$19.21 pot ($0.86 rake)
Final Board: 2 K Q A 9
Hero mucked A 6 and won $18.35 ($8.87 net)
SB mucked and lost (-$9.48 net)

Explain the reason for betting the river here???
Seems to me were not getting called by worst and we have decent SD value

we arent getting called by worse that is for certain. my thought process was that villain will show up with KQ/AJ/AT type hands a decent amount of the time here, and i feel if we check behind we lose too often. without reads it will be super tough for villain to check/call river with AJ/AT and even KQ since i can have AK/AQ/JT/AA often in this spot.

in conclusion i was turning my hand into a bluff and that was my thought process, still not sure how great it is though :f_confused:

Im pretty sure the only 2 pair hand he has is KQ or sometimes make A2. i think with no reads that is a really tough call to make. i will be shoving AK/AQ/AA on river most likely, could be value cutting myself vs 22 or some combos of QQ though.

Anyways played a short session, played like crap but still made money.

Off for some beers now though, time to fire it up this weekend _biggrin:

i suck at volume, i usually get up around 12, look around the forums for an hour and eat lunch. then i grind for 3-4 hours, 4 tabling zoom, until my roommate gets home. after that, i usually mess around with some regular tables and do some spewy plays at NL25 or PLO5 haha :f_biggrin:

I was wondering if anyone out there has experience creating pop ups in HEM2?

I am trying to create one that has all relevant 3bet stats (example to follow) but i cannot seem to get it right :f_confused: :f_cry:

Anyways i am looking to do something like this:

MP 3bet

CO 3bet vs EP
CO 3bet vs MP

BTN 3bet vs EP
BTN 3bet vs MP
BTN 3bet vs CO

SB 3bet vs EP
SB 3bet vs MP
SB 3bet vs CO
SB 3bet vs BTN

BB 3bet vs EP
BB 3bet vs MP
BB 3bet vs CO
BB 3bet vs BTN
BB 3bet vs SB

After i get that right i would move onto sqz/4bet pop ups.

Any help would be great as i am a huge tech fish :f_mad:

still working on this nasty hud business, and not having much luck ;(

i guess i saved up my luck for 1 tourney tonight. decided to play just one while watching the penguins vs. bruins game. ended up shipping it for around $450 :f_biggrin:

so that is a nice few BI to add to the roll, and back to the grind tomorrow _cool:

here was a sweat to put me in the chip lead after being down 5/1 at heads up.

Why u need the red line when u are gooing ~27%to SD and win almost 60% of the time???

IMO u should find spots to cbet more, your cbet range is very strong.

I think your cb is fine. If you were to increase it you start playing too 'fit-or-fold' imo and end up being super capped too often when you check it.

Imo you could be doing better from the bb. And thats where your redline is tanking. Also your 3b from the blinds seems a bit low. Awesomeo made a post that might be worth thinking about:

Ok so here are some facts and thaughts about my play...

1) the biggest issue I'm seeing in my game right now is the blind play. When I run VPIP filters in HM most of the things that I do are +EV (I guess they have to be for someone to be breakeven). What I do when I voluntarily put money from the blinds is also profitable. However my defending ranges are way too tight so I end up folding >80% to steals and I know that number is wrong because when I see someone with such stat I steal any 2 cards for immediate profit.

Lately I'm trying to loosen up (esp vs minsteals) and defend random suited crap and offsuited high cards because of math but TBH I have no idea if what I do is right. Deff not comfortable doing it. I know I'm missing the flop a lot and will have to play without position, initiative (when I only call) and often I end up doing random bluffs simply because I know I have to win some of the time with air to make the preflop defence + EV.

So for example when I call from blinds pre I end up with some completely polarized flop c/raise range that is full of air and weak made hands, draws, monsters, while the calling range is pretty tiny with TP or strong middle pairs that does not stand a lot of aggresion - so a lot of passive dead money for villains to take. Also when I call down with pair and let villain outdraw me on turn or river it tilts me even though I didn't have value raise at any point in the hand and bluffcatching would be the only way to make money. So if I call 99 and the flop comes T83r I c/call flop which should be correct but I have this uneasy feeling that there are at least 16 cards J to A that I'll hate on turn. So this spot is never easy for me and I do not have "default" solution/ nor do I know if I need one :)

When I decide to deffend aggresively I also don't like most of the spots and my uncertainty creates mental issues for me when my random plays end up losing the pot. If I have to play 3bet pots vs me I'm calling pre with whatever equity hand and never fold the flop and that should show profit. Still haven't grow the balls to do the same vs loose villains often enough

So I'm leaking money at -23.6 from SB and 41,6 at BB over 300k + hands at NL50 which is probably the biggest reason for my steady negative redline. My understanding is that all regfishes have negative red line like that and we are trying to fix it by being bluffy postflop when the problem is more likely to be with folding too much from blinds vs late position ranges that do not deserve half of the credit we give them. Of course that is another thing I believe without being too sure about it.

edit: I've played some nl50 on regular tables, never zoom so take my advice with a pinch of salt lol

edit 2: spelling

thanks for the responses guys!

i just feel like the biggest nit playing 19/16/6 at NL50 because prior to this limit i was around 27/24/9.

i will certainly look into blind play and cbetting spots though :)

Why did you change your game this much? I don't play nl50 but just moved up to nl25 and I try to keep playing the same game as on nl10.
