Was wondering the same.
I had a quick look and there seem to be a few flights from different airlines....
there is one from JetBlue leaving in about 4h
other wise there were on more from JetBlue, one from Virgin America and one from American Airlines getting you in Sin City before 1PM
time to run good!
Like it was and is just so brutal. Cliffs
- arrive in dry New York and find out flight is cancelled due to weather
- takes 90 minutes to collect bags
- takes another 90 minutes to speak to representative
- no compensation just 10 dollar voucher
- check in then check out so can go t restaurant
- use airport service to use local hotel who set me up a free transfer
- find the place and then wait 90 minutes for transfer to arrive (meanwhile pick up Fatima, more on her later)
- arrive to hotel and wait 60 minutes, get to frot of cue and told there is no rooms left and they overbooked
- go back to airport get told its Moody's fault but no rooms left in city now
- Fatima is on same leg of all these journies and is petty pissed too
- we get back to airport trying to just find somewhere to be comfortable after travelling for 26 hours
- get into debate about Muslims and Muslims n England with Fatima think we got a1-0 there
- check in again at3am and find some floor for 3 hours
- fond Greg quiet spot then 6 truck drivers arrived drinking from. 3.30amand whenever one of them. As a joke. Hat they find amusing they all. Pretend they are in. Their trucks and have imaginary yet very loud horns
- move 3 gates down and just as my eyes close a baby arrives crying
There's a flight to Vegas in 2 hours but its of course full so waiting around here.
Americans are just so dumb, Jesus. This airport is absolute shambles.
Apologies about the negativity in the thread, I realise that listening to me moan is incredibly tilting but just needed to vent alot for the last 12 hours.
Should be in Vegas in around 8 hours and will hopefully be the best 3 weeks of my life.
Grind mode on, no mistakes. I've loved the transition to MTTs in the fact that you can play different with different stack depths of course there is some similarities in cash games sometimes you're 200bb deep but then the pre flop decisions are not so close like there's not a spot you would tank for 20 seconds about what to do pre flop but in MTTs you really gotta be in the zone and concentrate on every spot.
The deep stacked spots I think I can auto pilot pretty well I have pretty solid pre designed ranges for almost any spot for 50+ bb poker as standard and the best thing about my game is making dynamic adjustments quicker than others. I think it would be easy for me to say ah let's just play these deep tacked tournies vs these mtt fish who play terrible when deep. It would be naive and arrogant and I think I've got to respect them and admire their short stacked game and hopefully put myself into a position where I can look back in 1 month and not regret any f the exits from th tournaments that ill play.
Another thing that I will focus on is my table demeanour. I left the dr dre headphones in Hungary ill sometimes watch some films but in general want to enjoy these tournaments, meet people from different backgrounds and learn something genuinely interesting about 1 different person per day who I will try to blog about.
I know I'm committing a lot here but would also like to do some reviews on hotels as well so when I'm out of tournaments will go to some less known hotels play an hour of cash and report back with my findings and keep a poker chip for a souvenir.
