Mkay, I understand my fault Matt! I was just sayin [Edited by HollyMichelle] to him in his native language maybe he would understand that way better.
I won't disturb this blog with useless spamming or being offencive against someone etc. Sorry.
@pucilpet if u wana contact me here/skype ill send u the money, tried to contact u on skype, ill ship back the to the original payment method in a few days if i can't get hold of you. Just wana make sure thats the payment method you'd prefer.
So I've been thinking alot recently. It's clear to me I really wana work hard on my poker game, I think there's still alot of money to be made, and money that can help me in regards to the other business type things I wana do in my life.
I would like to get into writing some android apps/games, even though I think there isn't so much money in it unless you bink a candycrush/templerun idea.
I think currently, poker is something I have to concentrate on, just to help build myself a BR for all my programming type projects that won't gain me immediate return.
I have been thinking about getting another stake, but slightly different.
The concept would be the same, same BRM, same stake size. However I would include all RB & Bonuses this time and ask that inbetween action I could grind NL50 SH. I feel like sitting waiting for fish I am losing so much $/hr. The hand count would be only on the HU hands, so for example, I could have played 30k hands SH but none will count towards the total, stake would be over at 30k hands HU.
I'm pretty much just thinking it would help cut variance, and increase profitability of the stake (for sure my w/r is lower at 50 SH, but it's also lower variance, also doesn't go towards the overall hand count and so just increases the $$/hr we achieve).
I think it'll also do me some good to be playing inbetween action, rather than playing 20 hands and waiting 30mins, I am constantly in the action staying focused, not worrying/checking results etc. I think it's better off for the overall mindset.
If some ppl contact me with interest I think i'll definitely set this up. If not, i'll probably get on with some of my other projects for a week or two and then fund myself to play solely nl50 hu/sh.
hey man, w8ed for an offer to pop ♦
im deff interested again, btw so lets say u play 30k hands HU and like 50k SH, both profits are split equaly right?
anyways sign me up for the same $ as last time
yeah thats exactly it, just 50/50 on absolutely everything, no limit on SH hands, stake is just over when the HU hands are over. Focus is ofc on HU it's where the money is, just want to maximise $$/hr
Pt 2 has started, Totte still needs to ship $90 but he said he will send ASAP so thats cool.
I started, ive not played v many hands and we are about $150 up. Ill try to get some decent volume in today.
weekend turned out to be busier than i thought so not very much volume, profits are still about the same, i have an exam tomorrow and i am quite busy at night, but from tuesday onwards i shud be free, so expect volume/updates to come then ![]()
I'll post small updates here and a full graph/summary on Sunday.
Sorry it's a slow start volume wise, I had a busy weekend and an exam yesterday. Will play tonight though and update.
Played a small amount tonight, dropped a BI or so.
These miniupdates suck abit. But I will provide full progress report & full graphs every sunday of every week (except when im on holiday).
volume still pretty lowish, im up around a BI or so for the stake, not much to say, will post graph & summary tomorrow
Hey, sorry it's a day late, my session went on til early morning last night.
Unfortunately I had an awful weekend, I have already dropped to 50HU only and will stay here until the roll rebuilds.
My volume has been pretty low so far. (~2k HU ~5k SH).
At SH I am pretty much B/E. And majority of my losses are at HU.
It's a really sucky start, below I am posting a graph, a small summary and as many big pots from the weekend as I can with analysis. I felt I played pretty decent, so to be down such a big amount sucks. I will continue to follow my BRM plan as planned and hopefully we can rebuild quickly.
In terms of the introduction of SH, im happy with the way this is going, I am playing SH on my highest RB site, so I think come the end of the stake this will really help boost the roll.
I also unlocked a $50 stars stella award so that is a small + point.

