will become a turning back point to the happy track.

Hey
I used to play $20 - $50 sngs last summer

but i had to take a break from poker to study for uni for 3months

Now I want coaching to see what level I am at considering I forgot a lot of things and I will not be at the level I was before

Another big reason why I would like this coaching is because I got to the level of beating lowstakes without any coaching and it's possible that I could have some bad leaks that no one ever pointed out and I kept making

I feel like it's time to start getting coaching in order to beat mid/high stakes

Hi, I was playing the 13$ 6max turbo sng's on Stars and Full Tilt, switched to 10$ Rush MTT's and then FTP collapsed.

Now I'm looking to get myself up and running from a 100$ bankroll with Rush MTT's in the new FTP and/or 6max in order to slowly give it another try for the 20$-30$ stakes where i got crushed every time I tried. :f_biggrin:

hey all,
i´ve been playing for far too long now. partly sngs, part cash. (generally losing all money at cash that i made at sngs.)
now i´m looking to stick with sngs.
i play all types but would like to focus on either 9max or 6man turbos(and maybe hypers) currently playing $3.5 and $7.
i have weeks where im winning (both money and ev wise) but then i go week with losing massively in both again. so more than likely the winning is just positive variance.
the way im playing constantly seems to change so i´d like a bit of consistency as well as guidance to make it profitable.
regards
qnb

Hi generous PS team,

This looks like an offer not to be missed =), coaching these days are quite expensive although beneficial opportunity, however my bankroll says no.

PS already shoved me the way of understanding poker in a more profesional way in general. Which lead to seach for more /book, videos, articles/. Unfortunately my pokerstars account isnt tracked... so the sources ale limited to forum posts mainly.

WHY PICK ME?

Poker is my life =) im playing full time, paying my bill from profit, one might say im a professional poker player =) .... who still didnt make a fortune =)

my format is 180man 3.5rb & 8 on stars /nick is t4daaa/ + some turbo tournament included in each session.

This would push me forward a lot since there are a lot of leak in my play / that im aware of /, spots im not rly confident in...

Whats in for PS? Well ill get my blog on CZ/SK forum going + start a new one on the english community =)

Thnanks,
Peter

Hello and congrats for your site.

I am ToniaTz from Greece and playing poker for 4 years. Until before 2-3 months I was playing for entertainment without caring to increase my BR but in the meantime I was interested to learn in depth the poker variants of the game.
The last 2-3 months, I decided to deploy my poker strategy for being a better and more winning player to increase my br to be able to hit higher stakes.
I am at my first steps of development a serious poker game and currently I am playing SNGs of 1$. I know the 2-3 months is not a satisfactory period to say although my ROI up to now is around 25% for this type of tournaments (on demand sng of around 250/300 players).

I am interesting to deploy my poker skills to this area.

Thanks and Regards,
ToniaTz.

Hello guys, what a wonderfull idea!

My name is Philip, 20 and live in Vienna. I am studying mathematics at the vienna university of Technology. Playing Chess, making websites and trying to figure out how to play poker are my main hobbies at the moment ;). I speak fluently german, english and bulgarian. I am kinda new to poker (i joined this website 1 month ago, and i have already told all my friends about how powerfull it is!).

At the moment i have mixxed my Poker play, as follows:

Aggressive like a Bulgarian as i am!
Mannered as a English,
and determined as a German :P
and fun to be with.

I am playing atm. at 888poker, where i yesterday lost really bad 20$ (i had my bankroll at 50$ from the starting 8$). I am doing ok in cash games. Still, doing better at mtt + sngs. Mtts i have played a few and have managed to get to the top 20 often as well (but i somehow fail to win it). I did many normal Sit n GOs (mostly with webcams, cuz i felt i could better read the opponents), then changed to DoubleorNothing, where i managed to win a lot very easy (1,2,5$ buy ins.). Still i feel, i have a lot to learn.

I would have no problem to make an account + deposit on an other poker site, if asked.

I hope someone choses me, i promise that we will have a nice time :)

Thanks for your kind offer and time spent on reading this.

Happy ChristmasTime all!

Hi all; my name is Matthew, and I'm from Saskatchewan, Canada. I remember joining Pokerstrategy several years ago with a weak understanding of BRM.

