Hey,
Did you try HEM1's internal beta? I'm using version 1.13.02 and it's working fine at zoom.

I thought I was using it but apparently I had 1.13.01!!! Thanks for the comment!
btw guys, I have HM2 but still prefer HM1. Partly because HM2 was really unstable for me.

hand 1, meh... I prefer c/c and c/r the turn if you hit your BD or if your hand improve to a gutshot or something.hand 2 I would definitely call the shove. hands like AJ, AT, are still in a fish range, and as you said a few draws but also some bluffs. I think you have enough equity to call.
hand 3: meh, but it shows perfectly the advantage of position. You do not have stats but do you take notes on villain calling A8o in 3bet pots?.
hand 4, I soooo call vs unknown; you are not that deep. I haz a flush! I call
Why don't you invest in a decent HUD and increase your WR?
Hand 1: So we C/C flop handing villain some equity share and then get to C/R turn If we turn our draw And he bets again? Seems like a lot of things have to go right for us to do that, why do you prefer this line?
Hand 2: I knew it was a massive hero-fold at the time and that If I would post it on the forum the reply would be 'easy snapcall' but I just could not convince myself his range was what people would think it was so I went with my gut feeling.
edit: Happy to admit the community is probably right on this one ♦
Hand 3: Nope, not making any notes, specially on such a note I would have my hands full of making notes rather than actually focusing on the situations at the tables. Its highly -ev but despite developing a cool note-taking system I don't actually read my notes and when I make them I lose focus on the hands I'm playing.
Hand 4: Not sure if this is a joke or not.
Thanks for taking the time to read my challenge

haha thanks for your reply
hand 1: I prefer this line because with no info on villains you are playing in the dark. what range do you put him in for a min 3bet OTF? what range do hope folding OTF, and what changes on the river? If I pick up some equity I am happy to go for it but otherwise I keep the pot small
hand 2: it is just vs unknown you have to play much more with absolute hand strength in a way as you can not reduce their range as much as if you had reads and info on villains
hand 3: by not taking note you are losing on massive info but fair enough
hand 4: see hand 2 no joke I call without blinking. I wont be right 100% of the time but I believe I am right often enough
PS I am a station

Well, my time limit is up! Thanks for following me, sorry my updates were so sporadic. I might actually post some hands I think I played well rather than just ones I played badly along with the graph!
......
Sooon! muahahahaha
Hello everyone. My Challenge officially finished at the end of September so I shall post the garfs.
Graph 1 NL10 and NL10 zoom:

Graph 2 NL10 normal tables only:

Goal Review:
Goal 1: 100k hands in 90 days. Fail.
Believe it or not I am actually very happy to have 70k (well, 69k) hands in total partly because when I was 1 month into this challenge I only had 20k hands played. Although I think I could have made it a lot closer to 100k hands I'm stoked anyway.
Goal 2: 10bb+ aiev winrate? Fail
I went way too far in trying to find spots to exploit opponents and played way too loose in various spots. I believe I posted various spews already in the thread.
My focus was off quite a lot in various parts of the challenge. If not because of playing NL50 / NL100 on another site at the same time it was because its not great for focus to be playing 9 tables of a small stake I don't care quite as much about as opposed to focusing hard on 5 to 6 tables of higher stakes I care more about. One huge error that crops up for me all the time is accidentally donk-betting flops where I make the mistake of thinking I was the preflop raiser. This leads to a ton of difficult spots and is obviously a huge leak.
This is not even touching on the fact I was trying to passively defend my BB way more than I was used to and this is certainly where my game is weakest. I was just calling preflop and C/F flop or taking C/C C/F or C/C C/C C/F lines way too much. I was actually losing a lot at showdown as well by Check/raising flop a lot and then simply giving up when called. Very bad for my winrate ♦
All things considered I am surprisingly happy with a 3.15bb/100 WR. It shows that I can if you excuse my french, 'Fuck things up an absolute shitton but still win'. I'm not going to complain about coolers or bad beats, because although I did get into a lot of setups I was also 1/2bb over aiev by the end of the challenge.
Cliffs for people who don't like reading:
Goal 3: Spew about and have fun! Success!
I think it is self evident from my results that I managed very well in spewing about part of my goal even though I tightened up a little towards the end of my challenge. I had a lot of fun in my initial zoom hands as well where I just ran into fish instead of nits and did exceedingly well
Its nice to play a game you think is a nitfest and have that happen.
Hand time!
I shall search for some big hands I've won and lost in the challenge as well as a couple of marked ones:
Hands won!:
Hand 1: http://wt.ag/18txGIx
Hand 2: http://wt.ag/18txUQ3
Hand 3: http://wt.ag/18tymh3
Hands lost!
Hand 1: http://wt.ag/18tyKMw
Hand 2: http://wt.ag/18tyRIf No i idea why I called this one... I seem to remember he even said something which makes him stronger still! 'I don't think you've got the flush'
Hand 3: http://wt.ag/18tzocW I had a strange dynamic vs this player. I think I stacked him in a way that made him think I was a fish or something.
3 Marked Hands!
Hand 1: http://wt.ag/18tAnde MP is 16/13 on 350 hands. Other guy is unknown on 6 hands.
Hand 2: http://wt.ag/18tAEgk On flop I thought he was just making his bluff cheap or going for a float induce which made me very surprised when he bet turn. He was 14/11 on 370 hands with a 6% overall 3bet. Other guy is 41/25 dude on 135 hands.
Hand 3: http://wt.ag/18tB724 Villain is 57/7 on 140 hands ♦ His Bet River is 41%
Right, hope everyone enjoyed that. I might post some more marked hands from the challenge in this thread later as well. No more NL10 from now, If my desire to play tiny stakes comes back later I may try playing 30 mins a day on 8 tables of zoom or something and do a challenge based on that.
You were playing very LAG (31/27/9).
How do you handling re-steal? (you on BU vs 3bet from blinds). What is your "fold to 3bet" from CU/BU?
I'm just go from NL5 to NL10 on Stars and I noticed people resteal me much much more than NL5 even though my stats is only 24/20/6. I struggling what to do on CU/BU.
Any tips and tricks how to handle wide re-stealing (15%-20%) would be appreciated.
And congrats on playing very lag. It must be fun for you.

