lol, pwned
I have decided to join back mere mortals and leave my super moderator powers behind.
I hope to be able to revive my blog and spend more time on developing my game and playing instead. I have really enjoy moderating for the last few years but the time has come.
so a few goals for the future related to poker( it is still a poker site init? ):
- Work had on my game (I have formed a study group but more on this later)
- Play 20K hands a month. (it's seems little but I don't have that much time to play + I only 4-6 table on PKR atm ![]()
- reach NL100 by end of September (60K hands) using 25BI BRM to go up and 15BI to go down.
this is hoping for a 8bb/100 average over the next 60K hands.
I will be mostly focusing about playing my A-game all the time more than trying to achieve any target. it just would be nice to get back there.
More updates soon, take care
EDIT: (the study group)
I have recently created a study group that includes:
So a wide range of levels and skills. I am sure we all will crush in no time like BsB!

I remember reading your blog! Glad to see you back, if you are looking for nooby Nl5 working hard at getting better I would love to join and learn!
nice new shiny avatar.
I had a little session yesterday and more or less broke even. I have a much more aggressive play at the tables recently. Trying to exploit every pots I can find. Yesterday all tables were regs infested and were playing back a lot and the cards were not giving me the opportunity to get much value ♦
nice little session yesterday. I have really hard time putting volume in. To play the 60k hands target I need to play at least 1K hands a day. yesterday I played under 650 and this month I have played only about 10k. so I need to push myself to play more.
I am happy again with the way I played apart from a couple of hands. Will surely review them.
My favourite was really this hand though:
A bit of history. Villain sat down not too long before. I have a hand like AQo or AKo I open and he calls ... the flop comes 28Tss I bet about 2/3 (which is probably a bit high) and I get min raised. I snap fold and he shows a pair of deuces. He then types in the chat that he was hoping I had an over pair ♠_biggrin:.. So I said that I did. and those simple words seemed to tilt him completely. He was berating me in the chat while I was waiting for a spot.
(note that he minraises with a monster ♠_evil: )

I snapped called his shove... apparently he plays QJ the same ♠_cool:
he berated me some more before leaving the table... I try to taunt him a bit in the hope that he reloaded but with no luck.
I doubt you'll fall for the trap, but I'll suggest you try not to get led by the chase anyway.
Nice to have you back blogging and see you at the tables sir. ♠_cool:

I rarely call over bets unless I have a good reason to. (like a guy on tilt)

I had a great role model for mindset so I don't tilt much or when I do I realise it and am able to snap quit. Well I also think that your blue avatar looks a lot more fishy than the black one
I'm blue DA BA DE DA BA DI DA BA DE DA BA DI DA BA DE DA BA DI DA BA DE DA BA DI DA BA DE DA BA DI DA BA DE DA BA DI DA BA DE DA BA DI
here is a hand that was discussed heavily in the study group
PKR, $0.10/$0.25 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players

MP: $24.47 (97.9 bb)

BTN: $19.14 (76.6 bb)
Hero (SB): $50.99 (204 bb)

UTG: $26.10 (104.4 bb)
Preflop: Hero is SB with J

Flop: ($4) 9

(4 players)
Hero bets $2.66, BB calls $2.66, UTG raises to $25.10 and is all-in, CO folds, Hero ???
- UTG is a fish that stacked me a few hands before. He is a maniac postflop with 83% aggression frequency and on tilt.
- CO is a reg that plays back a lot especially at me. he does nto fold to 3 bet much and 4 bets a lot
- BB is a bad reg multitabler that tilts a lot and start spewing and berating every one on the table when on tilt.
I did not 3bet pre because I am not happy to fold or get it in agaisnt a 4bet 140bb deep with JJ. So now I am left with a few choices:
- fold
- call and call a raise from BB
- call and fold to a raise from BB
- shove
discuss
Is MP supposed to be UTG?
Also "call and fold to a raise from SB". You're in the SB.
[x] Confused.

corrected
Depends of the range of the bb , 65,88,55 a set?
i mean with what range is he calling pre
He just called so i suppose 65,89 should be his worst holdings
and he wont call a jam , if he has a set u are payn him anyways so better
call a call a raise cuz he might spw with a draw or 1010,88?
(im just a fish) ♦

I am home early for the weekend and gonna work from home tomorrow and Saturday to deliver a project for a client on Monday ♠_cool:
I guess this month is finish in terms of poker and I have been slacking in terms of volume (11k hands) ![]()
this week I have played only 1.5K out of the 5k planned and ran at 12.8bb/100 against the 8bb/100 target ♠_grin:
here is the graph for the month.

To reach the target volume I need to play 5 days a week about 5 hours a day... I might be pushing it a bit but we will see. I don't want to increase the number of tables just yet as I find myself doing more mistakes.