Through all the input I have received from pokerstrategy, I have greatly improved in the mental and physical aspects of poker; however, I still have a lot of work to do. My strategy in years past consisted of depositing 50$ on a site (that I can afford to lose, that is my #1 rule in poker), and using reasonably sound BRM grind that bankroll up to 100$. I would then withdraw 50$ and start grinding from a 50$ roll again. My logic behind this is that I have now made back my original investment, and no matter what happens I will not lose money in this venture. This seems to take some pressure off of me and I generally seem to play better. Using this approach, I have profited around 1500-2000$ from my hobby over the years.

I have started grinding lower limit hyper turbos at PokerStars. While 2 or 3 tabling 9-max $1.50 hyper turbos and taking notes and color coding players based on ability, I feel like I am a reasonably winning player; my bankroll has gone from 50$ to 100$ in just over 2 weeks and 400 tournaments. However, this profit rate relies a lot on reads on other players as well as table selection (avoiding reg filled tables). Ideally I would like to play a large volume of these tournaments at once, but I feel that there are still some minor leaks in my game that would stop me from being reasonably profitable while multitabling at such a rate.

I am a trained statistician; I am currently doing my PhD in statistics, so I have a strong grasp of probability and EV. I feel strongly that if I were to receive expert coaching, that I would be able to use that information to be able to be a very strong hyper turbo player. I would be incredibly grateful to have even a brief opportunity to be coached.

My name is Kyle Hollett and I live in Newfoundland, Canada. I am an aspiring SNG poker player.

My Gaming Backround:

I am an RTS player. I have dedicated an immense amount of time in Starcraft 1 and 2.
While playing Starcraft 1 I reached A- on the ICCUP server under the name thisistatinfor. I was aka AngeL[LighT]

I played Starcraft 2 semi professionally/professionally for approximately 1 year. I have reached as high as #1 GM North America and top 20 overall masters on the Korean server.
I have a lot of experience in tournaments and have won numerous.

Why am I bringing up SC2?

Starcraft and poker have been hand in hand for a long time, with pros like Elky showing that the game is quite similar and the transition from SC2 to poker is is welcoming.

I have switched from full time SC2 to full time SNG grinding poker.

Time for poker talk

I started on 888 poker and grinded my first 8.88$ into approx 500$ in 1000 games. From there I moved to Titan poker, where I have played 7000 games in the past 4-5 months.
Looking back I wish I played much more, so with that in mind I want to increase the volume going towards the future, starting after the Holidays.

I currently play 2$ SNGs ranging from Normal-Turbo-SuperTurbo, refusing to move up until I have at least 1000+ BI.

6 max SNGs is the majority of volume I get in. I also play full ring SNGs.
I have played MTT with success but it's not what I have been practicing. I will be playing more MTT in the future after I feel my 6max/full ring games are very strong.

Here are strengths and weaknesses in my play

Strengths:

I am able to multitable 30+ tables

My push/fold is becoming very solid.

I can read players on the fly with decent accuracy. ( when I'm above 20 tables this becomes very hard, I rely more on statistics rather than observation. )

I stick to BRM. I have refused to go up until I have at least 1000 BI.

Weaknesses:

I have trouble maintaining a decent ROI playing so many tables at a time.

My post flop play needs work.

I don't post hands and discuss strategy, though I still lurk the news/forums :P

I sometimes get overwhelmed by variance. When I have a bad day it sometimes gets to mentally.

Why should I be chosen?

If you want someone with high work ethic and determination, someone who will be putting an incredible amount of time in the coming months, someone that brings all the knowledge I gain from coaching to the tables in massive volumes, than I'm your man.

I'm planning on becoming a very profitable/skilled player. With your help I can increase the rate at which I improve drastically.

Thanks for your time.

I'll probably edit this later when I have more time.

Hi everyone thanks for reading my application:

I am currently mostly playing the 180 man tournaments on Stars and would like to move into more MTT's at higher stakes as my success in these has given me a bankroll to do so.

This years graph from PokerStars, have made a decent amount elsewhere on OnGame sites but seems the results didn't transfer well to HEM2 so I don't want to give something i'm not 100% confident on.

A brief background for those bored enough to still be reading:

My name is Andrew and I live and work full time in the UK.
I started playing poker in 2004 when I was doing my degree in Mathematics, never did anything seriously just went to their live games as a fish and handed people money, wish now id gotten into online poker in its glory days  Came back to it in 2011 when I spotted the free $50, built it up through mostly SNG over multiple iPoker and OnGame skins until I moved to Stars to play more MTT's
When im not working or playing poker im usually gaming or with friends (often putting these together thanks to the various LAN parties in the UK). Current favourites are DayZ, Diablo3, Civ5, Dota2 and always the fallback of Supreme Commander despite its age.
