Hello all,

I'm CPallo from Finnish community. I already have a blog here on English forums (CPallo's new journey as a Staff member - taking shots on NL50), but now I'll start a whole new project. I'm making a $400 WCOOP deposit to stars and will play NL25 in the beginning. September is a good month to grind a new level, too, so I'm setting myself a goal to become NL50 reg. Listed below are all the goals I'm aiming for:

:spade: From NL25 --> NL50 and become some sort of a semi-pro

:spade: Play at least 30k hands/month, but aim for 50k+

:spade: Play 5 times a week and start sessions well prepared - aim for at least $400 profits!

The project will start on September and last for a month. I'll be posting weekly graphs here and I will share some thoughts about my own game, hands and results. Stay tuned, folks!

Hi, I am also doing a similar thing, playing 40k+ hands in profit at NL25 this month and hopefully moving up if conditions permit. I already have a bet with a friend as incentive so I don't wanna bet more, but will check in here and provide some friendly competition if you want :f_biggrin:

I might join you guys as well... I will need to withdraw most of my bankroll this month again so hopefully I will ahve enough left for NL25 and hoping to go back up at the end of the month to NL50...

my monthly target will be a lot smaller this month. I have been pushing it a bit this month with over 30K hands on PKR and I am starting a new job in the middle of hte month so I am aiming at just 10K hands for september but twice your WR _evil:

Tough guy But if You join Jokerstars and play zoom getting more hands is easy. Though the WR is usually a lot smaller _mad:

Hopefully you can make it to NL50, too

Are you playing zoom? If so, surely 30k hands will be a breeze right?

I will start with zoom at least, but can't guarantee that I'll play it for whole month. In the beginning of this month I will have many activities at my University that will most likely reduce the amount of hands, so I might have to catch up later

Deposit day will be tomorrow... Until then!

First day:

Spoiler

Oh good, the run was absolutely horrible  ... No need to explain even Flips didn't hit, Kings ran into aces, then twice some random fish puts AI on flop as a 90 - 10 dog, but turn already brought the wonder card... Le Fü

On my last message I told you about my first day of the project,

I LIED!

I made my deposit today, coz my account didn't want to get the money in before, so sorry about that and lets move on to

DAY 1

At the beginning of the day my own play was a bit sticky as it had been for last 2-3 days I'd played. I made a small session review after 200 hands - nothing special that leaked me, but I just got bad beats there. No can do, but I noticed that I should avoid raising flops with practically no equity. After review my run started to get a bit better and then, with selected aggression, my game got better! Hah. Lesson: Make session reviews once in a while.

Giraffee:

Then some problematic hands, I think...

1. This hand caused me a lot of headache. Villain had been very aggro monkey and raised cbet 3/4 in positions. Again, he made the same move and I called. On river it was a must call as nothing paired up and flush busted, but still, I hated doing it as it could have made my great session into a break session. Other stats that supported my decision were cbet 100 % in every street and W$SD value, which was 60..

BTN showed 8 9 and lost (-$21.15 net)
Hero showed A T and won $40.73 ($19.58 net)

2. This hand... I was facing a fish and a potential nit. I think that the 3-bettor wouldn't do it with tens, maybe not even with a hand like JJ or QJ. His fold to 3-bet stat was high, so I didn't cold 4-betted him as it would seem like KK+ and would drive the fish away. Flop is nice and guy cbets - I think he is rarely bluffing here. Especially on quite scary turn where he decides to overpot it. So his range really is now JJ or QQ+ there. Had to think for a while, but decided to catch his bet as I'm most likely ahead of him and the fish might even join the party with weaker hand as he won't (most likely) have sets when he played flop so passively.

Decided to update this all for the whole weekend, so days 2-4 are in the same package.

First of all, my own game.. It has been quite good, but no run at all The flush hits way too often on river and villains are more likely to hit a card than I am. It seems like. And I get coolers all over the place :f_ugly: . Today I had many hands where I got coolered, but all-in-all, results had been positive!

Giraffee for this weekend:

So horrible run.. Luckily got already 30d from that WCOOP bonus, so not that big deal. Also, I managed to play myself 100d from a tournament, so good month so far.

I post here some awesome hands that made me semi-rage in my mind but I still kept my game going

1. Villain equaled monkey, raised cbets all the time and so on. I was happy on turn but shouted :rage: on dat river... Lol

Hello,

I just found this blog and I will follow now too.
It is always nice to make some sort of a challenge to be more motivated at the tables and grind some more.

Good luck from me!

Well, I do have enough roll on NL50, however, I think that my mental development is not as advanced as my basic game I'm still a bit afraid to lose more than 2 bin, coz even 50d losses are like 1/10 of my current monthly income. So I'm not in a hurry, yet.
