Sounds like you got the multiple personality disorder overnight, with dats out won't you be the only one creating content?

You, sir, are obviously not familiar with the Royal "We"

It's usually followed by a Royal Flush

As someone not competent in the British traditions, if the Queen speaks about herself in multiple forms that's a Royal Royal "We"? GL on the Royal Flush, wanna sidebet?;)

Hmm, I detect a minor case of Gambler's Fallacy in this sentence...

Only a minor one? :P

Interesting fact about the UK lottery. Most of the people who win it, will keep playing it...maybe they understand this better than we think

Or they think sitting on a rabbit's foot made them hit their 1-in-14,000,000 chance so doing it again is obviously going to work...

It a solid gold rabbit's foot now though, so they can afford to play it for fun, just to see if they can do it again for laughs.

First Coaching tonight and had to admit I was petrified, especially when I had to emergency throw it together at the last minute but i think it went off well and I really appreciated all the chatter and Dawnfall coming out for it

Hopefully more of the same next week :)

I'm going for a lie down in a dark room

Any chance to see your coaching recorded?
I remember you mention something about your youtube channel, where you would post alot of poker material. Is that still the plan? I have checked out http://www.youtube.com/user/Boomer2k6, but see no sign of poker!

Also - how is your challenge going?

The coaching's stay up on Twitch for about a week and I also record it to my own personal hard disk

That channel is really for gaming videos I will have another channel/other areas if I wish to do poker stuff on Youtube but atm I have my fill of producing stuff for Pokerstrategy, especailly now with the 4-5 coachings per month

The challenge is moving along at a bit of a snail's pace, I hit a downswing early and then a bunch of just utterly crazy rl stuff happened

Right now it may just be a "how far can we get" challenge but have to keep in mind if I'm at 3/6 or 5/T with 2 months to go and 1/2 way there in FPPs I can still make it, the hard work's at the beginning.

I'll be moving it onto my coaching either way and saving my video content for other things as the number of FL videos is dropping atm and in order to stay up to date I'll be reporting on it in my coachings

In other news today:

Still contemplating a new PC for various reasons, none the least of which is my primary desktop is about 6 years old and I was looking at something like this:

http://www.ebuyer.com/lists/list/69691

I can always lop off certain things (i.e. I can start with 16GB of RAM rather than 32 and I don't need a 3GB HD off the front either becasue I have about 1.5TB of portable HD's and another 650GB I can scavenge if necessary and the 120GB SSD should be enough for Windows and Postgres) and I think the 680 should be dropping a little in price soon because of the releasing of the 7xx series so all in all I'd be looking to grab this for around £1100-£1200 if I can.

If that's possible I'll pull the trigger. Originally I had a i5 3570k in there but after a chat with Karmen here at Pokerstrategy and a bit of Youtube searching for video production and gaming the AMD chip did look slightly superior and cheaper...

Let me know what you think guys

Still looking for feedback on my PC :(

Also mentioned this during my coaching last night:

Sense of humour always appreciated

Got a feedback thread for my coachings and suggestions here:

Really looking for what you guys want to see. I have ideas of my own of course but it's definitely worth polling the audience on occasion, I'm always looking to increase the viewership and this is the first step

The second step to increasing viewership of course is SPAM :f_biggrin:

Juuuuust kiddin'

Had a chat with one of our community member's Avataren about how to proceed at low micros, and I'm wondering if low stakes ($1.50, $3.50 & $7.00) HU SNGs might not be interesting as something for someone at hose stakes interested in developing their game to do

The competition is weak, the rake is low, therefore you get a much more pure HUHU experience rather than either rake or reg dodging, of course you still have to avoid deliberately sitting vs regs but you're not both punished to the same degree as you would be playing HUHU at say 0.25/0.5 where you'd lose about 3c per hand to the rake (which is 25% of what you pay for a full $1.50 HUHUSNG)

The added advantage of something like this as well is that you get to understand the fundementals construction of the game to a great degree, my favourite things like balance, and you also get to poke holes in your weaker opponent's games without the website poking holes in your bankroll.

If there's interest in this I might play a few hundred HUHU SNGs at the micros as part of my challenge (what the hell right might as well see if it's an option). I'll mix in some Turbos too again if there's interest.

I just played a couple today to relax a bit and one was a surreal experience:

My opponent was an 83/15 straightforward fishy player. He had a flop fold to C-Bet of 50!! (btw this means I can bet any 2 cards and then give up and still show a profit).

It took me 166 hands to put him away and even then it took him spewing off his stack when I'd made a flush

I don't think I played brilliantly, I definitely took advantage of his tendencies but I still played the value of my hand preflop, I should have just been raising any 2 cards and c-betting as it was so profitable...my actually raise form the SB was 74 due to the utter crap I was getting dealt (like I'll fold the bottom 5-10% of hand tops with a no rake structure (still too tight probs) and I folded 25% in a 166 hand match...go figure.

Additionally I ran 37 (yeah that's how much he folded) WTSD and 40 W@SD, pretty sure vs anyone remotely aggresive I lose this but fortunately my WWSF% of 60 saw me through :)

Got to admit I do enjoy HUHU, it's just the rake and the mega bumhunting which keeps me away, it's even happening at micro 6-max now. Sorry, but if it's a SNG....only 1 man leaves and you stay till it's done!!

As an addendum a while back madorjan and I played each other at 5c/10c HUHU for fun and we paid $6 in rake between us in a 300 hand match....which would you rather do?

So true, everyone should play me on 5/T instead!:P

And to add something relevant to this post: I totally agree, HUHU is a really good way to learn to play laggier (which is essential at any normal stake), and helps your handreading and adjusting skills.

BTW, when will we review that particular session on vid or stg?

When I remove the shame...and the boot Stars shoved up my ass

Would be fun to review on a coaching or a vid though.

Continuing to actually quite enjoy HUHU, and the fact it's raked to a small degree compared to cash is really good practice...although tbh I'm not getting much balance practice because within 10-15 hands a lot of the time it's "Exploitation Target Acquired" but it really helps sharpen yourself up.

Played a few 6-max games recently and I have toned it down a bit, I'm now playing around 31/23 and a little more willing to make slightly "bigger" folds than balance would dictate but I'm still not overdoing it and everything I've done has been read based but maybe just a little reigning in was reguired in 3BB/100+ raked games. (So far paying 3.7BB/100 at 0.5/1...yikes...although I have been playing 35/28 there so maybe a tone back is needed there too)

Although in playing for a lower than normal "From the Bottom Up" video would someone like to tell me where my pot went?
