Oh we'll probably go through some of it in the public domain (i.e. stream or Youtube vid) because we looked at about 50-60 hands today and the amount of fur flying was hysterical

We played 307 hands in the session and some of the highlights included Maddy backdooring a straight vs top pair first hand, me bluff-donking A-high, 10BB/100 in rake, both players having WTSD of 50+ and Flop x/r of 40+ and me learning more about poker in 1 hour than I may have done in the last 3 months.

I think our little group's HUHU table could be getting very busy soon :)

Been hyper busy the last couple of days...well that's not scrictly true

Saturday - Monday was really busy. Got some super secret stuff going on atm which I'm hyper excited about, did some coaching etc however yesterday was the big one

Heart of the Swarm came out!!

And I literally played it 14 hours straight so I could beat it :)

Not going to spoil anything for anyone but I really enjoyed it, although some of the plot was pretty obvious, and found it a lot of fun. I've never really been one for multiplayer because I don't have a 900,000,000 APM and I simply won't have time to put the effort into being good, I still watch Day9s daily though.

If only I could play poker 14 hour straight without lagging :)

VPP/Hand

0.5/1 - 0.21VPP/hand
1/2 - 0.38 VPP/hand
2/4 - 0.53VPP/hand

Avg Winrate

No idea, probably losing since the vast majority of players don't win :)

It's also dependant on so many factors I don't work in averages

Personally I would be disappointed if I couldn't get 2BB/100 at 0.5/1 or 1/2 and 1BB/100 at 2/4

Normal Downswing

It isn't even worth talking about until it's hit 300BB. Almost all players will experience a 500BB downswing at some point if they're a 1BB/100 winner. Swings at lower stakes will be lower becasue the games are more passive and winrates are higher but I've had a 350BB downswing at 0.5/1 and I have a lifetime winrate over 3BB/100 there

Rake

It's changed recently but:

0.5/1 - 4.2BB/100
1/2 - 3.5BB/100
2/4 - 2.6BB/100

Are numbers that appear about right in my mind but I'll update them when I've got more concrete info (been a while since I regged fully on Stars)

Avg winrate is the rake payed per person isn't it?:)

1/2: 0,32 VPP/hand
2/4: 0,50 VPP/hand

From this numbers, you can calculate the rake. :)

Well the VPP/hand is what I'm currently getting on the micro challenge, same for rake so those numbers are accurate

I'll take baluuu's word for 1/2 and 2/4 for now becasue the schedule ahs changed recently

Had a fun hand w/ Pokerstrategy member sim5sim5 last night while playing

He's been kind enough to post it in the hand discussion section, I've posted my reply but see if you can do the analysis....apart from maddy who can just call me a fish now :)

Folding AK on wet board

I think it's a case of "correct line, incorrect reason" but it's a cool hand to discuss

Hi Boomer,

Nice blog, I will follow it. Sometimes I also play these stakes at stars and I've met you few times at the tables :).

Good luck with the challenge.

Busy day tomorrow, I intend to activate no less than 30 videos on Youtube....*sigh*...I live on the darned internet these days....ah well. Look for more soon :)

Hej Boomer!

Great blog. Hope to see more updates about your project, and don't leave the table as fast as last time, next time I have position on you! :-)

Best regards

Hehe, to be fair that might have been me maddy :)

That was basically a 20 minute session I recorded for a student, although it does seem I managed to play half the PS forum while I was at it, I played vs Doc, sim5sim5 and floaty I believe and I was only on 2 tables

And anyway, made 20BB, gotta hit n run right? :f_biggrin:
