The 180 comp is close at the top. If we volumed more we'd walk all over target's team, so just hoping we can put in more games. I'm still not right after 14 days illness but each day is tiny improvement.
Today I won an epic HU battle in a $15 with some regfish called bomberpaul who was extra irritating to play against but fortunately AA held vs JTs on a T98 flop ftw. I was then CL in the next with 11 left, and exited 11th. AA ran into the mighty Q2s for a flush on their side, then still with 10bbs left at bb2k TT lost to AJ on a TQx flop. The very next game exactly the same, 35k chips at bb2k with 10 left, exit 10th. Huge wastes these are, really massive. In this one a fish decided 3xing KK was the norm and tarped me into shoving 99. Last but one day of 180 comp and of course the obvious happens:

So I've played even less this year despite wanting to play more. Whatever, I'm $8k ahead on last year, a little less than I wanted but only myself to blame for that.
I don't think I even need to speak for anyone reading this know EXACTLY what I'm gong to say about the final 180 session of the comp. It's just plain fucking ridiculous. I completely and utterly ANNIHILATED any previous records, getting up to 300 showdowns at 500bb/100 below EV. A simply astounding feat I challenge ANYONE ON EARTH to dig up out of their databases. They simply wouldn't be able to, because my account is the most runbad in history, not even close.
Now I'm not exaggerating when I say literally ZERO flops didn't have an Ace on them. I had 10 sets of Queens in a row hit vs me when I was ahead either pre or on the flop, 10 in a row, anyone know the odds for that? The 11th QQ I came up against was vs my AA and rivered a straight. So 11 straight fuck overs by QQ when I'm ahead pre or flop. Just miraculous impossible bullshit. And of course, goes without saying, everyone of my QQ vs AQ's lost, twelve Aces in each window.
I first started a blog in 2009 and right from the very start I was cursing away the runbad, achieving a 330 bi downswing all the way back then, and even more crazy, most of the games were STT's. Whilst my skills weren't like they are now and that perhaps I MIGHT have been able to spare much of that downswing today, I can honestly say as the years have gone by, and as I've quoted more and more record shatterments month by month by month right up until this very day, I can safely say those records get bigger and bigger and bigger, with no end in sight. And you think it's because there's less and less fish????

Yh 20% (your ceiling ROI) is absofknlutely terrible in 180's. $5/game is sustainable in $3r's, that's a complete doddle.
We didn't win the 180 comp, pretty sure we would have if one of our team mates who played like 300 games would've played more, and myself who was (and still is) ill throughout. I FT'd the last $15 that anyone played and got coolered to shit as 3rd stack v CL with like 8 left LOLOLOL. That alone might've made the difference because as of yet the true results still haven't been posted. The money's been shipped to hennerz team but the tournament parser guy who did all the audits is still yet to post the ACTUAL proper results as he cocked them up, and was only enlightened to it by myself. Stands to reason.
Even with the correction though it's 98% they won. Deserved it. We still stuffed movin.target's team playing 100% less games than them. In fact, collectively over the other 5 teams, they averaged something like 10% ROI in 30k or so games. Just shows the standard of 180s regs these days, MUCH worse than they were pre BF that's for sure.
So today I jumped back into some 18's, warmed up with 24 bricks, 5400% below EV. It's hilarious to watch this just never ever ever letting up. BOP? What's that? Think I glanced at it twice in 3years.
Another fanfuckintastic day in the 18's then, making it around 20 solid months of running like aids in them.
A $15 180 win helped it stop being a -$1k day. Bored to death would be an understatement.

7th losing/BE day from 9 played in September. Nothing changes, still nearly 100% below every single day, it's just fucking boring. 20th month now of running like hell, with that octoboer 2011 to feb 2012 half decent RUNNING TO EV NOT HOT spell, and then the previous 8yrs to that hell aswell. Soon will be into my 11th consecutive year of running like hell.
Not that it's exactly new but I did have a not so bad August and July so this arriving now is terrible timing as my rent contract is up as of end of August. Wait, that's gone then. I need $5k up front, virtually don't have it, not spare anyway. So lucky then that I'm leaving this place to move in with a friend and halve my outgoings (whew)!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If it wasn't for that I really would be up shit creek.
I still find it hard to volume, really, really, REALLY hard, with this perma hell just never letting up. It's still roughly 70% losing days on the entire year, so that's 70% depressed, really unhealthy, it's already made me ill for a whole month in August. I've been doing more to try and sort that stress, adopting deep breathing techniques just about as often as I remember such a thing exists. Trying to deploy it during playing aswell, constantly noticing I'm so tense playing that I'm virtually hovering off the bed as a stiff board, barely even breathing.
Today has been a spell back at the 6m hypers again, mostly 30's with some 60's in there if not reg infested. Not a single shove uncalled, not a single Ax didnt find AX waiting, not a single 99 didnt have TT waiting, not a single Ace didnt flop unless ofc I was holding one and if I was then I'm obv outkicked by better one, not a single bvb I'm not dominated, not a single fuck it I'm getting 2 to1 gotta call isnt 30-70 dominated, not a single hmmmmmm marginal shall I shan't I? call made wasn't 30-70 dominated, simply amazing amzing AMAAAAAAAAAAAAAZINGLY ASTOUNDING NON REALITY....just constantly...forever.