Total HU Hands: 2,384
Total Hands: 7,323
Total Profit: -$984.31
Any questions please ask. I'm sorry for the poor start, but as you'll see below I think I played most of the spots OK.
I'll be playing only $50NL until roll rebuilds.
OK, so here's the big pots I played over the weekend. With some analysis.
Villain is 85/68/11.8% with 40% fold to 3bet & 33% FCBet. I am 3betting currently 16% at the time of this hand. And have AFq of 40%. (I don't expect the fish to know these stats, but it gives an idea of my current play, pretty loose aggro overall). He may think im tilted since I lost a pot literally 2-3hands before.
I think the 3b PF is absolutely mandatory vs this guy, he is opening 100% PF, meaning his defending range here is ~60%.
F: Obviously a cbet here. He is peeling flops very loosely and has a super wide PF range, I think he has probably all J7o+ combos, maybe even wider Jxs combos, lots of 6x combos, many of the suited 86s 76s 96s 56s etc. All PPs, FDs even hands such as 56o 67o. A6o etc. He may even peel some A highs or even a hand like KQ.
T: His range is going to be pretty similar. Some of his range picks up equity on this card, but it's got to be a pretty slim chunk when we consider his whole range. Also I think vs this whole range, we clearly gain equity since he now has only 1 card to improve on. I think the weaker parts of his range are folding here. But I still don't think he's folding 6x+ and I don't think he's folding all his fds. I think I made a schoolboy error with my sizing here. 19.50-22 is definitely alot better.
R: I made a small mistake OTT with my sizing, so R is slightly over pot, however it's not like 1.5x pot. It's a super small overbet and I think the range we expect to call is pretty much the same. If he's calling 88 here he's calling 88 regardless. He just prays we have AK etc. Jx is ofc never folding. We miss value from FDs but I think it's a small part of his range by now so we just have to ignore that. 6x is less likely since 6 paired.
There are definitely guys you can't get 3 streets vs here. But this guy isn't one of them imo. Unfortunately he did something I hadn't ever seen him do and flatted AA.

This is the pot I played just before, same guy same reads, it was 2-3hands earlier.
Not much to say in this hand, maybe I prefer betting turn slightly bigger vs this guy, he peels flops pretty wide in general and doesn't seem to fold super often so I think he's calling alot of pair+diamond hands, Kx calls a bigger bet also so maybe I can go a couple dollars more but this is neither here nor there...
I mean, I'm not fist pumping the turn but there's obviously absolutely no way I can do anything else here.

Ok, again this is the same guy, I think this is before both the above hands, I'm not sure, I won this one though.
In hindsight I don't like my PF call it's too loose. My reasons were: his CBet % is quite low + his AFq is quite low, therefore I can take away alot of pots when he gives up. Particularly when I have equity.
I think the thought process is not terrible, but I think the PF peel is still much too loose.
Anyway, nothing to say really, I think raising flop is fine too, I don't remember my exact reasoning for call F raise T.

The next hand is from a different guy, this guy was absolutely terrible, super loose, i'd say he seemed not aggressive IP but OOP he would raise draws etc. His F3b % was 22% and his FCBet was 20%.
KQ is obviously the easiest 3b in the world pre vs this guy.
F: I cbet 1/2pot. It's what i've been doing pretty much. He doesn't like to fold to cbets & the board is fairly dry. I don't see the point in betting bigger here, I'm just giving him a reason to fold when he doesn't want to fold. He could bluff raise me here, peel hands like 56, A highs. I'm unsure whether he will raise here with a fd so I just say some % he raises some % he calls. I think similarly with Kx some % he raises some % he calls. I say this because I don't know exactly how he plays these hands yet (not enough notes) only that I have seen him raise some flops with some weird hands.
When he raises, honestly I'm not scared here at all. I decided to shove. I think he can raise some FDs and worse Kx, with that in mind I decided to shove since I think if hes raising them hands he's calling it off.
I did think about calling F to ch/jam turn line. But I wasn't sure exactly what to do on a club. If a club falls I think I'm not doing awesome vs his range, but it's hard to calculate. So with the information I had at the time I decided shove F was the way to go.

