Day 22 + 23

Goals of the week
(1) tooking up time: Had a great day yesterday. Played slow enaugh and took up my time for handreading, paying attention to betsizes.... Ok, there were some villains where I played very fast (bad passive). I feels great and I hope I will do it again in the future. No, I know it.
(2) instant handanalyse: Didnt considered this again and have to improve this much more.

Other matters
For every chess lover I can recommend chess network in english and Niclas Huschenbeth in german. You can improve your positional and tactical knowledge in practise.

hand of the day:
Villain was unknown. Is that a good or a bad bluff?

Day 24 + 25

Graph of the week

Summary:
I improved my game a lot and learned a some new things. For example I improved my game vs donkbets or cr. My goals (1) taking up time and (2) instand hand analyse didnt get enaugh attention. After the 21 day rule this will remain my goals for at least 1 month. I learn a lot when I mark problemhands and review them with gordon. I toke note of everything important and copy this into an excel file. Before I start a session I check my notes and try to integrate this things. Tomorrow I will start to play NL100.

Day 26 + 27

Goals of the week
(1) tooking up time: To improve this goal I will try 2 exercises. They last 1 hour and I changed them after 1 hours by the other. In the first hours I try to play by thinking deeply and take 3 seconds by feeling. After 1 hours I will count to 3 and than make an action without thinking deeply. I hoped that will improve my game.
(2) instant handanalyse: Yeah, yeah , nooo. Its hard but not impossible. I make small improvements and that is what it count.

Other matters
I had to make my computer more safely because something entered my computer. So I use spybot, comodo, avira and stinger. When you have any good program please tell me.

hand of the day:
villain was a bad player with some aggression. Would you have called, MR or even shoved the river?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (2 handed) - PokerStars Converter Tool from http://poker-tools.flopturnriver.com/Hand-Converter.php

Following your blog and your progress. Congratulations on a dedicated hard work and discipline, keep it on!

Computer stuff:
Regarding "other matters", I recommend just to keep some common sense and caution while opening some suspicious sites or attachments. No antivirus is 100% reliable. If you need to check some suspicious file, try it online with:
https://www.virustotal.com/en/

You might even want to use Sandbox, which creates isolated space in your computer, when fiddling with some programs (key-gens, shareware, browsing unsafe sites, etc..)

I personally use just Win7+MS Security Essentials. No problem so far at all. No need for all fancy pop-ups etc., which some of these programs create all the time (don't know if they still do).

Hand:
With second nuts, what can you miss? We are going for value only. If you go for MR and he shoves, you can't fold anymore.

You can just achieve your goals by discipline and hard work. Thanks for you recommendation with the virustotal. I will try this when I find some suspicious file. I created and virtual space (which is hidden) with a password.

Yeah, I should have raised and go broke.

Goals of the week
(1) tooking up time: Im improving more and more in the last 2 days. I started bad and was down 350 $ and 250 $ on both days. I stayed callm and took up my time. OK, vs bad passive I played fast without deep thinking. But vs everyone else I took up my time and considered all important thoughts. It feels much better to achieve your learning goals and loose than win and didnt achieve your goals.
(2) instant handanalyse:
I improve this goal very very slowly. But its an improvement and Im sure that I will manage this problem.

Other matters
Having a clear head is very important. So you have to go to bed early to be fit on the next day. There were some days where I had not enaugh sleep (some books are so thrilling and I cant stop reading them) and I had hard days after going to bed late. Now I try to be more disciplinated.

hand of the day:
Villain was bad player. On the turn I bet to make a 6 or worse and Air fold. Would you have barreled the river?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (2 handed) - PokerStars Converter Tool from http://flopturnriver.com/

Hero (SB) ($50)
BB ($52.28)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 5, 7
Hero raises to $1, BB calls $0.50

Flop: ($2) 6, 9, 2 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $1.50, BB raises to $3.50, Hero calls $2

Turn: ($9) 10 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $7, BB calls $7

River: ($23) A (2 players)
BB checks, Hero ?

Day 30 + 31

Graph of the week

Summary
This was the worst and best week I ever had (I lost 200 $ on NL100 ). My game improved every day by the coachings of gordon. The worsed week because I never run so much under ev and the best week in winnings I ever had.

To buy the heads up mastermind and apply for the coaching project were my best poker decisions I ever made. My redline is improving from week to week and almost positive. Im sure they will be in the winnings zone in the next weeks.

Before I bought a 2nd monitor as a addition to my laptop I was also not convinced that would be a good desicion. But its great I can open tables and move them on the 2nd monitor and when one villains want to play me move this tables on my laptop screen.

Goals of the week
The goals (1) tooking up time and (2) instant handhistory will also be my goals in the following week. I improved in both but not so much as planned. I will try my best to achieve them. I simply have to be patient.

you wrote that for unknow villian after 10hands you should evaluate if its a good customer;)
what if you have 5 unknown villians to choose from but you have lets say 3k hands on each one in your database.

whats stats would you look first? who would u play?

another bigup;)

I would choose the player who likes calling and is not very aggressive.

