Amazing video pleno1. The only downswide is it's shortness
Cool video ! After watching it I wanted to play some hands @zoom ♦
That KJ hand - river is really interesting IMO. U have almost only bluffing hand in your range because I assume ur 4betting range consists of Ax and maybe some other non-pair hands on that river, but for the most part u will have Ax or some other pair. For that reason we could bluffshove because we can't have any other bluff. But on the other hand do we need any bluffing range there at all ? We can shove wide merged range, like Ax+. Since we will lose very often with our weaker Ax, we don't need any bluffs to balance it out. c/c definitely is way too optimistic. He might be shoving any hand there and never checking back if he's more or less solid.
About QQ hand - well played

The QQ hand/last one is just amazing the way you explained it. If you just look at the hand - it makes no sense. Like if I had 88 I would have never understood your thought process there preflop and turn. River donk is also just amazing.
The KJ hand where you 4bet and make the small 3barrel plan is good but i believe on A turn or river we just have to give up. It just smashes his range.

Some question from my side :).[*] 2:40 - QQ: You bet flop really small and I wonder wheter you ever bet this small with a hand like AK? I would bet bigger with AK because if we bet this small on the flop we will nog have a nice SPR on the river for an AI. So do you bet differently with different hands from your range here? Isn't that unbalanced?
Yeah, I go for small sizings in 3bet pots, sometimes we won';t get all in by the river, but on this texture I will not usually bet 3 streets for value/bluff anyway and either c/call, c/f the turn, or likewise on the river.
[*] 5:45 - J9o: I would rather 3B preflop than defend by calling with this hand. Why is it better to just call? (Let's say he opens 2-2.5x)
vs 3x then I would 3bet or fold, vs 2.5x he is likely opening his whole range this sizing and our hand plays well vs it + still getting an awesome price. If we had reads that he was tight otb, then folding/3betting is ok.
[*] 6:20 - A8s: How do you estimate the highest EV on the flop? Bet vs check back. You say we can check back cause we also have a BDFD. But isn't this also an argument for a bet because we can barrel hearts? I think a check is fine vs aggro opponents.
I think i check back around 50% of the time here, having a back door flush draw we have implieds sometimes, but also with the bdfd we can also barrel more too.
[*] 12:30 - A8o: Merits of raising flop? Rather raise Kx8c? Would you raise A9 on this flop to merge your range? And lastly, would you give up on the river if called?
Rather raise K8 yeah, we have decent showdown and he barrels the good cards for us. I'd just call A9 otf. I'd make in game decision regarding the river, in a vacuum, I think the turn shows a profit.
[*] 15:05 - TT: You mention the guys behind you don't sqz too much so far and tell us it's an argument for making a call here. But isn't it even better to call if they are aggro and sqz a lot? Then we can just make a 4bet and hopefully they spew 5B-AI?
If you want to get into high variance situations then yeah, I don't particularly like trying to induce with a hand that has bad equtiy when we do get it in like TT, the hand may aswell be 55-88 as I don't expect people to squeeze 55-TT pre and rather choose blockers.[*] 15:45 - QJo: What hands do you sqz here? I don't believe fish is folding too much preflop and SPR sucks a bit cause his stack is nice to shove over our CB. Isn't that true? That's why QJo and KJo would be my bottom here and maybe call with pretty hands like SC's/QTs/.. ?
JQ is very close to the bottom of my range, because of blockers and dominating the fishes range I think it's fine. For value would probably go TT+ but 99 seems of too as he can shiparoo 22-88. It's ok if he shoves over my flop bet often we will dominate him and we have a strong range, I'm not squeezing 85s or something.
[*] 16:50 - T3s: Why bet that small on such a drawy flop? I tend to bet 3/4th pot at least on this flop with my whole range. And what do you think about villain's rivercheck?
It's not really that small, its 50%, I'm trying to fold out A/K high that defend bb vs btn, like k5o etc. If he calls with 7x or something then I still have decent equity and bdfd.
[*] 19:00 - 54s: I don't really think a CB can ever be +EV here. We only hope he folds some Ahi's but he doesn't have many Ahi's he flats preflop which don't connect on this board. Even if he has Ahi he could raise cause your sizing is weak.
Villains usually have 22-99 in their range here which I'm trying to fold out. We can also win on some run outs + we have a bdfd, I'd c/f 54hh.
[*] 20:20 - JTo: Let's say the river is 9
and villain bets 1/2p. Easy fold on spades?
Nah not folding, he just has so much shit hands here that he randomly turns into bluffs, Ace highs etc. Basically not folding any river.
[*] 22:35 - KTo: Why do you bet so small again? It's like QQ on AAx, That isn't balanced right? Because again, you need to think about having a good riversizing left.
It's balanced because I always do it
QQ on AAx is for value and KTo is a bluff
I always cbet small in 3bet pots.
[*] 24:45 - K4s: You get a walk but what if SB steals? Is this always a 3B? Also vs 2x open? Or just call? Why? Ty
Always defending Kxs and would 3bet weak off suit kings. Kx s plays well vs opening range, Kxo is a little bit too weak.
[*] 27:58 - K8o: You're in SB with K8o (you fold) but you say you're going to steal FI. In the BB there is a good aggro reg and if that's the case I'm even folding K9o and TJo in SB FI. Is this a leak?
If you are un-confident playing oop then folding is fine/whatever, I also fold quite a lot vs aggressive players. Do you change your opening sizing too and increase your sizing or keep it 3x? If you have a SUPER tight range then opening to 3.5x may be best.
[*] 29:41 - Q9o: I think villain's range for calling preflop is mainly broadways. He would never fold any broadwayhands vs this sizing on this flop I think so I doubt the CB is even +EV. You also don't have backup and can't barrel turns. Thoughts?
Well a fish called an open BVB, I think his range is WAY more than "broadways"
[*] 30:14 - QJo: UTG is most likely a fish so why would you not 3B KQ for value (You mention this). You also can't 3bet as a bluff preflop vs fish but that is what you do here if you would flat KQ? So you just assume he would not be a fish? Cause I understand your thinking if villain would be a regular.
I think you mis-read hand, I have KQo in the bb vs a btn min raise, table 2 I have JQ vs a villain with 2 hand sample
[*] 31:00 - 98o: You would defend vs BTN minraise. Again, why call>3bet?
Yeah, very standard. Theres a thread called btn v bb in this forum which speaks in depth about it. Generally folding would be a big leak and think that calling > 3betting, great price + good play ability.
[*] 33:20 - 9Ts: What if he barrels turn? Easy fold right?
We have enough Ax hands for our calling range, I'd maybe call K9/Q9 but folding T9 seems fine as don't expect him to barrel often here.

