Time for some update...
This week i have full time job again, so much less poker... And this could be the reason why i started to run bad in 3$`s as i play my sessions after work when im excausted. Sadly thats the only time i have for poker, so not much options here. Or mby its just variance breaking my balls here, who knows. Havent lost my conidence though, i still feel like i fit in more playing 3$ hyper than 1$`s, had a pretty nasty swing in the middle too... Win all the small pots and lost the important ones. Lost like 8 flips in a row on the bubble. Had a session of -60$ which mostly end my shot for 3$`s.
As i hit my stop loss mark i set for my self on 50BI, i move back to 1$ hypers ONLY for now... But this was a great experience and have learn tons of little things and found some leaks i have to work on.
1)the same old one i have - i am too tight on SB on the bubble, on 3$`s i can clearly see the effect it brings on my stack size, i blind out too fast with good oponents.
2)stop small pocket pair overplay as midstack vs mid/bigstack, as i feel like i can find better spots than getting my stack in for a flip.
3)stop Ax overplay as bigstack early stages by calling shoves, as i almost never find a flip situation against small stacks. I mostly end up vs middle pair or better ace and burn my stack were i shouldnt.
2 more questions i got for my self, as i dont expect some one to explain this for me or give any guidence:
1)should i shove over a raise preflop with middle pocket pairs (55-88) in early stages with 15-20bb left to steal the pot which is usually 4-5bb?
2)and how strong is AQ vs players i have no stats / reads on. Should i shove over a raise preflop early stages with 15-20bb? and should i call a shove?
Any way, overall graph for 3$ hyper 6max
Another thing i have add to my short term goals is to get SNG Wizard as i understand its the best tool for learning push or fold which is like 80% of the whole hyper format. Will activate a trial version as soon as i will have enough time to play some serious ammount of tournaments, so i dont loose any of thouse free trial days. Sadly i am really short of cash so i probably will have to grow my BR to ~220$+ and spend 100$ for SNG Wizard purchase.
Ouh well, a month or two more with same BR and playing lowest limit will just grow my mindset and self control. If i will be able to become tilt immune to bad beats from idiots in 1$ hypers, i will be able to stand thouse huge swings better which i will face later when moving up the limits ![]()
Thats all for now.
BR = 150$
Just a small update to pin down my tought here in blog for self analysis.
After i moved down from 3$ hypers to 1$ as my BR went down to 150$, i have played some tournaments and i have to say im a bit shocked. Ok, there is some LUCK factor in this, BUT i have been running like a TANK over 1$ 6max. I feel like i have learned SO much in thouse ~250 games i playd on limit above...
Lets hope for the best, that i really have become better and its not just a placebo effect of running good at the moment...
Hey there...
Wana post some small update as a note for my confidence growing about 1$ 6max hypers, incase i will get a massive downswing soon, so i have somthing that reminds me im doing great ![]()
So, after my shot for 3$ hypers and moving back down with 150$ BR, my game in 1$ hypers have been great. I feel many spots better as i used to, i have more sense about hands strenghts in different situations and i realize the strenght of pushing from SB.
Even the red line is starting to be more friendly with me

Have been playing some freerolls too, as party poker have some nice ones atm. (2k gtd advente, 1,5k new player and 5k BR booster)
Cashing about 40% of the time i play them. Went couple of times pretty deep but sadly 2 of thouse times i had some nasty beats and droped out short before final table and cople times played too agressive and went from one of the chipleads to some small cash in first houndred places or so...
Some nice free money here too ![]()
Overall im doing great, planning to take my second shot at 3$ hypers when i hit 300$ BR and moving down at 225$ if i get unlucky.
BR = 240$
Nice going buddy! Good to hear your confidence grows with time passing! Keep it up!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Activated SnG wizard 30 day trial today as holidays started, hopefully i will have more time to put some value in and work more on my game. Will see how it goes. Ill try to invest at least 30min of my time to review the session after. I gave a quick look into it already and im sarted to get mixed tought...
So, i have 3 more questions that needs an answer:
1) How importaint is it to strictly follow sng wiz suggestions to push or fold? Just that im used to play little bit more tight against stacks which are right left if we both are bigstacks. Sng wiz suggest i still should push unsuited middle connectors from SB 4/5 handed being bigstack vs bigstack. (i guess it will get more clear to me when i put more time in checking out more situations like these)
2) I noticed that sng wiz gives different push or fold sugesstions for low stack situations as NASH suggests. I know there have been similar topics here, but atm i cant find any and if some one could link me, would be pretty nice. I would like to understand the difference here which source should i trust in which situations.
3) From time to time i do some missclick for fold / call which mostly costs me the tournament,So i wonder how important is it to play with shortcuts? I have seen pro grinders doing that and the option in poker client, but i havent tried it yet. So, if it will be a MUST thing laiter when adding more tables, then i think i should start learning it already.
I hope that some one will invest his priecless 30seconds to give me at least some short answer or advice to any of these 3 questions

Hello!
2 weeks have passed since is moved down from 3s to 1s and rebuild my BR after my first atempt of moving up. As i have met the conditions i set for my self for next shot (300$+ BR / 100BI) and my 1s graph seems to be steady enough, i will try to climb again.
BR = 301+50(from this sites referal program) = 351$
So, the graph for my last two weeks of 1$ hyper 6max.