Goals of the week
(1) tooking up time: I was tired yesterday so I my concentration was not high to pay enaugh attention to this goal. Mostly I took up my time and played well. I improved and that is important.
(2) instant handanalyse: I cant do this intensively when I play not more than 2 tables. When I play more there is no time to do this. I tried my best and used this sometimes. Should do it more often.

Other matters
My poker skills are getting better and better every day. I make play I never made before. Mabe I will make a video in the near future.

hand of the day:
Villain was unknown. How would you have played the hand and why?

Day 34 + 35

Goals of the month
(1) tooking up time: Why is it important to take up your time. Let me quote it from "Secrets of No Limit Holdem - Danny Ashman". In poker its important to be constantly thinking and using your brain as much as you can. It is possible to play by shutting the brain off and going mainly on instinct (although this is still based on past experience). However your results wil be poor. Use your head as much as you can in a poker game. When your mind is focused 100 % on trying to play your best and thinking everything over you will learn a lot more than when you play average poker. When your main focus in poker is learning and getting better it forces you to put in maximum effort at the table which will help you learn and as side effect you will play better and win more money.
(2) instant handanalyse: To sum it up. I didnt pay enaugh attention to this thing and missed a lot of information. Al lot stuff to do for me in the future.

Other matters
I was pissed off yesterday because I was up about 550 $ and than lost everything vs 2 bad players. They hit everything. So I need a break and play some chess games so that I could relax. After that I played much better and could win about 250 $ back.

hand of the day:
Villain seemed to be bad passive with some aggressive moments. This was on of them. What would be your plan on turn + river?

Merge Network $0.25/$0.50 No Limit Hold'em - 2 players - View hand 2294704

Flop: ($2.00) 7 :diamond: 3 :diamond: 5 :spade: (2 players)

I prefer to raise to make better hands (7x,88) fold and worse call (draws). When villain shoves we should fold.

Graph of the week

Summary

Each week I learn small things and you can see this in my graphs. All winnings resulted by NL50. On NL100 I just play bad players (=good customers) but Villain hit everything. Its important to stay calm and made the right dicision which gives me the best EV.

Yesterday I thought intensively about handreading and how I use it while playing. I will try to simplify this process. I will take note of this prozess on paper. How do you use handreading while playing (structured, gut feeling,...)?

Nice blog!

Really nice results so far! I have a few questions for you if you don't mind:

1) Are all these results from NL50 HU ? (The weekly graphs)
2) Are you one tabling? Do you table select?
3) Where did you buy/find out about the HU course ?

Edit: Can you send me a friend request cause I cannot being beginner ?

Thanks!

(1) NL50 and NL100. When I would just post NL50 I would have won 4200 $ because I lost 500 $ on NL100.
(2) I prefer to play 2 tables. The were moments when I already played 5 tables. Biut that is too much for me.
(3) I liked the video series from Raskolnikov. I visited his homepage (bestpokercoaching) some times and was scared to buy the "heads up mastermind" course because it was expensive with 500 €. In april I asked IMACHAMPION and he told me that he would bought the course again when he would have 4000 $.

Graph of the month

Summary
That is my record month so far. More than 1500 $ than last month. I like it. I could implement a lot of things I learnt in the coachings und you can see the results. I will play NL200 in october. In september I will be in vacation for 2 weeks so I cant play much.

Day 40 + 41

Goals of the month
(1) tooking up time I was much better in tooking up time. By playing slower Im not so much stressed - the danger to go on tilt is lower. I have never observed this point from another focus.
(2) instant handanalyse: One of the most underrated goals. By instant handanalyse you can find villains leaks much faster and exploit them. Its still a leak and I have to work every day to become better and better.

Other matters
On the weekend we had a samba festival. We had a lot of fun and could hear drums and rhythms. It last 3 days. Her a small sample

hand of the day:
Villain seems to be tight (after 20 hands). What would be your turnplay?

Winamax, $0.50/$1 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 2 Players
Poker Tools by CardRunners - Hand Details

Hero (SB): $131.81 (131.8 bb)
BB: $84 (84 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with K A
Hero raises to $3, BB calls $2

Flop: ($6) 4 Q 2 (2 players)
BB bets $4, Hero raises to $12, BB calls $8

Turn: ($30) A (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $24, BB raises to $51, Hero?

villain is committed for sure and likes his hand.... if he seems tight there is not much you beat. it looks like 2 pairs or a set. I dont see many hands like AT or AJ making it to the turn ....
I think you are behind way more often than you are ahead. and even if the odds seem good, and he only has $10 or so behind so you are committing that much more. So IMO it's a fold

I already invested almost my half stack. And its not good to fold big hands in big pots. Maybe villain is raised worse and making spew. So I called and he showed 63 in hearts.

Goals of the month
(1) tooking up time Im getting satisfied with my development. I took up enaugh time for making decisions and you can see it on my results. Im also much more relaxed and dont get fast on tilt.
(2) instant handanalyse: Im getting better and better and my adaption vs villains leaks are much better. Unfortunately I dont always analyse big pots (particulary the big ones) and the result is a temporary tilt. Luckily it last not long.

Other matters
I changed my notesystem. I try to make it more simple. If you have any ideas that I can add please tell me. So here it is.
