KK overpaire check raised

Hello Edukator,

Preflop: looks fine

Postflop: How aggressive is villain over this sample? We have 131 hands which means that we have a bit more info about his postflop play.

Is he aggro or passive?

If he is super passive then we have a fold otherwise there's no way I'm dropping overpair in a 3-bet pot here.

hmm.... his aggression factor is 3.50.

He's bet 6/17 (35%) on the flop but... but he's 5/12 (42%) betting into limped pots...and he limps in every time.

His check raise is 1/2, but does PT4 include the one he just did to me in that?

Weird stats.

He's aggressive though.

Honestly though. Let's say he has a set there. Is a check raise a good idea? Wouldn't it make more sense to call?

I don't really understand the purpose of a check raise if you're strong.

I guess to avoid people drawing out on wet boards?

The ck/raise would be purely for value.

Most people are not able to fold those overpairs or even TP and yes you get value/protect versus draws. The board is somewhat wet.

So... do you think the fold was good based on those stats?

Hard to say, I think it's close because he showcased aggressive tendencies but most of them were in limped pots not in 3-bet pots.

But I think that you are most likely correct to fold there though.
