Hey Patrick!Just saw your video on the sb and bb ranges, very cool!
At the beginning of this thread you said that you never flat from the SB as you like to have initiative. Did you change your mind?
Also, how do we make money when we flat oop? What is our standard gameplan against an unknown nl2-5-nl10 zoom or regular table? We never 3bet PP according to the charts you showed on that video, why?
I played a bit of iPoker NL5 Speed Poker and I found the field REALLY tight and a lot of SSS that 3bet all-in a lot (their range is something like 66+, A2s+, A6o+, I dont know for sure). How do I adjust against them? Opening my call-to-3bet range against them? Calling range?
When SB flat calls you say we should squeeze more from the blinds, what range do you suggest?
Last question.. but most important! ♦ Can you provide us with a clear openraising chart and how to react (call, 3b/5b, 3b/f) vs open raise and limps (unknown opponents)?
Thanks, I really appreciate your effort and passion

Hey whats up Rothko?
At the moment I am experimenting with the never flat from the SB strategy and it working pretty well, I like playing 3bet pots and think regs play poorly in them.

Hi pleno1!Curious as to your thinking on the contest hand. When you bet the turn, are you betting for value or are you betting only to set your self up for the river check raise bluff? Good hand btw.

pre, sizing seems good
Is this a rainbow board completely? pretty interesting river spot.
Its super hard for villain to have a good hand here, I expect him to check back kx otr, sometimes bet ax otf and maybe not even value bet ax otr and when he does, probably bets a little smaller.
Im not sure which hands we are trying to get to fold if were bluffing, as played i dont think he folds ax.
For value, I would just bet the flopas standard, the only thing I can see you having for value is AA

Hi Patrick,I was wanting to ask about expanding our 5b range.
Say my default is QQ+ AK and against a lag who I've noticed 4b/f against my 5b what would be the next hand you'd add to the range? Would it be JJ-TT, has the most equity against a calling range, or something like A5s, which has a little less equity but a good blocker.
Hey Peche, whats up boss?
I would generally, go for pairs that have bad playability, perhaps small pocket pairs where youre going to fold to a lot of flops. We can also go for suited aces too, they are preferable because we have a blocker to him having his main value hands.
If we think he calls a lot of 3bets too, we can 3bet hands like aj that we would normally call but then just go with the hand when he 4bets as we think hes funky enough.
Example
Villain is super splashy, peels a bunch and 4bets a bunch
He opens button and we have AJ and 3bet for pure value
He will often peel a dominated range
He 4bets this time and we know he is very splashy, so whilst we are not getting any better hands to fold, nor getting better hands to fold we still go with the hand.

Oh, I though you were the hero in the hand! Guess not. Guess The Hand & Win Cash!
Anyways I liked the hand who ever was the hero. I believe villain did fold AT-AQ. I would also probably fold it - chr on the river looks super strong and we rep all sets except 888 and also Aces up, which are unlikely to be in villains range as played. But I am still super curious as to the plan when betting on the turn because it seems like we are 100% value cutting ourselves, so it only makes sense if its a setup for the river chr bluff.

So so sorry if there was an answer to this already, but where i can find those Gameplan preflop ranges??
They are in strategy section, NL content. You have to be a platinum member to have an access to those though.
Hey Patrick, thanks for the reply above, this thread has so much info I'm going to try read all your posts over the next well....however long it takes me ![]()
I have one question about your HUD, how come you use PFR by position rather than RFI, doesn't RFI give us a better indication of villians range for a given spot?
Hey Pleno1,
Whats up?
Quick question for you, do you have a starting hands chart/position that you could post for using in 6max games? Ive been using a FR chart and widening it a little bit. It seems to be working out alright but I would like to get an actual 6max chart from the 6max master.
Also, do you have a 3b/position chart that you could share as well?
Thanks
I'd really like to catch your coaching today but unfortunately can't make it, is there a way for me to watch it later on?

Hello Pleno1 ![]()
I've been playing poker for 1 year or so, but never took it so serious, that until I discovered this thread. I've read the first 20ish pages or so and found really, really interesting stuff to apply on my game. First, I wanted to thank you because your thread was the key for me to start studying the game and really taking it seriously, by reading it I've improved my winrate from 5bb/100 to 28/100 over 7k hands sample ♦
Second, I would like you to analyse this hand that I've played. (I don't know how to import hands so I just exported it from hm2 viewer and will copy paste the text)

This is NL5 Zoom
Preflop:
On preflop CO raises and I flat because he had 38% raise from there and his 3bet fold was low, so I though that 3beting 107s from btn wouldn't be a great idea since he wouldn't fold much and I would find myself in marginal spots in a already big pot. I didn't expect the sb to flat, actually had low hands on him like 30 or so and the actual tagging of holdemmanager was "Rock" on that player
Flop:
Here they both check and I think that none of them have TPTK because If I had it I would like to defend from possible draws, so I bet around 40% of pot expecting some calls from pocket pairs, flats with Ax and TPBK. "Rock" player flats and the initial preflop agressor folds. Now I put him on a pocket because I don't think that a "Rock" player would call low Ace hands out of position and would defenately 3bet an AQ or something like that preflop, even tho I had low hands on him.
Turn:
Here comes my doubs, "Rock" check-raises my bet. I think for a while what he could have, only 3 hands came to my mind K9, 78 and 99. 78 and K9 was really unlikely since he had a tag "Rock" and wouldn't play those kind of hands specially OOP, plus I had a 7 blocker so it just made no sense for the 78. So 99 it is. I thought, "Ok, I'm beaten, better fold." But then I've remember of the concept Implied odds and made some fast mental calculations. I call expecting him to call a shove on river. And, luckily that's what happened ♦
River:
I hit an out, he checks and I shove.
My doubt is about the implied odds stuff, by my calculations I had a rougly 25% odds on that turn, I had to call 1,1 dollar of that raise to win 3.8 plus the dead money that is on the pot.
To make this play +EV he had to have more money?
Are the sizings ok?
Should I have folded on turn because I had almost no info on that player?
Is my review of the hand wrong?
Thanks in advance, and good luck on the tables ![]()

Hehe
Just found out the Hand viewer thing, I was double clicking hands on Active session tab before :B
Hey pleno. Cant wait for todays coaching session, but i know that twitch isnt working so is it going to be an alternative?
Hi, ive just watched your training session today and i have to say you're doing really good job and hope you keep going!
I have a question about your HUD and what does each shortcut mean. A brief explanation of what does each statistic mean in game would be nice too. Thx in advance!
