DAY. Still it was pretty weird. Thought I'd just solved world's biggest mystery as I had a decent couple winning sessions in a row. Alas it was clearly the forces having a damn good giggling fit as they soon settled me back into consistant 50% below EVness on a constant basis. Today I messed around in hypers again having not played any for months. Started off well, then slammed a grand into the spunk bucket with a redline of 20%, mixed 6 and 9m abi $22 or so.
Turns out I've played 6.6k games this year with 5.5k at break even 50% below. This sort of thing is probably acceptable inhypers >$30 but in 18's it's a fucking travesty. Just sick to death of it.
When running bad for so long the inevitable question rises over and over again. Am I just shit? Well I'm confident I'm not. I'm confident if I was a mere average mortal with equal bad luck, I'd be losing a shit ton more than I am. So you go digging through your stats to find a light at the end of the tunnel, and I found one for this year in 180's.

Now I'm doing just great in $15/18's, and that's it. The card distribution and dynamics are a triiiiiiiiiillion miiiiiiiiiiiiiiles off of any higher stake. And it's nothing to do with regs at all, as of lately there's almost just as many in all the $15's as there is in the $30-60's. It's just a totally different game. It's the difference between golf and pacman, cricket and rock climbing, it's simply fucking amaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing, gob smackingly complete and utter total bullshit rigged controlled bullshit SHIT!!!!!!!!!!

Well currently I'm on parent duty for the school holidays so not playing much. What I have played for August (117 games) has started off as the usual loss at 100bb/100 below EV.

Amazes me how few players these comps get considering 80% of the friggin games are regs!! But obviously those regs are far more european than it used to be so maybe alot of them mightn't have even heard of 2+2. Or just consider the money up for stake too much...somehow.
The first week does coincide with a leg of the Genting Poker Series being at my nearest casino which I plan on attempting two satties to get into, as don't really wanna pay the full £400+40 entry. Sats are £50 so if I qualify it will be from 14th to the 18th of August (were I to survive that long) but still shouldn't effect the 3 week long comp too much. It's a team comp which I'm not keen on, the last one was bogan's scam job which I didn't get involved with thank chuff, but said afterwards the next comp should be singles only. For some reason these damn fish prefer team though, prob cuz they're all terrible and want someone else to boost their results. Whatever, piratos14 has put himself as captain and intends to pick me for a draft. Will at least be motivating if nothing else.

Man i know how is to run bad more than anyone. You need to be more realistic about life. Of course you wish to run in ev and have 50-60-70-80-x$s hr but this isnt going to happen. I dont believe this for me at least

So the 180 comp draft pick has gone down and we are definitely considered the huge underdogs. Me, piratos14 (captain), mikjii15 and s@muraiPlaya. Never heard of them (except pirate obv) and I guess whatever but obviously it's just a crapshoot over such short samples anyway. It's like a 1-2k game version of BOP or TLB. Comp starts tomorrow 5am my zone which having checked earlier saw all of 2 $3r's and 1 $8 running lol, so obviously peak times gonna be about the only times worth playing them.
First decent Sunday in...ever? It's a damn shame 1) the 180 comp doesn't include $60's and 2) that it didn't start today. I played two $60's and got 2nd and 1st :DDDDD The first game I came back from 1bb with 8 left lol. +$4.3k
