I had really great time, made some new poker friends but I can't say I am totally satisfied because 3 guys that were on the final table and won money I literaly owned in the game. The guy who finished 3rd asked me for my contact info and wrote me yesterday asking for some sweat sessions and addressing me with hey Pedja poker legend... ♦ It tells you how much I missed a chance to own it
By the way , the guy who woke up bvb with AJ against my A8 won the turney in the end!!!

Long time no update from me... There have been a lot of new developments, I will try to tell you about everything that has happened in the meanwhile...
SNG 6 max turbos
I have played on WPT since end of October until 11th of January 11$ buy in turbos. I had a sick downswing of about 300 buy ins Not pleasant experience but it definitely made me work like a fanatic to improve my game and prepare for more. I played about 120+ games every day.
Coaching/Staking
Since 1st of December I have started coaching with my coach (colleague now) players that wanted to take the same road as I did which is starting from total beginning , 1.5$ 9 max on stars and moving up levels.
We started with only 1 student, now 2 months later we have 14 active students in our program Within this time we have 1 player that is playing 5.5 euro 6 max, 2 students play 6 max hypers 2.5 euro and 1 student plays 2.5 euro turbo. In the following 2 weeks , 2 more guys will join them on those limits while some will be moving up limits (from 5.5 to 11, from 2.5 to 5.5 etc).
So things are going really great with teaching and letting other people on a secret how to make a living from SNGs
6 max hypers
Since 11th of January I had discussion with coach and we both decided that I can play 6 max hypers. What I love about hypers is the fact that I can rake more, play more, they are more ICM and ranges concerned (less post flop more ICM) and finally within same time I can reach my TRUE ROI faster (because of more games).
Its been one month playing hypers, I am mixing 2 networks and I am profitable on 11$ and 11 euro buy in post rake back. On WPT I have currently -2% roi pre rb with sick setups and downswings (after 5k GAMES!) running under EV obviously Microgaming I have about 1300 games and roi that is above 3% pre rb... So things are going great, I know I can do a lot better and I am working hard these days to crush these limits.
What keeps me going to play those hypers and poker overall?
- They are fast, fun, load fast and I can rake like crazy
- I reach my true roi sooner
- I perfect my ICM and ranges
- Playing 11s hypers I can rake way more for same time then if I would play 11s turbos
- I can load more tables then on turbos (they are running more everywhere - more volume, more rake)
Finally I did calculations for brake even which I will post here for you regarding roi + rb for hypers on this limit. This keeps me going so when I finish my coaching/stake deal on 14th of July, I will have a healthy bankroll to play those limits on my own!
Before I post calculations let me say that I believe and know that I am profitable already on 11s on both networks with at least 1-2% roi pre rb.
WPT
11$ game has 0.75$ rake
On average I play (at least) 150 games a day there (I have 5025 games in one month exactly!) x 0.75 x 30 = 3375$ raked
I have random bonus promotions and site races + 3k bonus that I will clear soon (before that I was clearing huge FDB until recently) so overall from Palladium and other site things I get about 50% rb
So brake even here on this limit would bring from WPT 1687.5$
With positive ROI there would be way more money of course but consider that 150 games is between 4-5 hours a day grind (I have 2 monitors and now play 18 tables on WPT) so ez game overall
Microgaming
11 euro game has 1 euro rake
On average I will play at least 70 games a day x 30 days x 1 euro = 2100 euro
I will disregard the fact that I have winning ROI there on over 1300 games and do calculation with brake even.
VIP system is 30% rakeback + 20% for FDB = 50% rakeback
If I place well on affiliate race I can get some extra % here or there, but lets disregard that even and calculate on 50% rakeback (like on party!)
Brake even on Microgaming is 1050 euro which is 1403$
I get 70 games a day easy playing up to 8 tables from 2pm to 4pm there...
When we combine WPT + Microgaming we get 1697.5$+ 1403$ = 3100.5$
Not bad for somebody who started doing this from scratch in July 2012 from 1.5$ 9 max on stars...
My goals for future are following :
- Increase my ROI on 11s and move onto 22s!
- Start creating series of videos and materials for students in our program
- Build a good enough roll by the end of stake to play on my own
- Improve my game so that I am super confident that I can expect on average every month 3k$ from July on...
- Work with all the students to bring them by the end of the program to make this kind of money also!
- My monetary goal is to go from 3k to 5k-6k (that will happen with 22s no doubt) and from there go to 10k (I won't stop working hard until I reach 10k !!!)
When I talk to our new students I always tell them that when they finish program they will be able to make at least 1500 euro a month from poker. That is playing 5.5 euro limit with around 5% roi on average with 50% rb... That is absolutely doable and achievable and I believe anybody who works hard on their game can achieve that goal.
I haven't been active on blog mainly because of grind and work with students but I promise I will update more frequently from now on.

Thanks Matt. I watched bunch of your videos on SNG grinders ,found some of them really useful.
I read in your introduction here on PS that you are not playing any more - why is that man? I also checked your thread on 2+2 regarding coaching and you seem to have pretty hectic schedule - good for you
Regarding living outside of US it definitely has its advantages but I can tell you its not pretty when electricity goes off once a month or if they are doing repairs on wireless internet networks. Before it didn't bother me much financially but now in one session if I get cut off by internet or electricity I loose 150 euros on this buy in. Next buy in would be twice as much obviously so it ain't that pretty for poker player

Quick update
It took me about 4-5 hours to create one table and that is only scratch from what I will need to do in future.
I bought 3k bonus on WPT and started to clear it yesterday. So far I have played 477 with upswing following by downswings and setups in bubble.
I need to rake 2.5k in order to clear 3k so I plan to do within next 2 weeks grinding 6 hours on average (3 sessions 2 hours each).