I feel like im still improving a lot in a short period of time. I figured out some of the leaks i had by my self, trying to fix them. Unfortunately its not always that easy. I still tend to play too tight on the SB on bubble and make too tight laydowns as one of the two short stacks on the bubble. Just because i feel like "he have to push next round and i can tank this through and slide into the money" which usually ends up with him doubling up and me in crapy position that i must push crap hands afterwards. Still little psychological barrier here, but im working on that.
I feel like im starting to get more sense about Ax hands in different positions, just a short while ago i cought my self overplaying these type of hands a lot. Still, its pretty hard to adapt in these spots in 3-5 player 10-6bb stituations, at least for me.
The other awesome thing is i activated Sng wizard trial and its awesome. Yes im slacking a lot with session rewieving, but at least doing some work is better than no work at all. Found some leaks which im making regularly and im trying to fix them.
Ok, now some things im cant figure out my self- today i had two hands i dont understand why HM2 shows as -EV, i hope some one could explain.

i updated villain hole cards, but i dont think it matters here... i think in both situations i should push every time. do i?
First hand raise/call or openjam and ev should go up so its hem fault.
Second hand I have no clue, too many players ♦ but when he calls you with AK your ev going down in this hand.
great, another 6max player blog
I've started grinding them myself, though I'm not doing so great.
I've been breaking even for few days, and last session was quite horrible with -7BIs.
I seem to worry about my EV also, which is negative over the course of about 160games.
Obviously I do make mistakes in the tables, I am trying to mark the hands I'm not sure whether it's a clear push/call/fold and making myself to review it later through SnG Wiz.
However, reading some reviews I understand SnG wiz is not reliable very much ?
- want catch up in skype maybe sweat some time ?
hey!
as hypers are huge variance, you need like 1k sample to get at least some idea if you are winning or not, so i would suggest not to worrie over smaller samples.
about sng wiz, i see this like stats for cash games. u get the basic idea how to play in different spots but u have to adapt your ranges to your oponents. sng wiz will tell you to push 100% from SB on the bubble if you are short stacks and ~7bb left. But in my opinion it really depends on how active are your oponents- if they limps each other blinds and play like check, check, check, bet, fold, then yes, u have no other options to push every crap hand. But in lower limits (have played up to 3$ so far) ppl tend to go for the win very often. So why would u risk too much and push 100%?! If bigstacks play agressive against each other, i just tighten up my range and push like all pairs, any ace , two facecards and SC, mby one gappers. Thats only like ~70% range, so its a huge difference. And other can agree with me or not how smart is play like this, but i see that i make lots of money in spots like these. At least for now.
the other spot which i think is worth exploiting is the opposite- if you are one of the two bigstacks on the bubble and other bigstack doesnt punish your limps, then why da fuck would you push semibluff range against a bigstack as sng wiz will suggest!? u can just limp every non premium/pair hand and play check, check, check, bet, fold who ever hits the board untill shortstack is out. why would you risk not getting into the money if 50% of the time your oponents are dumb and doesnt shove your limps?! ofc good player will exploit it and you will not be able to play like this, but thats the thing which makes us the poker players, to see the opportunity and exploit it to get a profit ![]()
about catching up, yes, i would love to. im not used to do sweat sessions with other ppl, but i guess i have to start doing that if i want to improve faster
OK, little updates before i go to the NY party ![]()
My second shot to 3s is going as good as i could ever ask for. On a super upswing at the moment. Feel super confident and love playing poker more than ever (because of the heater and success ofc ♦ ). On the other hand my EV line is nice too, steady going up.
The best way to end this year and super confidence boost going into the next year ![]()

Wish you all super lucky and productive 2013 year, dont slack, work on your game and fingers crossed waiting for success! ♠_grin:
Nice 1!!
Wish you good poker next year as well.. ![]()
No party for me, have to work tomorrow!

tnx rupuci, best wishes to you too
So, have done some changes poker wise- i figured i will have to move to stars sooner or later, so i just did it now... Tested the field yesterday and it seems that i have what it takes to be able to compete at 3,5s already. Nice to see there IS couple of fishes after all. Now i just need to put in some volume to get the sense in thouse little spots which are bit different here than in party poker. And ofc need tons of marking and note making which is enoying.
Some goals: starting capital 200$, will try to clear FDB in 3 chunks, hopefully i will be able to put in enough volume to clear third one, the first and second i think i will manage. Will be playing 3,5s for now, if i will drop below 150$ with negative EV, will move down to 1,5s. If i will drop below 150$ with positive EV, will keep going and my stop loss for moving down will be 100$ mark. For now, i have no ambitions to move up, will try to beat 3,5s for nice ROI then crush putting in more tables, hopefully will manage to play 9-12 at once. For now im playing 3-4 tables to get to know the field and my oponents.
Small update!
So, have done first ~200 games on stars, overall im pretty satisfied. As i have to play basicly without hud because of lack of database, i think im doing pretty ok. Have been little unlucky on the bubble, i seem to run into premiums more than i should and getting knocked out by dominated hands also more than i would like... Meeeh, what can u do, its poker. At least im still in the green and my EV line is nice too ![]()
I notice that there are waaaaay more regs than on party poker. But i cant say i dont like it. It feels more comfy to play with 1-2 regs on the table, at least game flow is more predictable. As long as i have no stats on the field i better play with regs, at least i have some sense of their ranges, as strange as it sounds. ♦
Any way, my graph so far:

Hey, welcome to Stars hypers ![]()
Good thing you're only 4 tabling. I know some regs who jumped right to 15+ tabling $3.5s, never improved and stayed there forever. ♦ The games run fast and imo there's no need to have more than 8 tables open while improving.
Gonna follow this from now, GL
tnx man ![]()
and i know what u mean about thouse massive multitable regs, i have seen some already. they make too many plays as standart NASH which might be little +EV in long run, but they would get much better winrate if they would play less tables and pay some atention to the tables and feel some dynamics and be aware whats happening. on the other hand, mby thats just how they want to play, break even and get their proffit from rakeback.
i will definitely not play more than 6 tables for now and mby 8 tables after a while. I like to play people too and some poker, not just standart math decisions.
