Breaking Bad returns this week (Thread includes spoilers)

Regarding Jane's death. The way I saw it is that Walt wanted to save Jesse from continuing his junkie ways and he saw Jane as bad influence on him so he decided it's best if she'd die so he could take care of Jesse.

To him Jesse was like his family member, like a son he can share his criminal side with. Don't believe that he wanted Jane dead just so Jesse could cook with him again.

Regarding, "they would've figured it out where the money is anyway". Most likely, still why help them and lose the leverage when by not saying it you get the chance of them not figuring it out.

I'm not so sure if Walt comes back in the end to save Jesse. I was thinking what'd be interesting is if they made us believe so, and then he'd just come back just for revenge and kill Jesse too.

Why "come back to save Jesse" when he :

a) Told the guys he was hiding under the car
b) Was ready to watch him die, until Todd interviened
c) Told Jesse he watched Jane die, making him his worst enemy.

Totally aggree with you. But I don`t think that Walt will be able to kill Jesse after he`s lost his whole family and is also responsible for Hanks death. Walt is just not THAT kind of a psychopath. You can also see this, as he takes all the blame on himself when he calls his wife so his family is save. Even though she let him down.

I see 3 possible endings.

1. WW blasts all the bad guys. Final stand-off between Jesse and WW. Western style draw, we hear gunshots, fade out. We don't know who dies.
(probability 10%)

2. WW blasts all the bad guys. Finds Jesse in chains. Points gun at him but cannot do it. Turns around, but Jesse was fake-chained, pulls a gun and we hear a gunshot. Fade out.
(probability 40%)

3. WW blasts all the bad guys. Final stand-off between Jesse and WW. Lydia comes out of nowhere, has both at gunpoint. She decides she need one cook. We hear a gunshot, fade out. We don't know who dies.
(probability 50%)

If we'd get a fade out in the end and end up not knowing who died. I would find Vince Gilligan and do things to his anus that he can't even conceive of.

Since all that happened, Walt has lost everything. He no longer has the money, the power or his family. I think this new broken shell of a man will be coming back to put right some of his previous wrongs, one of which being saving Jesse (who still may kill Walt, and Walt probably wont try and stop him).

Unfortunately only an hour long if you discount commercials.

I had a really strong inkling that Gretchen and her fella would be included in the 'stuff he has to do'.

Great episode, obv slow compared to the last one, but some amazing scenes.

Walt trying to intimidate Saul, but keeling over.
Andrea getting killed.
Walt Junior on the phone.
The final scene obv.

I'm very keen for the show to end now, I'm glad it is ending rather than them trying to spin out more, because it has a chance to end almost as a perfect show, which will raise the bar higher for future shows.

However, the only thing I wish we had more time for was Todd, as he is developing into a very interesting character.

Totally agrree with you Barry. This episode was the perfect run-up for a great finale. The last scene when they said on TV that the guy they once knew is dead and Walters reaction was just epic. ♦

That theme song at the end, so perfect

Such an unbelievably satisfying ending. I was so nervous it would be shit and they knocked it out the park.

Laser scene was the best, so happy Badger and Skinny Pete made it in the final.

All the loose ends tied up.

I would have bet my house it would have been a 'everybody dies' ending with no happy endings, in fact I would have bet my house it was a Heisenberg ending, but it was a Walter White ending, he even used science.

Vince Gilligan has thrown down the gauntlet, IMO best show ever, but even if you don't think its the greatest, it has to be the best final season of a show ever.

I can't believe we had such a happy ending; everyone got what they wanted.

Jesse's free, Skyler/kids are sorted for money, Gretchen/Elliot are under Walt's thumb, Nazis are dead, someone FINALLY got Ricin'd, and most fittingly of all Walter will go down as the legend he always wanted to be.

I really liked the end, tho I was expecting walter to try his premium product at the end.

Ok finale, but previous eps felt much much stronger. Still GOAT show tho.

What the hell, am I the only one who is completely disappointed by the finale? Soooo happy ending american obvious style. I was expecting Gilligan to come up with something unique. Instead he kills all the bad guys, WW dies by accident (but we don't actually see him pronounced dead, so they can always pull something out of the hat here.)

Things I really hated:
1. The way he kills the bad guys. Can we really believe all of them gather in that small room like a bunch of retarded maggots? I mean they're Nazis but they didn't seem retarded until right now. And they search him like 5 times but they let him drive in with his own car that could very well contain a bomb or smth?

2. I really expected someone to kill WW. The way he dies is really lame, it's almost like they went out of they're way to avoid picking a character to kill him.

3. They didn't need to show Lydia in the final scene. The way she poured stevia into her drink was more than enough. And they shot WW playing with the ricin like 100 times. We're not idiots, we get it.

4. Jesse is the only one who survives and drives into the night. I mean c'mon he's clearly the good guy, so he wins? That's so lame I can't even begin to say anything about it. It would have been so much cooler if Todd or Lydia would get to walk away from it all as the last survivor.

The previous episode was so much better. The scene when Andrea gets killed is my all around favorite.
