Hi Guys,

I am new to this forum but not to poker. I have recently started analysing my play in a lot more depth, focusing on $3.50, 18 man sng and 9 sng. I noticed that my performance from the blinds is very poor. I would love to get comments on my position play...

Would love to hear your thoughts.

You always stand to lose from the BB, it's just how it goes :)

Hi, allankay1!

And welcome to the forums! I just checked your stats-firstly, you better get a bit of a bigger sample. Say at least 10000 hands for each position. Second-it's absolutely normal to lose money from the SB/BB. You post a blind, you play OOP. You win most of your money on the BTN, which makes sense as you have the ultimate position. I don't know how your game is, but from the stats you posted, nothing seems worrying to me. But once again-get a bigger sample as this one is not too meaningful.

Thank you for taking time to reply.

So its not likely to get a positive result playing from the blinds?

I am working on a bigger sample, after resetting my previous stats.

Yes, I think I never had positive result on the blinds. Good luck with putting up more games!

Cheers!

Most of the players highest win is either on button or cutoff, that pretty much shows how important is position in poker, but when u are in small/big blind you are gonna lose most of the time so.
