Yeah quality was not good also 4 tables where to much. Almost every hand they missed what happened preflop because everything goes so fast.

Still 78s call 4bet hand was awesome :f_biggrin: :f_biggrin:

Next time maybe you can discuss with your student before the session how to setup everything correctly (how many tables, test the internet connection etc...)

I look forward to see next sessions.

Still good job guys.

You are absolutely right. Fishy mistake by me to think a Croatian would be online in time  We will be better prepared for the next time. Still no idea why the sound quality was so bad, on our Skype call it was perfect :(

Is there any case that we will see these live coachings released in the future as videos? Last coachings were great but they got removed from twitch and there is no way to rewatch them.

They should be available in the future. Twitch had some problems. Easiest though to join the coachings live ;)

what about the stuff in emanuels first post? has this already been discussed?
as a psychologist i disagree with some of the statements, particularly "no session preparation".

Are you in tonight? It's probably easier for me to reply with mic. If you are not on, I will post here next days :)

We can discuss it during one of the live coachings in more detail if you want, but in short:

I do believe that - as poker pros - we have to develop an extensive and professional mindset. A mindset that lets us focus on maximizing EV, controlling our emotions and self-reflecting all the time (also from a meta level at times). Therefore, I see the attitude/mindset more wholistic and also incorporated in our every day life. Like you "live" KungFu, we "live" Poker. We cannot just have a poker mindset during grinding and we cannot have a KungFu mindset during a competition or fight. Its an attitude to life, therefore I personally think that we should work on our overall mindset and general approach to the game, but not specifically prepare for sessions. It seems a bit artificial to me to get into the right poker mindset/mood before a session. I live the poker spirit anyway, only thing to prepare are drinks and some snacks for a really long grinding session, maybe also some music etc.

A session is 2nd nature to a poker pro, I dont see the necessity of specific pre-session-rituals. I'm open to discussing my approach though :)

Good overall mindset is one thing, but you cannot be at your peak performance 24/7 ... would be exhausting & overplaying it.

Pre-game rituals help you heighten you senses/focus/thought processes to perform @your peak.

Just like all those same things/techniques/rituals help pro athletes achieve their best results - they don't just arrive at the last minute and say "boooya! let's do this shit right now!" (unless they're on some "solid" performance enhancing stuff :f_biggrin: ).

Tho I can see a true pro, like yourself, being able to instantly just switch their mind into that "pwn/zone mode" cause you've done it so many times & you've mastered it.

99% people don't have it mastered & so finely tuned, just like their technical poker game isn't ... Otherwise they wouldn't need coaching.

So imo, not 100% necessary for all the grand masters out there, but deffo can't hurt & beneficial for most of us even if you overall mindset is pretty solid :]

Very keen to watch the Thazar session review as I missed it. Annoyingly I won't be around for the hotly anticipated jbpatzer review either so hopefully we can see it on here afterwards =)

Wish I could be at all of them but Sunday nights can be...tricky :f_frown:

I get your point TT, but StaticMoth is pretty much spot on.
Yes you can and should improve your general mindset, but you can and should also turn it up a notch before a session starts. You can't be at 100% the whole day.
