$12k is much better and I am fine with it but I do insist on slightly larger amount, $15k where LT3 will have $2k.
Let me explain my rational.
The EV for a stake of 12k games 50/50 60s/100s at 2.5%/1% roi is $15000. ( I am not 100% sure that 2.5% is the actual roi of lt3 for 60s but it should be close)
Therefore if we do this stake for unlimited times we expect lt3 to have a $15000 profit for each block on average if he has an unlimited bankroll.
However if he has a limited bankroll he might hit the stop-loss limit and the block will end which means we can't realise the EV of the stake.
As a result as his bankroll for the stake increases there is a decreased probability of hitting the stop loss limit and therefore we increase the probability of realising the EV of the stake
For example we could do the same stake with $1k bankroll where we would risk/invest less money but most likely lt3 will hit stop loss limit due to swings
I am suggesting 15k since avg buy-in is $80 and thus LT3 will have close to 200 buy-ins for the stake which will be enough cope with variance
In addition, the current stake is close to 12k profit and if we assume that it ends at +$12k then all existing backers will have a 200% profit for their investment.
As a result, someone who invested $600 (10%) will now have $1800. He can withdraw his initial investment of $600 and invest the rest ($1200) in the new stake which will be represent ~8% of the stake. In essence an existing backer will be free rolling the new stake But with a bigger bankroll, there is a smaller chance of lt3 busting the bankroll due to swings 
In conclusion, if we increase the stake to $15k we will be investing a larger amount where the expected return is at least 100% and the risk of losing our investment is significantly smaller