Just a continuous barrage of nothing but pure impossible hell. Since 15th I'm 220% below EV for 350 showdowns, around 120 games bricked and -$1800. What I see on my screen would be enough to kill any sane person, KILL THEM STONE DEAD BY SIGHT!!! I'm obviously insane. Of course I am.
Well this week I move to a friend's who runs his own car garage. I'm thinking about working for him and quitting poker. not because I can't win, not because I'm not the best in the world by miles, but because I am physically being attcked illegally and cheated.
Am playing about 20mins a day on average now and just being killed every single hand. Bricked about the past 60 18mans barring a couple min cashes, this is without doubt, regardless of how much money I've made, the single most miserable cunting poker year of my existance. Just never stops.
So, barely played much at all since last post but had a nice little boost just in the nick of time in just 7hrs of play for December. I had to take all my bonus at the end of November btw, pretty much equates to about $8k rb on the whole year.
So, considering the terrible year I've had, I haven't come off too badly. I've played 7hrs in December and am up $5k. First off I took 2% of frenzuh who went on to get 2nd in an FTOPS for $60k (shame it wasn't a bigger event),I saw £1100 profit from the whole package. Then I played two days of 3hr sessions and got 1st, 2nd, 2nd in $35 180s. Sweet. The first 2nd place was HU v pessagno. Me and him were both CL's from the get go at the FT. Watching him play was simply unbelievable. He lived up to all the hype people rave on about him, and which I've seen with my own eyes over the years from him. He raises almost literally 100% of hands, and each and every time he's looked up he doesn't fail to have a hand. Utterly incredible. One hand at the FT with about 5 or 6 left the SB rejammed 10bbs on his MP open with 92o, pessagno obviously had QQ LOLLLLLL. Miraculously for a change the elimintations went smoothly (probably cuz he was at the table so ty for that) and I managed to pwn him in one hand bvb whereby I called his river big bet on a 4 flush board with a 7 of the suit, he had a 3 lol. But HU sucked, I lost most chips calling down A high which was pretty poor but it didn't matter really, I would've lost no matter what, literally world's worst running player vs world's best.
The 2nd 2nd that I got was much more painful. Starting as CL with not much in it, I was up against a whale who couldn't fucking miss. TP every hand I ended up down to 20k vs his 250k. Amazingly I came back though to be CL 150k v 120k and STIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLL lost in what felt like 9hrs of HU!!!

Most of my money was defo made from 180's, making only about 5.6% ROI in 4k 18s which totalled roughly around 40% below EV. That's the reassuring part of it, knowing that my run terrible ROI is about on par with even the highest ROI reg in 18's for last year, except their samples must be big enough to have evened out EV.

Now there's already plenty of 2014 blogs started on 2+2, before December's even out. It's pretty interesting to see a fair few 18m regs going for 40k+ games, SNE and the like. Looking at the leaderboards the most games played this year is nearly 50k games 4lakers44 and sooo tilted, but then mastronick is blocked I think so he may have played more. Total profit of around $55k is roughly the same as 2012 and 2011, but pretty sure with considerable more games played, confirming ROI drops as each year goes by.
Once again I'm feeling motivated to say I'd love to really knuckle down next year, I mean if I could find the strength to do the hours players like sooo tilted and mastro do I know for a fact I'd run away with profit and it would be higher than most previous years. But I think we all know by now that even if I PROMISED to do 8hrs a day at least 5 days a week it simply isn't going to happen ;D
Also I couldn't just stick with 18's given that I love 180's so much, there would have to be a similar 60-40 split that I had with them this year. That said I could still be well up there even then if the hours were put in.
Pretty sure I've said multiple times this year that I'm flat out gonna quit poker at the end, I think everyone knows I'm simply venting with stuff like that. Even if I wanted to get a different job there's no way we can get anything close to salaries that are possible in poker evenif I just played $3r 180's exclusively!!
Anyway December isn't quite over yet, I'll no doubt play a little more before the 31st and I may even be back to gloat some more and add to the graph but if I only lose then it shouldn't be a great deal because I obv won't volume anything. Will just be a few 180s and MTT's, might play the yearly Million or whatever it's called.
2014 has started out exactly as the past decade has....HELL!!!!!!!!! Simply undescribable unbleievable impossible hell. Not a sinnnnnnnnnnnnnnngle pp do I have without a bigger one waiting. Not a sinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngle AQ doesnt have AK waiting, or even a single AK beats an AQ, not a sinnnnnnnnnnngle A4 v A5 is split, not one...NOT!!!! ONE!!!!!!!!!!! It's fucking absolute insanity. never ever ever ever ending, 25th solid month of runterri in 30 18s. I have without a shadow of a doubt THE NUTWORST card distribution of any player on this fucking planet not even close.
