This is how I got knocked out

SB: chipleader KTs (spades)
BUT: Hero QJ

I limp on the button then the chipleader isolate with 2x
I call

Flop: J45 (two spades)

Chipleader bet 1/2 pot I pushed All-in and he hit his flush

I think it was too early to try this on the chipleader.
Any Q or J am pushing

I'd personally never limp in this spot. Limping is hardly ever a good idea, and I don't understand why you limped here.

Considering you have about 15bb, but effectively much less due to the antes, I'd just shove here pre. As played of course it's fine, but limp/call pre is pretty bad to be perfectly honest with you.

According to Nash you can shove here with:

22+ Ax+ K2s+ K9o+ Q6s+ QTo+ J7s+ JTo T7s+ T9o 96s+ 86s+ 75s+ 65s 54s

So that's a pretty wide range. Just shove here pre and hope for the best if you get called. If you just pick up the pot of course that's great as well, because you improve your stack by 20%!

Congrats on the deep run though :)

Kind regards,
Tino

Congratulations on your result!

As Tino already mentioned you shouldn't open limp in that spot. It's a standard spot for open pushing. Open raising would be fine as well if your opponents are very tight.

Open limping isn't a good idea in >99% of the spots. I personally do it very rarely under special circumstances. In general you shouldn't be open limping at all!

I would recommend reading our strategy articles and watching our videos on MTT's in order to improve your game. Also post hands in our hand evaluation forums!

If you have any further question feel free to ask!

Anyways I wish you better luck next time.

Regards,
Asaban

Thanks for your advice Tino and Asaban.

I was wondering what to do in that spot.
All I knew was that I am not suppose to fold that hand.

I have a lot more to learn about MTT