Just a question, how would his bet-size affect your action on the river in the lnternet-style raise with A8hh when you were trying to rep backdoor flush at the beginning?
He bet $6. What would you do if he bet $10 or pot? If he overbet?
Just tired 25 minutes to post a picture, but account won't work. fml.
Basically if he bet anything half pot or less then I think its a good spot. Especially vs the less than 40% bets I think they are generally very weak and the move works very well.
btw, they are pleno1 bets, not lnternet bets

I have a few questions
![]()
:spade:Q1: QQ AxAs bet once and x/c twice, against which regular would you x/c turn then x/f river, or if you x/c twice and he shows up with Ax what changes would you do in these spots against him? I mean would you take a note "he saw me calldown on AAx 3betpot and then don't do it again for a while, or still do this line, etc" ? Sorry for my english I hope you understand my question.
:spade:Q2: I saw you 3betting 16$ vs minraise open in position. Was it a missclick, or do you want to 3bet bigger vs minraises even if you're IP? You'd 3bet 2.5-3x if they raise 3bb? What whould your squeeze size look like in position? 3bb,3bb->10bb? (it was 12bb OOP)
:spade:Q3: KJ hand, I think he can have a lot of Tx hands like KTs, QTs, JTs, T9s, T8s, T7s, maybe ATs... I know most likley for him to call with those hands but you both are really deep and maybe a squeezer behind him, so he might 3bet those as well. And we don't know anything about his 3betting range either. And if we look at the result he did 3bet with AJs!!!! So don't we have to worry about Txs hands? Or even if he has sometimes it will be a profitable bluff spot (Tx calls, anything else folds)?
I think river ace is the worst card on river, he could easy call two small bets w AK,AQ,AJ and I think we can no longer valueshove our KK,QQ. So basically our value range when we shove on the river is Tx or nothing, maaaaaybe AQ AK but those are really thin.
really great video btw
hawooooooooooooooooo ![]()
Question 1 is a good one. I think vs more aggresive regs I would do ahead and play it the same, also vs good regs who will value bet thinly. Vs nits I prefer betting or c/c, c/f as nits don't often pull the final trigger ::)
Questio 2, yes a misclick, I think I said in the video it was. Vs min raises I do like to go bigger than normal, i.e in position I generally go 6 to 16, but when they go 4 I go 14 and if they are mid stackers I go 12 and short stackers 10 ![]()
Agree with your analysis on the KJ hand. I think its meh. Probably the only hand I think I misplayed in the video actually, but didn't like it at the time, I saw the ace on the river and in my eyes it had a bow saying "BLUFF ME PLS"
thanks for being involved <3
Hey pleno,
The last hand of the vid, QQ 552ss, Jo, 2o.
What do you think about donk-shoving the river?

What do you think about donk-shoving the river?
I think 3/4 pot gets a lot of hero calls including Ace high, whilst shoving we proabably just get called by like 99+
You also said something like "I have to play a lot differently on nl500 zoom than on nl200", mind me asking how? What things change? What kind of adjustments are necessary? Are you talking about just preflop changes or overall strategy adjustements?
I think at nl200, you can literally play your c game, make a lot of mistakes and show a profit, at 500 you get torn apart. Also people do crazy things like 3betting 89s bvb at 500 so it plays v different.
