Also, since i tried downloading the Awesome HUD v3 which didnt work, i decided to basically try copying that HUD and make it myself, which took me longer than it should of since im a HEM noob :)

Anyways heres my new HUD:

If anyone has any advice as to the HUD then as always please feel free, maybe i dont need all them stats, also i will try adding some colour coding to make it easier to see important stats since its basically just a wall of text atm.

NICE HUD!

So you have that on 2 panel onlsy? I would prolly separate the Sb and BB panels too. I am also looking into adding some Superturbo Shorstack HUSNG games (iPoker) most likely to my DoN sessions as I doubt I will get enough action on my $5.5 turbos to get in the volume i want. Thus am looking into making a hud with multible panels. Your hud looks just like something am looking to make but make it even more multipanel. Also will have to look into things like if its possible to have heros stats as minimal as possible so only have 2-3 panels from villian and only small general info panel for hero (liek coffeyay hud for PT4) as it is I know how I play and I adjust according to the villains so hero's stats are kinda useless. IIRC ther is something liek hide hers stats or something..gotta look into this incase am also adding HUSNG to my sessions. Eventually will be switching to them as the traffic on upper midstakes onwards will be slowing down to such low volumes its useless to grind them.

GL will be following!

Hey thanks!

The HUD is on 3 panels although its hard to see from that picture since i used to have the BB/SB panels close together, since then ive moved them side-by-side so my newer layout looks like this:

Spoiler

HUD isnt quite finished since i want to mess around abit with the font sizes and also add colour coding for every stat, but for the minute i have the main things sorted out, also i have Hero stats hidden if thats what your meaning, you can do this by going to HUD Options--> Config Properties--> No Hero HUD.

I have never tried the DoN SNGs but i can defo recommend these hypers, very soft and alot of fun to play, but watch out for rake as im not sure what rake %s are like on iPoker but theyre fairly low on stars.

Hi,
How long has it taken to build even to that stage? My goal for september is to rake atleast $500 by playing the $5.5 DoNs and if not enough traffic mix in $5.25 shortstack HU supers.

With my new rb dons are 4% and husng are 2% rake. Obviously given i can stay atleas breakeven which i do believe will be quite ez on this level. I estimate i should be near 10% roi with rb so around $500 profit month on september.

But in order to get good results my old HU hud needs a revamp and seeing your work I got pumped up for building one. Will be looking to make it something like coffeeyay's hud obviously need to find the stats from HM2 as well as possible. Thanks for your tips! GL on the tables! Incase you have soem tips you battled out with something and found the way to do it plz share

Hey,

The HUD took me about 2 hours but im abit of a HEM fish :f_biggrin:

The hardest thing when making it was sorting out the abbreviations for each stat, for example the first stat is SB VPIP, so my abbreviation was "SMALL BLIND -- Preflop | VPIP:" if you get what i mean, if not feel free to ask.

My HUD still isnt finished, im trying to create an extra panel to place at the top of the table with effective stack sizes, but all i can find are villian stack sizes, which doesnt really help when im shorter stacked than villian.

Anyways gtg for now, gl

Had my toughest day since starting HU SNGs, i ran terribly, ran into the top of peoples ranges it seems all day, and tbh i did tilt a little bit towards the end, onwards and upwards tomorrow, makes me pretty much BE at 3.50s after today which sucks..

Played some more 3.50s today and more of the same tbh, find it hard to believe theres such a big difference between 1.50s and 3.50s, but anyway:

Total 1.50s graph:

Anddd total 3.50s:

Think more studying is needed and then if this continues may have to drop back to 1.50s

Did some studying to refresh my game today, since i had gotten a little lazy and since im new to hypers i forgot some basic stuff and i was making some fundamental errors, anyway heres today:

Much happier with the EV winnings but tiny sample so..

Struggling atm with calling open shove ranges at for example 12bb effective, 10bb and 8bb, need to know these basic ranges and how to adjust vs certain opponents.

12bb depends on villain shove range, pick cards that have at least 46% equity vs his whole shoving range. your risking 11 bb to win 24 bb = 45.83% min eq needed
10bb = few bbs tigher than nash
8bb = few bbs tigher than nash

Hey,

When you say few bbs tighter than nash, so for example nash calling range says to call Q6s 10bbs or less, so u recommend i call the range for 12bbs? So like Q9s+ Q8o+?