Firstly, thanks for reading and Hi! ![]()
Secondly, Thanks for the question although I think I may be the wrong person to ask about defending vs 3bets because my foldto3bet is way too high (well, i think i'm a tad over paranoid about it), however I can break down what I do pretty simply:
1) I visualise/imagine the range I am being 3bet with. If it is depolarised I keep that % in my head. If it is a polarised range I add a couple of %. (I treat a polarised range as a slightly wider depolarised range if that makes sense)
2) I play back with pretty much the same range as I have position.
3) If the hand I'm looking at is on the edge of this range or just outside it I decide whether to 3bet/fold it or whether villain has postflop leaks I can take advantage of. If not I fold.
4) This step actually comes first: Vs aggressive regs I defend a wider range and open fewer hands. If they are exploitable I try adjust my 4bet ranges accordingly. I'm often light 4betting only the 2nd time I get 3bet in a resteal spot.
Example:
1) We open BU and someone with 8% overall 3bet range resteals. We don't have that many hands so we imagine vs BU he has a polarised 10 to 12% range to 3bet vs us. So my magic number here is 14%
2) 14% basically means all broadways but thats not the range I want to play. I play 99 88 77 by calling and 4bet/fold some hands like KTo QTo perhaps even KJo if I'm unhappy about the playability and I add some suited connector type hands as well as my suited broadways.
3) When villain has something highly exploitable about his stats I'll add hands to my 4bet/fold range (eg weak Axs I don't want to call with) If he plays too face up and cbets and gives up a ton I'll expand my calling range to some offsuit connectors and suited gappers as well.
I hope that helps. My fold to 3bet seems to be about 66% which I think is high buuuut I do have a huge steal% on SB and BU which goes part way to explaining why it might seem exploitable.
Thank you for answer. I'll think about your idea and hopefully can come here later to respond.
I was playing very wide from CU/BU at NL5 and can steal happy. My winrate was very high from CU/BU. Now, with ATS (Attemp to Steal): 51 my fold to 3bet is 77% ![]()
I have to fix it for sure.
Oh, and just for idea for you abut point #1: why don't you use "3bet Steal" beside "3bet Preflop"? by doing so we can spot who is 3bet light from blinds.
Would anyone like to see any more hands from this Challenge, or does anyone have any comments on how I could have reported it better?
Perhaps its just not interesting enough tbh. 100k hands of NL10 isn't the most thrilling subject for a challenge blog in the world as I'm not moving stakes or playing for the big moneys or anything like that ♦ Perhaps I could try this at NL25 or 50 If i ever make it to the level where i can play all mid-stakes.

You seem to know what your doing so why not just do a 16NL challenge? good job with this one
how many tables were u playing? 9 standard or 4 zoom? do you find zoom to be tougher? I do have 3bb/100 winrate over last 100k hands 12-tabling NL10 as well, very hesitant about trying NL10 zoom though
nl16/nl25 challenge would be cool ♠_cool:

Thanks a lot! 16NL tilted me a bit with its strange blind sizes and strangely low number of tables running compared to 10NL or 25NL, so i'd prefer not to play it ♦ At the moment I'm just trying to memorise what should be 'optimal' in certain spots with a fewer number of tables so I can better work out what reg weaknesses are for when I move up to 100NL on a site that isn't hugely soft like stars.

I was tiling 9 tables on my screen because I like having them nice and big. I would switch around how many of them where zoom and for a bit actually played 4 zoom and 5 normal tables! Pretty bad that I got back into some of my old paranoid zoom habits though, I need to let go of that HeroFold part of me ![]()
I'd say if you have 3bb/100 at 12 regular tables you stand a decent chance of being +ev at the zoom tables, but you may find your winrate drops worryingly low or even break-even with the tighter style that is common at these tables resulting in less money being handed away in general.
NL25 Challenge is the next logical step but I think I'm just going to stay focused on learning for the time being. If I did a challenge it would be purely for fun, something like: 8 table NL2 zoom for an hour a day and see how good or bad my winrate is now I play NL25 through 100
