Im mixing in 4 tables of PLO100 zoom as well now during sessions cause it is hard to get a lot of action during the day so. Field seems to be very tight, thus weak and exploitable. Ofc if my actions gets bored ill cut down on zoom but its a good thing to get some extra vpp while action on normal tables is bad.

It is probably a little bit lower but I'm still playing like 6 tables or so on the side. For the past week I have been averaging around 600 per hour which makes SNE suddenly a lot more doable. Ill give you guys an update halfway the month or so :).
Anyways I am leaving today for Manila. Yesterday we had our goodbye party here since I have been here for over 2 years now :). Next year Ill be spending my time in Manila cause Im missing the gf too much :). Internet should be a lot better as well there :f_biggrin:, so definitely a life+EV move :f_cool:.

Since im unknown to him this is a pretty good spot for a bluff c/r on river I think. He never has a good hand. Im aware that he knows that but usually he should bet/fold here against an unknown cause they will look him up light in this situation. So bet/folden Tx-overpairs) here is the way to go, I also have some FH blockers which are just a little relevant. It becomes a bet/call tho with moderate dynamics. Bad board run-out, but I still like my line.

If the fish sits with 40bb it makes no sense to buy in for more. Only if you believe that you have an edge against the regulars after rake (which a lot of people overestimate of themselves). I always buy in full at PLO200 and mostly on 400 too but higher than that i dont think ill beat the regulars AFTER RAKE (because they will almost always be on the left of me since i table select well, fish will be on my right). So i just buy in for the amount the fish has in order to maximize the value i can get from him and minimize my losses against regulars. this is a very basic concept in poker but something you only really start seeing at 400+, but it should be applied to all level imo. Given that you can play well with a midstack.
For example you are a NL50 regular and you see a juicy NL100 or even NL200 table with a jesus seat on the fish. Just make the shot, but buy in for his amount, no need to risk more money that what the target has.

The month ended. It started off really good. I grinded a ton, but halfway I was getting some serious stomach problems, so decided to take some time off poker. Went to the hospital and taking antibiotics now. This, together with my housemates who had to leave asap due to some business issues, gave me some reason to think about the future.
I have always had the plan of playing poker and then going into business with the money afterwards. Poker never really was a 'goal' in my life. I tried to go for SNE but with some recent health issues I have been getting (which almost never happened), an article I read from Leatherass (how multi-tabling is bad for your brain), and just an in general unbalanced lifestyle made me stop pursuing this. I really had to play 6 hours a day on average in order for it to work. I don't want to increase the amount of tables since that will lead to worse decisions etc. Your whole day just revolves around poker and it is not good. Like TT always said: balance is superimportant. I strongly believe so too.
That is why I will play a whole lot less poker in the coming weeks. The only thing that makes me want to play is the money and that is never a good thing but of course, it is hard to ignore that if your winrate is well over $100 an hour. There are just a lot of things you can do and buy with it. Things that after all give you the freedom to do what you want to do in life. Even though I might not enjoy poker as much as I did before. The benefits it gives me, are tremendous. My goal always was to make enough money with poker to never worry about financial things again in my life, which can be obtained quite quickly if you invest your money wisely. A million dollars is more than enough to not worry about your financial situation, given that you can invest it at a 10% annual rate. The thing is, I am obviously not even close that :f_biggrin:.
But if you truly enjoy doing what you do and make money with it. There is no need to have this big financial buffer to live your life.
Lately I have been reading lots of things concerning the subject of green consulting. I have always wanted to do something in this direction since I was 8 years old, but never really knew where to start. As a matter of fact, I still don't know it. But I do know that it is something i want to get involved in as soon as possible. At the moment I am reading books and forums etc. to provide me with ideas on how to get started. The hardest thing is to make it into a profitable business. Don't get me wrong. I don't want to get filthy rich in the process but it is however important to grow, so the impact you have will get bigger and bigger.