The next hand is 10-20hands in no reads. At this point I don't know whether the guy is a reg, a fish or what. I'm trying to get a hold, if he's a reg i'll quit if he's a fish i'll play.
I pick up AT and I 3b PF. I make the assumption the guy is more on the fishy side when they join my table and don't immediately have reggy
tendencies.
F: Dry board, my 2nd 3b of the match, I'm obviously cbetting here. I don't like to check, too many hard decisions if I check, too many turns I'm guessing on, I end up losing just too often vs an unknown. I also cap my range somewhat. I like cbetting because my range is uncapped = I can be super strong here. There are many good cards to continue my story, A K Q J T, even blanks are probably in reality. I think his flop range is somewhat obvious. Some A highs, all PPs maybe 67, some fds.
T: Turn is the absolute nut card for me, it smashes my range, he has no reason to think im spewing, this is only the 2nd time i've 3b him. My range looks so strong, I'm just never ever checking this card. I expect his range here to look similar to the flop, but with slightly less FDs, probably no A highs w/o FD. So I think his range is something like PPs A high fds 67hh 78hh. I don't know how bad this guy is so it's hard to define his range exactly. He probably also has Kxhh.
R: I think I slightly missed the point on this river I mean, I can also have flushes in my range - yes. Therefore he really will have to fold here on the R with his pairs. However. I think now that I look back at his range, when we say his range is practically fds PPs and Kxhh. I should giveup here. Had the R been an offsuit Q I think shoving here is better. I think overall the R is close here as I get 1:1 (I need him to fold 50% right?). But I think the play is to check here and bomb a non heart R.
He actually turned out to be a pretty big fish and showed me a hand I never expected him to have. OFC if I had known this I would never bet any river here.

This was vs the guy in the hand above, this was after the above hand, so I did have the reads that he's totally awful.

I'm too tired to analyse anymore, my session ran late last night and i've worked all day til 9pm. I just wanted to show some of my thought process' so you guys know where I'm at.
I'll try to put in a few more updates this week. Also I'll try to post some more hands/analysis. I think it's good for everyone to see some of my thought process' even if I am a bit tired right now.
I'll get to work at 50HU. Hopefully it won't take long to grind it back. I'll still play a bit of SH, feel i've been doing OK. I think the high RB + profits I make from it will help cut some HU variance.
Any Qs please drop them, may take me a while to answer, my current schedule is a little all over the place.
oh one thing about the graph, it clumps all WH, all PS and all FTP hands together, so they don't get put exactly in time order etc. which makes the graph look like i got hit right at the end but thats not exactly correct.
I'm not always a poker expert, but I think you seem to be over-evaluating your hand strength from time to time. You are playing for stacks against some guy who shouldn't have that broad bluff-range. Could be also imaginating this ♦ Other thing that I was thinking about your graph is that it seems like you might have too long sessions or then you have some doom-switch on one of those poker-sites.
Anyway, to your hands:
1. Overbet is clearly a mistake. His range of calling this is super-narrow and I think he has more of air balloons and nuts on his range at that river. After you bet overpot you make balloons, which are majority of his range, to fold and you isolate yourself against his top-range, which in most cases crushes you.
2. On turn if we 3-bet we are likely to isolate ourselves against very tight range unless villain is super-aggro. Even if it is heads-up, I think most of the players are imbalanced on that kind of turn and won't 4-bet with wore. If you flush-draw was at least T high I could see myself jamming this in HU as he should have worse in his range, but 6hi is only good to bluff-catch blanck river.
3. I think this one is quite well played. You do have a small flush, but in this hand I see his range to be more tp+fd -type of holdings so I don't mind playing for stacks.
4. This KQ seems super standard on HU games. I wouldn't fold it either.
5. I don't like this. When you bet only 1/2 on such boards where there is a flush-draw and it's connected I can see that villain could call-down rather light in a HU match. I'd catch with my pair some of the time there, especially if I hold some blockers for flush. I think this play with that run-down would be good against a confirmed reg, but against such an unk. guy I think this is a bit of a over-play.
6. This one seems more standard. He's not repping that much on turn, perhaps a Q or some draw. Not folding over-pair.
Hopefully you will get up on your feet m8!
