UTG raises to $0.48, 4 folds, Hero raises to $1.44, UTG calls $0.96

Hero bets $1.60, UTG raises to $3.20, Hero folds

I cbet flop for value vs AK/QQ, possibly TT but doubtful, KQs, easy fold vs min-raise?

Hi Keoghh,

Preflop: looks fine

Postflop: I can't see myself folding overpair in a 3-bet pot on this flop. While he can have sets we are really mostly worried about JJ and that's pretty much it. It's rare that he has 22/KK and AK is part of his range and may play like this.

I'd at least call and let him bluff or bet worse (he may semibluff AQ type hands).

I almost guarantee he had 22-jj called 3bet for set mine where he always minraises if he hits and sometimes if not as bluff, well he shud b neways

What about raising bigger pre?
His perceived range from UTG would be fairly strong so maybe we can get him to commit more money with a strong hand...

You are actually right. I misread the amount we made it and thought it was 4x.

But our 3-bet, being OOP vs a strong UTG range should be larger, not just 9 BB. Usually I'd make it 11-12 BB here.

You are actually right. I misread the amount we made it and thought it was 4x.

But our 3-bet, being OOP vs a strong UTG range should be larger, not just 9 BB. Usually I'd make it 11-12 BB here.