Sorry if my questions are very basic im new to hypers

Yeah the 12bbs range seems ok. Abit tigher if villain is shoving tight.

Ahh ok that makes sense, thanks! :)

Wondering to myself how big the skill gap can be between the 1.50s and 3.50s, atm im seeing like a 11% difference in my roi when i compare them, small samples but surely my EV should be going up for 3.50s i would imagine.

Heres 1.50s overall:

And 3.50s:

Think i should drop down and make 1.50s my main game again until i can beat the 3.50s comfortably :)

there shouldn't be noticeable difference, even if avg person is somehow better than your roi most likely anyway would be same because rake % is smaller.

Basically if you can crush fish than you could already beat up to 15s with little adjustments, 30s is first level where you have to be ok

Yeah i think im definitely struggling vs fish, i seem to struggle most against fish at both extremes, i fold too much vs super aggro fish and before i know it ive got 10bbs, or i struggle vs fish that limp 100% because i try stab alot of pots with air and they call down.

this is maybe too general to identify my leaks so i will post some hands:

Here villian is basically unknown:

Poker Stars, $3.40 Buy-in (10/20 blinds) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 2 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

Hero (BB): 630 (31.5 bb)
SB: 370 (18.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q T
SB raises to 40, Hero calls 20

Flop: (80) K 5 9 (2 players)
Hero checks, SB bets 40, Hero raises to 85, SB calls 45

Turn: (250) K (2 players)
Hero checks, SB checks

River: (250) 3 (2 players)
Hero bets 120, SB raises to 245 and is all-in, Hero folds

Results:

Spoiler

490 pot
Final Board: K 5 9 K 3
Hero mucked Q T and lost (-245 net)
SB mucked and won 490 (245 net)

I think donking flop is probably the best option here? But c/raising is also OK i think, however im unsure whether to fire turn since slowplayed Kx never folds, 9x isnt folding, maybe 5x folds im not sure, when he checks back turn im thinking he likely has 9x or 5x so decide to bluff river, so my line makes no sense.

Next hand is a smaller pot, is this standard bet/fold here, villian checkraise is 47 (7).

Poker Stars, $3.40 Buy-in (10/20 blinds) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 2 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

BB: 510 (25.5 bb)
Hero (SB): 490 (24.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 9 4
Hero raises to 40, BB calls 20

Flop: (80) 6 J 9 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets 40, BB raises to 470 and is all-in, Hero folds

Results:

Spoiler

160 pot
Final Board: 6 J 9
BB mucked and won 160 (80 net)
Hero mucked 9 4 and lost (-80 net)

Last hand: Is this a snap call?

Poker Stars, $3.40 Buy-in (10/20 blinds) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 2 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

Hero (BB): 570 (28.5 bb)
SB: 430 (21.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 6 5
SB raises to 40, Hero calls 20

Flop: (80) T 5 4 (2 players)
Hero checks, SB checks

Turn: (80) J (2 players)
Hero bets 40, SB calls 40

River: (160) J (2 players)
Hero checks, SB bets 120, Hero folds

Results:

Spoiler

160 pot
Final Board: T 5 4 J J
Hero mucked 6 5 and lost (-80 net)
SB mucked and won 160 (80 net)

QTx hand, what will fold vs your CR, do you CR for fold equity? because you have not enough equity to do it for value. Gutshot or backdoor straights, chance to catch better pairs than 9x hands? why river bluff? any reads before? I think you overplayed this hand. If hes a fish then he will call with any pair your bluff.

About donking: I prefer donking with better draws and low made hands if villain tends to CB<60% on flop

My line in here would be: call pre, call flop, x/give up turn or river

94s hand OK imho.

65s hand
i prefer donk on flop 35% of pot size, 2Barrel river (50% of pot) to increase villains fold equity.

we have made hand + backdoor straight .... fold on flop CR

Best regards. :)

Regarding this, I think the theory of Nash being too loose vs open shoves is mistaken. Whilst the calling ranges do rely on villain playing precisely Nash, it also relies on them open shoving all of this range. We know that in general people aren't shoving as wide as Nash, but we also know they aren't open shoving hands like JJ+ 10bb deep, they're doing other things with them. So in general I think we should be calling Nash as it all balances out. Obviously this is only in readless situations (Of which there shouldn't be many of 10bb deep unless we get there in only a few hands).
